Physical Playtest Products

Hey Paizo Staff!

Looking at the picture of the Playtest Map Pack, the map looks suspiciously similar to Woodlands and Forest. However, I know that sometimes you don’t have a map image ready yet, and use an existing product’s image as a stand-in. Since I am very likely to order the Playtest Flipmats, I wanted to doublecheck that I don’t own them already.

Can you guys check for me if they are identical to existing products, or their own new thing?

I am also interested in any existing maps that might appear in the upcoming quests and Playtest adventures.

Yea, they will re-brand stuff.
Look at the Starship Corridors and Starship Chambers. Both were PF products, but are now available as a SF product.

this, so much this. was thinking this just a bit ago. i have lots of maps and would not like to buy the same ones again, cause that would eat into me buying some dont have.

I understand marketing and branding, but I do wish they'd just publish the maps under the Paizo name.

I like that they republished maps — darklands is coming back! — but I want them to name them in such a way that I KNOW what maps they are.

I have a flipmat addiction. Flipmats help me get through conventions quickly as I shift from game to game. But I don’t need repeats.

Good question Hillary, I also would like to make sure that I have enough "playsets" of the flip maps used for the playtest.

I just spoke with James and confirmed that the maps included in the Doomsday Dawn map bundle should all be new maps.
