That's because I posted in gameplay :)
Feel free to dive in.
I pushed ahead only a little. And I am clearly downplaying the lycanthropy bit with the ex-PCs.
Eliva, Angalia, and Nathaniel will look after Andrzej and Tybalt so that the rest of you don't have to.
Leandro, Res, Volidrian, and Anuqa would be able to meet up with Patrick's PC in the inn and discuss how (if at all) you want to address the toymaker issue. You have 2 1/2 days before you are set to sail on the unfortunately-named ship, the White Lady (yeah - I'm just going to lean into it, rather than retcon it...). That is set to take you to Mordentshire, where Dr. Savarre awaits having traveled there to meet with Professor Binwick.

Long recap:
Several PCs were whisked to Ravenloft by the Mists along with Lord Gilbraith of Andoran. They have pursued him at the urging of the Vistani, who foresaw that the PCs' fate was linked to Gilbraith's, and that he would be the key to them ever being able to return home to Golarion.
Along the way, the original PCs met up with several new like-minded allies who also seek an escape from Ravenloft.
The party has learned that Gilbraith has quickly come under the patronage of a cabal of elder vampires known as the Crimson Court - possessed both of powerful blood and formidable political influence in the realms of Borca and Dorvinia. One of the most powerful and prominent of their number is a vampire named Tetslin who seems to have a plan afoot. The party learned that he is seeking 6 artifacts to complete a ritual (referred to as the Ritual of the Grey Gates):
Harrag's Skull - An item of necromantic power, previously possessed by the necromancer Monerre. He traded it to Katalin Szabo, a member of the Crimson Court, in exchange for a promise that she impart the secret of lichdom. The Crimson Court likely knew Monerre would be overpowered by the PC's, however, and the sad sack never did get to become a lich.
Saran's Fang - A blade known to reside in Lord Vlad of Falkovnia's personal armory. How the Crimson Court would plan to obtain it you do not know.
The Yellow Jade - Unknown.
The Blightstaff - Unknown.
The Bleak Rose - Unknown.
The Eternal Shroud - Unknown.
The Crimson Court seemed to be in an alliance with the wererats of Richemulot. The two clans - wererat and vampire - seem to have their sights set on Falkovnia, perhaps in connection to Saran's Fang. But Lord Vlad possesses one of the largest armies known in the demiplane, and an invasion of his realm is rather inconceivable.
The party became acquainted with Dr. Jean-Eric Savarre in Richemulot. He sent them after Harrag's Skull in Souragne, while he traveled to Mordentshire to meet with Professor Royal Binwick, an expert in occult matters, to decipher the meaning of the ritual, the importance of the artifacts, how the Crimson Court might plan to use all of it, and how Lord Gilbraith is involved.

Hmm. I’ll delve into that tonight
[Morgan Freeman] He did not, in fact, delve into that last Tuesday[/Morgan Freeman]
I think I have my class/archetype. Now I just have to do all the icky math.
we are 6th level yes?
Point buy? Epic? or other?
16K starting gold?
Anything else I should know/have?

In the interest of keeping things moving, we can abbreviate the discussion in the inn unless you have more things you want to discuss.
I will be looking for some indication of your plans. Do you plan to return to the toymaker's workshop by day, or after dark, or not at all? We can advance to that when you all are ready.

Does anyone know if there is a way to get phone notifications when someone posts?
I don't know of one. I am happy to ping you outside of the game, though, if you want to be alerted to a turn in initiative, etc. You can feel free to PM me with a contact method.

Prepping these encounters was new territory for me. I tend to stick with published stat boxes, but all the creatures I wanted to use in the toyshop were too easy for a 6th level party. I had to stack templates on every creature in this place, and I have to say it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I don't know why I was so intimidated by it.

I'd be happy to work up some monsters for you if you can trust me to keep player knowledge to myself. :)

Likewise with maps and map tokens. Happy to help.
I'm at least as trustworthy as a badger.
You don't find a spreadsheet with borders and initials to be terribly immersive? (lol)
I may take you up on that!
And you, too, badger!

Dr. Tovanarish is sick of these dolls' s~*!.
Crossbow the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure

Ravenloft is so interesting for a paladin. I have no way to detect evil because there's an overwheming presence of it everywhere. I just assume anything we're going to fight fits the bill and prepare protection from evil.
Hope it works.

Hey all. Another PbP I am running needs a few more players. If you are interested, you can post >here< and I can give you more information. It’s a modern-day occult game, with Lovecraftian/Twilight Zone/X Flies vibes to it.

So hello! Apologies for poking my head into someone else's thread, but CH advised I ask here. I'll be out of your collective hair shortly. =)
I'm starting up a PF1/3.5 PbP of my own, set in the world of the CastleVania series of games and periphery, and looking for a player or two to round out my group. Details are in the discussion thread if you'd like to read them over. I'd love to see a few more familiar faces given the opportunity to play along if there's any interest.
Discussion thread is linked here. Character creation details are in the second post.
You are now returned to your regularly scheduled campaign discussion. Thanks for your time!

I was reading about ability damage, and it heals at 1 point per day. But allips are said to spread insanity, which is WIS damage. So... how do people go insane if WIS damage heals at 1 point per day? I haven't used an insanity mechanism in-game before. Should I roll up a new character? I'm game for RPing insanity for a while, but not long-term. There's quite enough of that in my life. ;)

The Wis damage is described flavor-wise as an insanity effect. You could roleplay some level of insanity in proportion to your current Wis damage. (Obviously at 0 you are catatonic, so there is nothing to roleplay until you get back to 1). So in this case restoration magic can rapidly restore your sanity, such as if your divine casters prepare lesser restoration multiple times tomorrow. The nature of that temporary insanity can be as you see fit - or roll if you like randomness.
This isn’t Call of Cthulhu, so I don’t need permanent sanity loss for you.
