Dareon's building to a fever pitch. He is absolutely done. Natalya is IN there and these rubes are just standing in between them and her, as if they weren't outnumbered, and as if they weren't carrying ranged weapons while being right next to a huge dwarf with a huge axe.

"Listen, boys. I don't think YOU understand. What we're doing is of tantamount importance. If we aren't allowed to stay, I do mean to harm you, too, and I think we'll be somewhat more successful with it than you will."

Dareon raises his bow, arrow drawn and nocked, pointed at the front guy.

"Now please leave before I'm forced to use this."

Ready action: Shoot bow at the first guy that tries to harm us.

Tanjvats felt his heart jump as Dareon raised his bow. The man seems upset! Part of him remained calm, taking a deep breath and readying for quick action.

In the back of his mind, however, a small part of him began to laugh a strange laugh, a silent mix of sorrow and glee, completely uncontrolled.

Tanjvats ground his teeth and unconsciously bared his tusks in an effort to keep from letting that laugh escape into sound.

As Dareon pushes the threat back at the men, it is enough for them to act on theirs. The one with his crossbow ready prepares to shoot. The second one coming out of the shack begins to draw his Morningstar.

Sorry, no ready's as we were one statement away from it being initiative. Either way, both Elrawien and Dareon go first, so ready or not they act before the thugs.

Elrawien, you don't have your sleep spell, you used it earlier this day against the Pugwampis.

Elrawien taps into the energy stored within her blade, and gathers it to cast a sleep spell like the one she had used earlier that day. The forward man, with the crossbow, drops to the ground and curls up resting his head on his arm. The second man looks drowsy, but avoids actually passing out, just shaking off the effects.

After this fight, without a light source, there will be some serious darkness penalties. I will skip it this battle though. Just a heads up.

Gaileyon drops his waraxe gently before charging the now dazed man, deciding to use his fists to put him down without killing him. Tanjvats and Gaileyon take the opportunity by the man being out of sorts, as they rush up to pummel the brute. Tanjvats avoids falling just making his way up there, but Gaileyon manages to knock a solid blow to the guy's jaw. There's a solid crack as he hits, and the man spits blood with the blow, but he's no glass jaw. It looks like he's been in more than his fair share of brawls.

Technically, by RAW, neither of you should have been able to charge, but I hate that allies are not obstacles in movement UNLESS you charge. So, I don't count allies as blocking charges.

Sorry - I was trying to post all of yesterday after I got off work, and Paizo's website was down all night. Couldn't even pull up the Campaign to view it!

Gaileyon grunts as the man attacks him with a drawn weapon. He looks at the man angrily, his head vibrating with anger. 'No' he thinks to himself. 'They're not ready for that yet'. He withholds his anger, and decides to take a quick step back, and draws his shield from his back and his Warhammer from it's belt loop.

"Alright, buddy boy. You've made the last mistake of your life. Time to treat you with hostility."

5ft step back and draws his Warhammer (as his dwarven waraxe is on the ground back behind him) and his Shield.

Gaileyon steps back and gears up for what is likely not a fistfight any longer.

With her straight shot right down the middle of the group, Elrawien throws another acid globule, but with her brother's proximity, she errs on the side of caution in not hitting him, but not so much that it misses the man. The acid once again gives the man a small burn as it lands on any exposed skin.

Dareon tries to line up a bow shot, but he once again tries to aim away from his newfound allies. It's not as bad as last time, but he ends up just hitting the wall of the shack the man is standing inside.

It causes his swing to stop just a little too short. Right after the swing, the elf dashes a feinting spin and actually makes it past the thug into the interior of the shack itself. Much to his chagrin, there is no door to the interior within, leaving them with only the southern door they had initially approached.

Blocked by the cover of fighting around the corner. The front door is at R11.

You didn't say it, you didn't do it.

You don't actually flank the guy. When you moved behind him, he stepped aside. You are beside Gaileyon for this attack.

As he apologizes to the thug, Faedrin delivers a heavy hilt punch across the man's cheek. The blow, coupled with the hit the dwarf delivered, knocks the man into the wall. He slides down it, unconscious.

The combat is technically over (one unconscious, one asleep)

mea culpa, I'd overlooked the most recent map update =\

As the thug collapses and his weapon falls to the ground, Faedrin nods, "Hmm, yes. Just like that, in fact. Much obliged."

Seeing the other thug go down and the immediate danger to his compatriots end, Dareon looks down to the thug at his feet, put to sleep by the elven mistress in their party.

He raises the blade in his hand, point straight down, and plunges it into the sleeping man's neck.

Coup de grace on the sleeping guard. 18 damage and a DC 28 Fortitude save or he dies.

Coup De Grace Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 8) + 6 = 18

Blood spurts on the ground around the man he's just killed, and Dareon looks up. "Now, what next? We need to get inside and find Natalya."

Fort save 1d20 ⇒ 11
I didn't bother to look up his modifier since I doubt it's +8, and the fact that 18 dmg puts him at 0 anyways. I just figured that if I got a nat 20 he'd wake up staggered, and stabbed in the neck.

The sleeping man emits a quick gurgle, as he is awoken by the shock, but is awake only long enough to exhale his last breath. The other one looks like he could be out for at least a couple of hours. The interior, of what appears to be the storage shed, is littered with fresh garbage and debris of recent habitation. No sign of entry into the building from here. Other than this place, the only entry you've seen is the southern door. Then again, you didn't exactly get to have your initial look around, since these men had interrupted you upon your arrival.

Liberty's Edge

Male Dwarf Barbarian (Armored Hulk); lvl - 1; AC 18(20 w/shield); touch 11; flat-footed 17; HP 17; HARROW: 2

Gaileyon smirks at the Elf, shaking his head while admiring in martial appreciation of the precise blow that the elf has struck. "Nice handy work pointy ears. Took him right down." The dwarf replaces his shield and Warhammer in their appropriate holsters, and walks back to retrieve his Waraxe from outside. "We should stabilize the crony inside, just in-case we need to wake him to get some answers if our search inside comes up empty."

Elrawien is going to look aghast at Dareon and walk up next to her brother. In Sylvan, "Fade, that human boy scares me. He is very violent, unnecessarily so.

Smirking at the unconscious man at his feet, Faedrin sheaths his kukri and turns as his sister approaches. "What are you talking about, little wasp? Dareon? Too violent? Ha! Just a poor shot is more like i-" Stepping out of the shed, his words stall and all mirth vanishes from his face as he sees the blood pooling beneath the other thug. Stunned and appalled he stammers, "De-dead? Bu-but why? He-he... he hadn't done anything wrong!" His eyes locking with Dareon's, Faedrin's countenance twists into one of unmasked disgust. "You murdered him, Dareon! Why?! Because you're impatient?! Because it was convenient?!"

Dareon's gaze flits to Faedrin, a blank look on his face and his mouth slightly open. He doesn't understand why the elf is yelling at him. The men had struck first, hadn't they?

"They attacked us. With lethal force, I might add. Isn't that wrong in itself? He was going to wake up soon and we already have an unconscious guard for the questioning, and they forfeit their fates to our prerogative as soon as they swung their first morningstar. Now, don't we have work to do, and don't we have to do it in a timely manner? Come, let's go around to the other entrance."

He knees for a moment to wipe the blood off of his sword on the dead man's pants - wiping on chainmail wouldn't do, and neither would wiping on cobblestone streets - before standing up and beginning the walk around the building. He looks expectantly at his companions.
