Four does seem a little small as a party to me; if Landon comes back, and we're at a solid five, I'd still feel better if we got an arcane caster for the group as well. Hopefully Landon will drop in sometime soon and give us an update on his status.
Also, as an aside, I'm thinking of asking players to run an NPC during combat as well. It's kind of arduous for me to play both baddies and allied NPC's in combat. Would anyone be up for that?

Hmmm. I've often contemplated whether I might delegate some duties if I ever get to DM around a table again, so I see no problem in principle. Especially when it does make sense, like in Hezar's case.
I got a PM from Landon advising me that he may not be able to return to the game due to personal circumstances. So, looks like we are down to four, for the time being at least. I'm unsure what to do about your declining numbers.

Bummer. No party size is enough to balance out the tragedy of losing someone. I, however, will roll with the punches. If you recruit someone, I'll give 'em the shortspoken gruff Dwarf act just as solidly as anyone in the party, and we'll keep right on truckin.'

Sadness.
I am happy if you want to bring someone in or if you want to just keep trucking as belgrin says.
I think people fade out because the posting rate is inconsistent. If we figure out how fast this game moves, now that you have your new job figured out. then we can bring in someone who wants to play that pace. When we brought the last group in it was on a 1 or 2 post daily rate, now we are at 2-3 per week.
Anyhow those are my thoughts on this I think the game is great still. The slow down actually came a great time for me as I was doing 16 hour days for a while the past month.
If you know any players whom you think would be a good fit for the game, please let them know that I'm looking for two players to bolster our numbers. I'd prefer your referrals to holding another open recruitment.
I'm thinking we can have them join you once you're north of the pass - perhaps they are hunting for Kane, as well.

And the curse of the disappearing mages begins again...will it claim another victim? Or will this bold soul finally be the one to break the fated cycle?

Hey guys. I am getting on a plane at 7:15pmCalifornia time and will be flying to the other side of the world. I will update from the airport in CA, then again on my long layover from the airport in London. I will then post a couple times away from the Middle East, but of course I will be on a weird time zone. So If I am a player in your game then please bot as necessary. If I am your GM, my apologies for any slow down that we have for the coming few weeks. However since there is a holiday coming I suspect there will be a slow down in any event.
Hi all. I'm KP. I'll be playing the new beat stick, Kevkas. He's a half-orc battle Oracle who often gets into friendly drunken brawls, occasionally argues with imaginary family members only he can see, and drops his giant sword frequently enough that he keeps it tied to his wrist with a string to make sure he doesn't lose it. Should be fun. Glad to be on board.
You won't be meeting the new players at the inn - heehee :-)
Just so everyone knows, I'm thinking of a one week shutdown, from Christmas day (dec 25th) to new years (jan 1st). I expect most will likely be busy during that time frame anyway, so a short break will probably be welcome.
If it weren't for the "half-orc" part, it sounds like Kevkas would get along swimmingly with Belgrin and Janiries.
This is looking like fun on the horizon... :-)
Come on. Half-Orc with an 18 STR and a 17 Cha? He'll get along with everybody. He's like the Rock, but stronger and better looking (not better smelling, though, unfortunately).
"Who does the extrovert gorilla make friends with?" "Whoever he wants!" :)
