Hey, I made a 1" X 1" grid map of The Cathedral of Wrath and exported it to a PDF. It is several pages (6), so just print it to your printer in actual size, cut out and tape together. I added a couple of things but not too much. Scale isn't exact, either. I couldn't make the rounded stairs but it works for me!

Here's the link.

I made a rough map of the Sandpoint hinterlands area for players: less detail than the one included in the AP. I have it available for my players to purchase at The Way North (map shop in Sandpoint).

I also made a rough map of South West Varisia to go with my detailed map I've made of the region. This is all invented stuff beyond what Paizo have created.

Cross-posted from Nynphaiel's advice request thread:

I've just started running RotRL for the first time, and one of the thing that I find crucial is having all the information for Sandpoint at my fingertips. As much as love the design work that went into the Anniversary edition, it's not the best laid-out for quick reference. I went through the Sandpoint info, and put together the following cheat-sheets:

Sandpoint NPCs - This is an alphabetical list of NPCs (by first name), with summaries of the details presented in the Anniversary edition. All the stats were pulled from the Community templates for HeroLab. 16 pages.

Sandpoint Resources - A shorter (2 page) summary of the resources available to PCs in Sandpoint: Local experts listed by their area of expertise, Mentors listed by class, and Goods & Services.

Sandpoint Info - Another short (3 page) document with lists of some of the more pertinent info for Sandpoint: Who makes up the Sandpoint Mercantile League and other significant families in town, a list of the Chopper's notable victims*, a list of the local Goblin tribes (and their heroes and territories), and a list of the gods with shrines in the Cathedral.

Feel free to use these lists: I probably got even more out of making them up than you will reading them, because I had to read over the Sandpoint material multiple times to get everything down. It gave me a much better understanding of the ties between the characters, and what role they play in the AP.

* I included Das Korvut's wife and child from the excellent Chopper's Isle adventure in the list of Chopper's victims.

These are nice SoylentG, I'll be printing the Resources sheet as a quick reference for sure.

it is made from the original map made by kwirky88 :)

i print them cut them BY ROOMS ( so the players cant see where they are going ) glue them on cardboard and then lay them on the table 1-1 :) if you have problems laying them on the table go ahead and by a toolbox liner . you can find them in any super-market or for better quality to a hardware store . link to where i got the idea from . : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqffxaVuiS0

Does anyone have the face cards in dpf?? if yes please link or mail :)

Sovereign Court

Paizo don't sell .pdfs of their face cards.

I suppose someone could scan them all and then convert to .pdf for their own use but I think distributing them might be illegal.

i think i post about this in the wrong post but has anyone made complete a monster conversion sheet for the Burnt Offering ? is yes i would like to have it

Here you go.

I'm just running the first parts of Burnt Offerings, and am stuck looking for a map for the Boar Hunt sections.

I'm running it on Roll20, and any advice would be appreciated for ways to run the encounter...

Simon,

If you search the Maps/tiles section on Roll20, there are lots of sample maps to use. If you search for Forest, you should be able to find one suitable.

Also, I have much love for Roll20. I'm running my RotRLAE game on there right now and we just started Fortress of the Stone Giants. Yay!

Might help to delete the space in "catacombs" and "glassworks" in the links.

After a bit of a hiatus, my group has now finished part 3, and are about to start Fortress of the Stone Giants. I did some write-ups of Turtleback Ferry, Bitter Hollow, and Pendaka if anyone is interested. Used a random town generator for the foundation then added details, so nothing too special. Cleaned them up and saved them as .pdf files and added them to my Dropbox here:

Hook Mountain Town Writeups

My group just finished part 2 (Skinsaw Murders), and I have a complete set of stat-blocks cards suitable for printing on index cards, including several alternate characters and builds. But I don't have a place to host. Can someone reccomend a good hosting site, and/or offer to host it themselves?

(I have similar for Burnt Offerings, but they still need to be cleaned up before they can be published generally. I'm still working through Hook Mountain Massacre)

I will be starting within the next couple of hours.

Between this thread and one or two others I turned up via google search, I have got a truly astonishing amount of supplementary material. (When we eventually get to the later paths, the PCs will feel positively hard done to!)

Thanks to everyone who has contributed here; this should get the campaign off to a really flying start!

@bmcdaniel. I would be interested in those stat blocks. Maybe put them on Dropbox and share the link.

@trailofdead, stat block cards for Chapter 2 uploaded here:

I will put Chapter 3 up in a few weeks. Chapter 1 is already done but is such a mess I will probably never get it into shape for wide distribution.

*whistle* Very nice job. Love the alternate Ironbriar--I'm going to use it (though my "Ironbriar" is a Gnome instead) and some of your alternate cultists.

I didn't not see any of the creatures from part 7, Shadows of Time.

Even still, this is a great resource. Thank you for your hard work! I look forward to Chapter 3.

Ran my first ever PFRPG session as DM last night (UK) and the group, made mostly of new RPG players, spend the entire session playing the Swallowtail Festival games. They didn't make it to the speeches - and one of them is already stone drunk!

Looks like it could be a very long campaign ... and I can't wait.

Although there's plenty of stuff available in these message board, any hints for a new DM and a new PFRPG group would be welcome!

SoylentG did a very handy compiled quick-reference list of Sandpoint NPCs here: DM resources thread

I've started using it for my campaign, and have added to it, most noticeably by finding suitable portraits for the NPCs not already illustrated by Paizo Illustrated Sandpoint NPC list

For flavour I created a pdf for the prayer book found in the meditation chamber - B11 - in the Catacombs of Wrath in Burnt Offerings. One of my players is an abyssal sorceress so i'm building more back story for her, but you might want to use this with your players too. It's drawn from the Gods and Magic book, with a few edits:

PDF of Lamashtu's Prayer Book

Note: It's written in Abyssal so don't hand it over unless one of your PCs can read that language.

@Yossarian - your Illustrated Sandpoint NPC list is ... just fantastic.

Where did you get the non-paizo illustrations from? And the page backgrounds. And the font. And ....

Basically I'm jealous and want to make on of my own!!! :)

Thanks! The non-paizo illustrations came from deviant art. It took ages to find ones that fit the descriptions well enough and felt close enough to the paizo feel to not break immersion. Plus to not get distracted by the elven maidens in chainmail bikinis...

The page background was from a generic image library (just type 'paper texture' into google images). And the fonts are Warnock and Trajan Pro. You can get free fonts in huge quantities from http://www.dafont.com. It's a great site, especially for broken handwriting fonts, ideal for maps and hand-outs.

So, I came here to ask for potraits on the NPCs that aren't on the cards, and... already posted. Thanks so much, Yossarian.

I love guys. Seriously.

This is quite possibly the best fan-made resource I've come across yet for ROTR. Cheers!

This is awesome, but why are so many of Sandpoint's residents listed as "Varisian"? Shouldn't they be Chelaxian? Only members of the native Varisian people (such as the Mvashtis and Risa) should be listed as such.

Also, Ameiko is listed as Tian/Varisian. My understanding was both her mother and father were Tian (Minkai).

Both Dwarves (the locksmith and the carpenter) appear to have the same picture.

Finally, I'm pretty sure Aldern Foxglove is supposed to be Chaotic Neutral before his conversion to a ghast, not Chaotic Evil. At least that's how he's listed in the Anniversary Edition.

Not trying to take away from something that's really well put together and useful, (and I'll certainly be using for my game) but those things jumped out at me.

That's really useful feedback. I'll take a look and tweak what could do with tweaking. It seems that quite a few of the key NPCs are Varisian and Shoanti, with more of the general population being Chelish. But I'll switch a few round if I can, quite a few are specified by Paizo already. I confess I'm a bit of a Varisian patriot ;)

Thanks for the input, helps make it higher quality!

I have a couple of other sections half-done at the moment. Details of a few colourful locations (with minor NPCs). The Pixies Kitten being a key one, since my party is very attracted to the place. I also have a lot more plot detail worked out with the Scarnetti and also Sczarni, since I found that very light in the Anniversary book. You might notice I added a new NPC galled Gaia Acari. Her role is to tail the players (and get caught doing so), and have them ask themselves 'why would someone (the Sczarni...) be interested in us?'.

Cool. Glad I was helpful. I'll have to check the new version out when I get home this evening.

More stuff with the Scarnettis and the Sczarni is definitely good, as reading the Anniversary Edition made both seem like they should be important, but then nothing was really done with either.

Yossarian - I'm running ROTR via Roll20 at the moment, and I'd kill for a zip file of all those images. Would it be too much to ask you to put something like that together?

Looks good. Very useful.

And I second the request for the images alone. (Also running RotRL in Roll20. :) )

Extended the illustrated NPC list into a guidebook for Sandpoint, adding families & organisations, and some places. Still working on adding more places, especially the Pixie's kitten.

Illustrated Sandpoint Guide v1.2

Other places to add include the Hagfish, the Curious Goblin (proving popular with my players), the Mercantile League and the Rusty Dragon. I'll probably add an encounter table and list of rumours at the end then call it done. Then finish the guide to SW Varisia which is about half done :)

Ok, so that post needs editing, I'll be doing that really soon.

No, I’m afraid you won’t: a post’s content is locked to user-edits after sixty minutes from the original time-stamp. IIRC, it’s a measure to prevent ‘guerrilla trolling’. :(

It’s possible you could persuade one of Paizo’s Mods/Admins/other web-people to do it for you, but I’d hazard they have more pressing concerns. :S

Oh, yes, I knew that. I meant that I was going to respost that with the needed corrections. Thanks!

Meanwhile, please, if you see anything wrong, let me now.
