Oz
The man of light appears to be doing nothing, absolutely nothing. He stands in place, neither moving, breathing, talking. It is made a little clearer just what it is, as it blinks out of existence, and as soon as it does, the man in the chair casts a spell and another appears. This one exactly like the other, just as inactive.

Knowledge Local DC 13:
The man in the chair actually strikes you as familiar. You realize you recognize him from the wanted posters the city guard has put up for his various minor crimes. His name is Plutivarch Dremis, and the guard is willing to pay a bounty of one-hundred fifty gold for his head. Dead or alive.

The others

As Elrawien stands beside the pipe with a dwarf lodged firmly inside, her spell causes the goblin looking down the pipe to stare dumbfounded at that very dwarf.

Trying again to make purchase in the slick foulness of the walls, Dareon kicks into the soft muck of it, lodging his feet deep enough to produce footholds he can stand in. This allows him to make his way up the wall and out of the filth itself.

Round 2:
Gaileyon - Moved to Q12, while drawing his weapon
Goblin 1 - Missed Dareon again with filth bag, drew short sword
Goblin 2 - 5' step, hit Gaileyon with filth bag
Goblin 3 - Missed Dareon again, 5' step
Faedrin - Moved, missed goblin 3
Tanjvats - Cast bless

Elrawien - Moved to Q12, dazed Goblin 2

Gaileyon writhes and wriggles within the pipe, his legs hanging out towards the group as he begins vomiting from the nasty item the Goblins hurled at him.

That was it. That was his last straw. 'These goblins will pay.'

He wiggles forward through the pipe, attempting to get all the way through. The Dwarf will grunt towards the Goblin that threw the bag of nasty at him, "You, little one, are not going to like this!"

He stands as he finally makes his way through, then he'll grab the little creature, dropping his weapon to do so. "Do Goblins fly?!" he says with a bit of a toothy grin, not unlike that expected of an Orc.

As Oz approaches the man silently, seeing that the creature was in fact a mere spell of sorts, he's comforted. However, as he looks at the other man who's gotten comfortable, a striking familiarity encroaches him...

Knowledge: Local: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

He recognizes the man as a bounty, and while it wasn't slavers, he could still likely get something out of him. 150 gold was a lot, actually.

Sneaking up, he draws both of his daggers, one of which is his most trusted weapon, his Gladius, and his new one. He raises the weapon high, explicitly waiting for a moment where he was certain to strike with as little obstacles as possible.

He looked down at his daggers, worried a bit, if only because he didn't want to be caught with no weapons in his hands. The prospect of throwing them was wonderful, but, he decided to wait it out and see if the man made any movements.

Barring that, he gets closer, hearing the crack of the wood beneath his feet, his heart nearly stops. Not faltering, he makes a lunge for the man!

Oz, I don't know what your rolls looked like in preview, but with the nat 1 on skills houserule, your knowledge local is a -2 total. Your attacks are a 9 and 7 (and you can't full-attack/two-weapon fight if you move more than a 5' step in a round)

Gaileyon, I think it may have been Flikr, because it works for me now, but it didn't last night. Also, you do not do damage on the initial grapple, only on subsequent successful ones in which you chose to damage instead of other options. Monsters with grab and constrict are the exception.

Gaileyon squirms the rest of the way in, given the reprieve allowed by Elrawien's dazing of the goblin. With the creature dumbfounded, the dwarf drops his big weapon and takes a firm grip on the nasty little creature.

Seeing the dwarf come in and grab their fellow goblin, and the other man leave the opening of the other pipe, the remaining two rush out of the pipe into the room. The one with the broom handle drops out of the pipe and prods at the board with Fade on it vehemently, trying to dislodge the elf man. This was the moment it had been waiting for, as it lines up the plank with the end of the handle and slides it off its holding ledges. The results of which is it dumping Faedrin into the sludge collected in the bottom half of the room.

The other one hops out, and seeing the elf woman, tries to hit her with his sword, but only manages to ding it off the side of the pipe she stands beside.

Faedrin spills off the board into the muck, dropping fully beneath the surface of filth. The goblin, so jubilant at its success, isn't even expecting the underwater leg sweep that puts it under the filth as well. As the goblins tumbled Faedrin into the muck, a small, smelly globule of the filth arced up and away from the splashing combatants. Tanjvats watched it sail, almost majestically, towards him and land with a barely perceptible splat on his cheek.

He twitched and blinked a few times and then began a low moan that slowly rose to a shout. "Grrruuuuuuuuuuhhh....Why can't you keep CLEAN!?"

His face twisted into a vicious snarl and he grabbed his mace from his belt. Shouting again (something garbled about litter bugs) he leaped down on the nearest goblin.

Cursing himself for the foolishness of not noticing the door and the fact that the goblins came back into the room anyway, Dareon plops back into the muck, grimacing as it seeps back into his clothing and between his armor and flesh. Stepping aside from the pipe, to stand by Elrawien and between Faedrin and the prone goblin, Dareon readies his sword for an attack.

Dareon moves to P12, probably provoking an AoO from the goblin in P11 (against his AC 20) and attacks the goblin in O11

Knowing that enemies on their back can't defend themselves as readily as enemies on their feet, Dareon sweeps his blade into the muck and at the goblin that had just been downed by Faedrin.

Oz

Once again Oz swings at the man, but in his eagerness to cautiously dance away, he moved too soon and missed hitting anywhere near the man altogether. Concern over his proximity to the man is ill-placed however, as the man in fact seems relieved that the odd masked man is no longer standing over him.

He stands, and angrily speaks, "Who sent you, the Consortium? Well I have a plan and they'll get more than their money's worth when I'm through. As for you..." he begins muttering and waving his arms, clearly casting another spell. When he finishes, two glowing darts of energy fly forth from his outstretched hand to strike you unerringly.

Stand up, and cast a spell, 2d4 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 2 = 5 force damage.

Round 2:
Oz - 5 damage, missed and moved away
Enemy - Stood, cast a spell on Oz

The others

Despite Tanjvats careful deliberation over his footing as he lands, it is unnecessary, as the glop sitting under the stagnant filth is deep enough to hold fairly firmly. He is able to bring his weapon down atop the nearest goblin, but it is only a glancing blow, as the goblin was aware of his coming by the shouting that preceded it.

Elrawien draws her fencing blade, and stabs forth at one of the goblins newly arriving in the room. She, like the goblin before her, finds the pipe between them too much of an obstacle.

Dareon moves to the top of the pipe from his height on the wall, and kneeling down stabs rather precisely into, what is obviously sewage by this time, to split the throat of the downed goblin.

Round 3:
Allies: +1 morale to attacks and saves vs. fear (9 rds)

Gaileyon - Moved to P13, dropped weapon, grappled goblin 2
Goblin 1 - 2 damage, Moved to P11, missed Elrawien

Faedrin - Tripped goblin 3, stood up.
Tanjvats - Moved to Q11, hit goblin 1

Elrawien - Moved to Q12, dazed Goblin 2
Dareon - Kills Goblin 3

So, that's the key, Dareon needs them to be prone (like when sleeping) ;P
Also, the +/- 10 is only for skills since they do not have auto-success/fail rules. A nat 20 attack or save is just an auto hit/save.

I posted that in gameplay? Woops.

Realizing that his acrobatic dexterity meant absolutely nothing in the face of a man so magically inclined, Oz faltered a bit. His best chance was to get the attack off at the beginning, but alas, he'd missed that chance. His only option was to break line of sight, and hope those blasted force rays weren't accurate at a distance.

Recoiling from the wound, he looked at the man, face shrouded, but obviously concerned.

The idea that crossed his mind at that point was something wondrous, really. He didn't know what this "corporation" was, but he knew a chance for subterfuge when he saw it. If it was worth anything, the society had likely heard of it, and vice-versa.

Fleeing from the room, he started to shout as he ran a full 60 feet out of the room. "Heidmarch! We've been had! Get your boys in this place this instant!" he said, trying to make as much noise as possible, about it while also staying to the darkest area possible to avoid vision.

Bluff: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5 I swear to all that is holy. If I survive this, I'm taking levels in sorcerer.

Elrawien, a few things. Use the discussion thread for posts that aren't in-character. The above post should have gone there, as should have the post that read "Is the goblin in p12 still considered flanked?" portions of a gameplay post that aren't in-character should be in blue script, like this script is. Also, your to-hit with bless is +4.

Dareon's gaze flits over to the half-orc, gleefully swinging his mace while rolling in filth and giggling. Something tells me that one's a bit unstable. I'll have to keep an eye on him.

Dareon does a little hop back into the muck, 5-foot step into O11 landing unceremoniously, but still maintaining his bearings enough to swing at the creature Faedrin had just disarmed. Dareon's blade cuts through goblin flesh like silk, giving Dareon a satisfied feeling until he realizes he'll have to clean himself probably...several times later today, and that the group would carry around sewer stink with them for hours.

As the goblin rises up, Tanjvats swings at it, and just skips off its armor due to misjudging where it exactly is due to the splashing.

Protectively, Faedrin whips his blade from it's sheath and twists the blade out of the hand of the goblin threatening both he and his sister. The goblin tries to stab before its blade slips away, but it is just not quite enough to pierce the elf's armor.

Meanwhile, Tanjvats, suddenly laughing along with the goblins, swings a heavy-headed mace. It is accompanied by a loud crunching of bone, as he cracks the goblin in the skull. It immediately stops laughing as it crumples under the surface.

Elrawien swings her own blade at the recently unarmed, and flanked, goblin. Her blade fails to come even threateningly close.

Flanked does not make a creature flat-footed, it just gives a +2 to the attack roll, and like flat-footed allows those with sneak attack to do so.

Even with the miss, it doesn't negatively affect the outcome much, as Dareon comes down from his perch and runs the last of the little buggers through. He drives his blade through the collarbone and a few ribs of the thing. It too sinks below the liquid, but not before Dareon pulls his blade free of the sinking body.

Combat is over.

Tanjvats slowly realized that, with the goblins dispatched, he was the only one left laughing. Dareon's askew glance was enough to quickly stifle the mirth, but the half-orc immediately felt a massive sadness. A gigantic sob rose up in his throat like a panicked pigeon.

Tanjvats suppressed the sound at great effort. His eyes watered a bit and he set his jaws to keep his lower lip from trembling.

Filth. Blood and violence...again. Forever.

Fighting to maintain his composure, he tried his best to raise his eyes to his companions.

"Is anyone hurt?"

Elrawein, looking at the half-orc, with a strange look on her face will hold out her hand and press it against his forehead. Are you feeling okay there, Tanjvats? Do you have a fever? You don't feel warm but I can test another part of your body for a more accurate assessment.

Whoa now Elrawien, don't you want to at least wait for the second chapter before you've slept with everybody in the party?

"Thankfully uninjured." mutters Dareon as he wades around in the glop, trying to discern goblins below the muck and stabbing them again just to make sure they're dead.

"I'm gonna need a bath. A really, really long bath."

Tanjvats, still emotionally disoriented, gave a wan smile to Elrawien and shook his head.

"I'm fine, thank you. No fever. And using the armpit for measurement won't work until I'm much cleaner." (If she had some other meaning, it was lost on the half-orc).

He looked down at his soiled clothes and gave a deep sigh.

Gaileyon leans down, looking through the pipe he'd successfully thrown the Goblin through. A wide grin filled with mirth upon his face, he boisterously announces, "Did you guys see that Goblin fly through the pipe?! Tell me that didn't look as amazing as it did in my head! That little fella' would have made a fine Bar Tosser!"

Unlike everyone else, the muck doesn't seem to much both Gaileyon. Being a Noble himself, one would have assumed his disgust with this place - but in reality it was not that different than the mines of his peoples. His happy-go-lucky demeanor attempting to liven and cheer up the downtrodden group.

Distracting himself from staring at the grime coating his nice, new, shiny armor, he looks into the tube at Gaileyon, allowing himself a small grin. "Worthy of the Chronicles, my friend. Come, get yourself out of there and lets get this Natalya. I think she has some s&&! to answer for."

Dareon walks to the house-side of the sludge, and reaches up, trying to reach the door handle, or barring that, hoping he can just push the door open.

Did you see that pun I just made? ;)

As the others try to make light of fighting goblins and being covered in excrement, Faedrin glowers as he tries to set the plank back in place as a bridge. Once set, he slips into one of the pipes and into the chamber the goblins emerged from, curious to see if there might be other avenues of approach that weren't suspended above pools of sewage. Additionally, he looks for a dry rag to try and wipe the filth from his hair, face, and clothes.

After Faedrin sets the board back up in place, he moves into the pipes to squeeze his way into the area the goblins came from. The pair of sewer pipes open into a cramped and filthy lair. The air is foul and the floor is worse, a slowly flowing shallow morass of sludge. A large sewer pipe exits, going deeper into Magnimar’s sewer system to the east. It's fairly obvious that the east tunnel hasn't actually seen any traffic in a while. Other than that, the room contains nothing more than a large, roughly goblin sized, dead rat. Even worse is that the thing looks half-eaten.

Dareon, reaching for the handle, realizes that he won't be able to reach from how deep the sludge floor is below the regular floor. Giving the door a push he realizes that, despite the awful condition of the place, the doors seem to work as intended. It sadly does not open with a push, and someone will likely have to get atop the board to actually open the door.

Dareon felt like a child, standing and reaching up, doing little hops to reach something that was out of his reach. Giving up after he realizes he just isn't tall enough, he moves back to the other side and hoists himself back up onto the dry ground, tossing the torch up onto the ground ahead of him.

Once there, he sits on the edge, legs hanging off. "Faedrin, get out of the goblin den and come open this door for us! We have business to attend to."

If necessary, he'll stand up for the leverage to give his compatriots a hand up.

Dareon wades over, and throws himself at the wall to try and scrabble out of the filth, but the slimy sides just keep slipping away with every effort.

Gaileyon moves to the pipe he'd originally climbed through, lowering himself down and wading back through to the rest of the group. He huffs, gruffs, and grumbles as he falls from the pipe and lands face first into the sludge.

Standing, his face finally looking disgusted as he is covered within the nasty contents of this room. "Eyy'ack! This stuff's nasty!" He shakes his head slightly, letting the drippings flail from his beard.

Reaching up to her brother to help her up and she climbs on Dareon's back, Give a boost brother? Master Dwarf isn't this the type of squalor you are accustomed to living in?

Dareon accepts Elrawien's admittedly not-significant weight with ease as he lifts her into the air to get up to the dry platform.

Offhandedly, he thinks about how this, right here, is exactly what he loves about the Pathfinder Society. There was so much tension in the group, but they could still put it aside for the sake of a mission. There aren't many organizations whose members do that sort of thing.

"Just make sure you get that door open, would you?"

Through the use of assistance and human ladder style aid, most of the group makes it back out the front door. They stand back at the opening, staring across the board that Faedrin put back into place before crawling into the pipes the goblins emerged from. Faedrin, is also the only one not yet back at the opening with the others.

Faedrin emerges from the pipe and works his way back to the front door with the rest of the group. He turns to Dareon, "Oh, I'll open the door, but only because you asked so nicely." Rolling his eyes as he turns back to the plank, he walks across to the other side and tries the door at the far end.
