I know the folks at paizo are awesome for costumer service and answering questions, so i figure this little one will be no problem.
Anyway, before paizo ended up with dragon magazine, WoTC had on their web page an archive of Ray Winniger's dungeoncraft column. I've not found its equal on creating a new campaign world from scratch, and i'm sorry to see it gone. Is it possible to get of all of these articles somehow, aside from dropping a few hundred dollars for each seperate magazine? WoTC was nice enough to post them online for free, and i know paizo has a good track record on this kind of thing, and i'm sure it wouldnt be too much trouble to dig it up.
On top of that, i'm desperate enough to pay for the archive as well, i need it that much. It's just too good not to have as i DM my own little campaign. I'd appreciate any feedback or information that could direct me on how to get ahold of these articles, though. Thanks..

I just remembered a site I've been using for weeks made by someone who took the dungeoncraft articles, but made small adjustments of his own. The main reason it's there is because the dungeoncraft articles are not available online anymore. It's not complete yet, but is still a pretty good site.

There was a thread on the WOTC messageboards in which people posted their email addresses, and others who had the dungeoncraft articles sent them a copy. I was one of the ones to recieve a copy, and if you post your email I can send you one.
I am a huge fan of the dungeoncraft series as well. Would you mind sending me a copy? My address is loquascious_T@hotmail.com

Dungeoncraft was an excellent idea, because rather than just give us a setting and charge us $40 for it, Ray Winniger gave as a how-to on building a campaign, which is something that has always been a chapter at most of the DMG, when in reality it constitutes about 90% of the work and the play. I love the changes that Hasbro and WOTC has brought about with 3rd ed, and with 3.5 as well. What I don't love is the shameless self-promotional money grubbing that they do on both the net and in print. I guarantee that WOTC will never publish a book on, say, home-brewing your own feats. Instead, they will reuse the tag-line : "Contains over 30 new feats" on some less than satisfying HARDCOVER that sets you back $39.95. And they wont tell you that most of those feats are reused themselves from earlier products.
D&D still rules, however. WotC just needs to start telling us how to, rather than selling us more product.

I'll add my name to the pot if it's not too much trouble. Thanks!

I have long used Ray Winnegar's articles as the backbone of my new campaigns. But some time ago, I gave my hardcopy to a young DM, to encourage his efforts. Since then, I've been working on existing campaigns, so haven't worried. Imagine my surprize to discover that not only is the column no longer online, but Dungeon Magazine (Which I regard as both an excellent publication with high-quality stuff, and far too expensive to fit into my budget) is no longer produced by Wizards. So, refusing to give up so easily, I googled dungeoncraft, and after sifting the wheat from the chaff, I end up here. My E-Mail is Vikings_in_California@Rock.com and if someone could send me that archive, I'd appreciate it very much.
Also, is anybody in this forum community interested in a Campaign Exchange?

Since none of the people who originally began this thread seem to be active anymore, and because I was able to find the Dungeoncraft articles elsewhere, I will now be able to send them to anybody who asks. I will check in from time to time, to see if anybody posts. Please post again if you still want the articles.

To Patrick Jacobs and any future askers. I am happy to mail these to you, but if you use a spam blocker to block anything not in your address list, please add me to your list before asking me to send the articles to you, or you may not get them. Mr. Jacobs, let me know if you want a re-send.
No need to resend. I received the email with no problem. Thank you very much. My spam blocker doesn't really block spam. I need to figure out how to turn off the automatic reply message.
thanks,
Patrick Jacobs

Sorry I couldn't give anyone the copy as promised. My downloaded copy od dungeoncraft is in an ancient win 98' computer which has died at least twice. Now it works, but I can't get it to put dungeoncraft onto a floppy.
So in that case, I guess I'm on the other side of the table now. Could I have a copy?

Btw, for those interested, Richard Burlew (author of #324 spellcraft article, third place in world search that Ebberon won, author of the funniest d&d comic in existence {Order of The Stick}) has his own series of world-building articles at:
www.giantitp.com/form
They're out-in style, and aren't quite finished yet, but are otherwise pretty solid.

Hooray for Google! I would appreciate it very much if I could get an email of these articles. My Dungeon mags are currently in a different town and I won't be able to get to them for some time :P I am 'culix at hotmail.com'.
bg2soatob - thanks for the tip on Burlew's articles, I'll give those a look too!
