The two gnoll brothers both grab their weapons off the wagon and then jump down on either side of it, kicking the brakes into locked position.

Catfolk: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Catfolk: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15 caught
Gnoll: 1d20 ⇒ 19

The large lizardfolk begins to laugh as the grass and roots continue wrapping around him tightly. As they do, his body bursts into flames, and the grass and roots ignite and poof into ash. The flames lick down his polearm until the blade bursts into a roar of flames.

Reflex: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Per the spell, the debris has to be capable of reaching the target. Since the lizardfolk's body is on fire, and grass is burnable, I'm giving him a bonus to his reflex save to avoid being intangled, since all that can entangle him is bits of dirt and rocks. I should have applied it last round when he was first entangled, but I forgot about the fire reacting when he was grappled (which is pretty much the same thing as entangling)

Connor was keeping an eye peeled to the rear of the party, so the enemies popping out of the tall grass to the front caught him by surprise.

Connor quickly took in the entire area, looking from his aerial vantage point. "Hearing" Selvan through his mental Net, Connor instructed both the ground construct near Reaghar and the flying construct escorting Alys to the front area with commands to attack.

The fiery explosion from the lizard-man in front gave Connor pause, and he changed his commands: one ground-fighter would flank, while the other two would take the lizard-man. It looked like Sam had shifted the grass surrounding the attackers with a mindpower. Connor would have to ask about that later. He would also have to make sure any new astral constructs had resistance to fire.

{Astral Construct #3 (Utility-Flight) spends the entire round flying, 20 ft x 4. AC 18, 15 hp, not transformed yet. Going to lizard-man by way of Sammark's location.)
(Astral Construct #1 (Utility-Ground) as first sacrificial lamb to the lizard-man. Moving 15 feet into entangled area and attacking.)

Reflex save DC 16: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13 (Stuck. Unless mdt says it is burnt grass now. Close enough.)

The astral construct dropped the deadwood it has been holding, and ran forward at the lizard-man, changing as it went. Just after the fiery explosion, the construct took a haymaker leap at the reptile.

Slam atk: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21 (Oh sure, my constructs get the lucky dice. AC 18, 15 hp, Ref +2)
Dmg if hit: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8

::Seven attackers.:: Connor sent, giving the others tactical information. ::Lizard-man center at 100 feet, he just lit on fire, and his weapon is on fire too. Magic, obviously. Three gnolls and three cheetah-men 40 feet behind him. Whatever Sam did tangled the six animal-men, but the lizard is free with that outburst. Could be the Grimjowl we were told about. Six animal-men have crossbows. Sam looks unhurt. Making more flying astral constructs.::

Gliding closer and lower to the wagon from where he was in the air, Connor began manifesting another construct. (5-ft move.)

His power only works when he wills it to, so it doesn't affect people between his actions, including the constructs.

As the construct rushes the lizard, the lizard growls and his polearm slashes at the construct as it closes, it's superior reach giving it an attack of opportunity.

Polearm: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 1 = 22

The construct lets out a scream as it's structure is shredded in mid leap.

Sorry Connor, even when the dice bot likes you, it hates you.

Before Reaghar flies, the catfolks and gnolls fire their bows. All of them however concentrate on Sammark now, as he is the obvious threat with his control over the grass.

Three arrows slam into Sammark with a thud of finality. The half-elf is sent staggering back and down in a spray of his own blood. The grass and debris holding the catfolk, gnoll, and lizardfolk settles down and stops moving any more than normal.

The lizardfolk laughs with a belly deep chuckle as the last bits of clinging stuff drops off him, and he moves again, slightly diagonally, to take him within reach of Connor's other construct.

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18
Damage: 1d10 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 12 + 1 = 14

His polearm swats it down with contemptuous ease, slamming the thing into the ground hard, leaving most of it's ectoplasm as a large splash mark on the ground. Somehow despite the massive hit it took, the construct holds itself together. Literally, holding it's shredded body with one arm to keep the remaining ectoplasm from spilling out.

Looking up at Reaghar flying straight up, the lizardfolk laughs a huge gut juggling laugh. "COME BACK DOWN PRETTY BIRD, I NEED FEATHERS FOR MY PILLOW!" The things scarred eye glows balefully as it laughs. There is an odd timbre to it's voice, almost as if it were resonating.

::Such a braggart.:: Connor opined in response to the lizard-man. ::Sammark is down! I'm sending a construct with a tattoo his way. Ouch, that's a lot of arrows. Once those crossbowmen get closer, we're all pincushions. Selvan,:: Connor sent, ::use that magic potion first if you have to.::

Taking a tattoo from his hand and pressing it onto the ectoplasm, he gave the construct orders to fly to Sammark first, transfer and tap the tattoo, and then attack the lizard-man. The little construct flew off (full move).

The heavily damaged astral construct on the ground (#2, AC 18, 1 hp, Ref +2) changed, becoming thinner, the mass going to its' single arm. It mindlessly attacked the lizard-man (Who probably gets an AoO with that polearm again and kills it before it can even reach him.)

The creature doesn't bother attacking the near destroyed construct. The construct slams it's arm into the lizardfolk, who doesn't even grunt at the blow, but it does laugh as it's skin erupts into fire and the near destroyed construct bursts into flames and splatters burning ectoplasm everywhere.

It does, however, slam it's weapon at the flying construct.

AoO: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
Damage: 1d10 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 12 + 1 = 22

The flying construct detonates on contact with the weapon, splattering ectoplasm for 10 ft around the impact. The lizard gives another belly rumbling chuckle.

It is a good tactic, but not vs ranged combatants. They only take a -2 to hit, and it turns you into priority target #1.

Selvan's arrow strikes true, hitting the massive lizardfolk in the chest dead center. The arrowhead shatters on impact, and the shaft falls in multiple pieces, all on fire as flames flare from the impact.

Gaje and Jorge look at each other, and then with dual screaming leaps, they charge forward.

The little astral construct (#4) landed next to Sammark, touching its' left hand to him. A black tattoo wiggled off of the construct's finger onto Sammark's face, and the construct tapped it, activating the tattoo of natural healing (I think Sam's already played/expected this, since mdt said he was at -6 hp, but Sam said he was already stabilized at -3 hp. With this action, he's at -3 hp and stabilized.).

Connor finished sculpting his largest astral construct yet, the ectoplasm as big as a full-grown Humavian.

Before the man-sized construct took off, Connor tore the burlap sack off of his backpack, handing it to the artificial being. He also flashed a series of commands to the short-lived ectoplasm. Fly to the lizard man, release this bag of caltrops on top of it, then attack until you or it is no more. Flank with the friendly gnolls (picture) if possible.

The astral construct took off at top speed. (20 ft., even if it full-out flies next round it will only get to Sammark's position. So 3 rounds to Grimjowl.)

::Everyone,:: Connor sent over Selvan's Net, ::I just made a construct big enough and fire resistant to stand up to Grimjowl. Let's hope nobody dies before then. It's also carrying caltrops. Those should hurt it even with that magical fire effect.::

Connor kept slowly flying to the wagon. (5-foot move.) He started forming another man-sized astral construct.

The other five look at the wounded one, then up at Selven. The three catfolk switch from Alys, whom they were about to fire at, and to Selven.

The astral construct next to Sammark (#4) began looking over the half-elf. As soon as it found a tattoo, the construct tapped it. (Sammark's character sheet says he has one Psionic Tattoo of Natural Healing, so that's another 3 hp back. Sam is at 0 hp and awake. Now to drag him away from the -ahem- "heat of the battle".)

Except your wings lock when you go unconscious. All of the flying creatures do, you fall as if under featherfall in a tight spiral. So no fall damage.

Gaje begins running forward and tumbling to attempt to get past the large lizardfolk without provoking.

However, he fails miserably as he slips on some of Sammark's blood.

Gaje's mobility however, as he ducks and rolls under the polearm swipe, saves him.

Jorge also moves, diving and rolling to move to the south of the creature.

Jorge, using Gaje's poor luck to his advantage, manages to move on the other side of Grimjowl without letting the lizardfolk get a hit in on him.

Grimjowl laughs a gutteral laugh. "Tickles!"

Gaje calls out. "Jorge, yah, 'tink he be eating good steak, grow stronger..."

Jorge ducks under some whisps of stray flame. "Yah... hard like Sis's head..."

While all the fiery bursts were going on between the gnoll brothers and the lizard-man, the little construct (#4) lifted Sammark off of the grass by his shoulders, and pulled, dragging the half-elf away from the conflagration. (Sam doesn't have his weight on his character sheet, only his height of 5'7", but being a half-elf, he should be between 134-200 lbs, which is "heavy" for the construct's STR of 15. A 15-ft diagonal drag through the high grass. Sam is still prone, awake, and at 0 hp, I guess.)

Connor watched from his glide in the air. (5-ft move.) ::Sending the two astral constructs after the archers. The Gashans are better fighters than I thought. C'mon Reaghar, you can do it! Hit that reptile!:: he sent on Selvan's Net. He needed a long-range power. But healing would be better. The team definitely needed more tattoos and power stones. They still had too many specialists, including himself. It was frustrating being in the back unable to provide support like this.

Connor viewed all around them, making sure another team of cat-men and hyena-men weren't sneaking up on them. Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 (Bleah.)

Connor reached behind him, unslinging his crossbow.

Following new orders, the first large astral construct (circle-1; has a bag of caltrops) overflew the lizard and the hyena-brothers, aiming for the group of archers. (Full 80-ft fly. 3/5 rounds.)

The second large astral construct (circle-2) flew over its' previous target as well, landing next to the female elfavian on the ground. (All it can do this turn. 2/5 rounds.)
