From what I have seen the USPS international charges are very good, here in England the postal charges are much higher and the service much worse, I have had Global Priority parcels that have been posted in the US on the same day as a first class parcel here in the UK (which should arrive next business day) beat the first class one on many occasions! Though maybe that just shows how bad out mail service here is!

The US Postal Service is working hard to compete with UPS FedEx and e-mail. Maybe the GB postal service needs some competition.

Now I have an avatar that matches my online name. Cool!

The wonderful things that happen when my modem is broken for a month, whee! I'll go look now!

I'm not surprised that it was cancelled. I am a little disappointed. I like the crew, but I didn't like the temporal cold war and the war of the sphere builders went on way too long. I did like the vulcan stuff and I wanted to see more of the discovery of long known races.

As for Voyager, Seven's costume design ruined it for me. She wore flat shoes all of her life, then switched to heels. She should have been crippled! I'm crippled when I wear the things for a day! There were other things that bugged me, but that one destroyed my suspension of disbelief.

She's just not as popular as other Marvel characters, so I think it's not going to end up being a big hit.

I like Nodwick and the other comics in Dragon. More funny would be good, though.

SO, my hubbey has said several times that he's going to get rid of it, but it's still here. Yay. Maybe it won't go away. I totally love the new Battlestar Galactica, and I'm addicted to SciFi channel.

I liked it better than Daredevil.

I liked it.

He took a typically cheesy plotline and did some rather nice work with it.

I'm glad that his movies aren't usually typical horror movies, since I don't particularly care for the genre

I had to spend my birthday money on knitting stuff this year. Maybe soon I can buy t-shirts and cool plush madness.

I really like Hildago and I want to see Girl Next Door. Maybe I will rent that this weekend. This weekend I saw Dodge Ball, which is one of the funniest movies of 2004.
I saw Girl Next Door this weekend and it was a good movie, better then I expected.

I think the reason I liked it more than the usual teen comedy, was because it wasn't about being picked on, or about the popular kids. I think it was rather refreshing in its ideas.

Thanks, though I think I missed it. Last week was knitter's circle.

Maybe I'll rent it sooner rather than later, then.

I love the stuff on Toyvault.com, but last I checked, they don't sell form their site. I've found a couple places that aren't too far away that carry a few of their things, but not much. I'd love to get some more of the Toyvault stuff at some point.

I'll be 32 on the 28th.

That would be nice! An index for them would be sweet too.

Ray Winnenger's Dungeoncraft articles were the best campaign how to that I have ever read and it would be a smart thing if someone were to put those in hardcopy to sell, even if its photocopies or printouts.

I don't pay a lot of attention to reviewers.

Hero was ok and Dodgeball was awesome.

Last weekend we got the Ladykillers, which clever and amusing and Matchstick Men, which was decent. If it wasn't the holiday season, I'd probably have laughed more.

Did anyone see I Robot? The commercials I've seen don't look like the book I read and I know some people didn't go see it because the Asimov approved script by Ellison wasn't used.

I was pretty surprised to see my letter about swimsuit issues months after I wrote it. I had forgotten about even writing it.

I read mostly scifi and fantasy, but I do pick up an occasional mystery. I tend to like the funny ones, though. I like Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody mysteries, starting with Crocodile on the Sandbank. A late 1800s pre-feminist goes traveling, picks up another Englishwoman in Italy and goes on to take charge at a dig site in Egypt that's caught up in a mystery.

I like the Plum novels by Evanovich. Those are really funny.

The Cat Who novels are about a bachelor and 2 siamese cats. Fun, but maybe a bit more on the cute side than I usually get.

The closest to a crime novel I get is the Nevada Barr novels. She writes about a national park ranger/widow who solves murder mysteries as she moves through different parks. She doesn't get quite so fluffy.

This last weekend we rented Hidalgo and the Girl Next Door. They were both really good. I'm not too sure most other women would be comfortable with Girl Next Door, but it was well done.

I caught an episode of this Lost show last night and now I'm lost. There seems to be island stuff and hospital stuff.

Wednesday is West Wing. It's not my usual scifi fare, but it is rather good.

We're going to antenna.

Is Lost yet another incarnation of Land of the Lost, or something new?

After MST3K went to SciFi, they did Return of the Creature. Its from there.

We're getting rid of our $40/month cable next week :(

What's good, other than Enterprise, West Wing and PBS?

I play D&D whenever my husband and I can get someone to play. (We keep correpting innocents, and they keep moving away!) I really miss Shadowrun. I have books for White Wolf's World of Darkness quintology, but I'm not experienced enough to run those. I miss them too. I've played Champions, a long time ago.
I've tried out a few others, over the years. I'm not in a regular gaming group, so I'll probably not be getting into anything new soon.

I RULE at Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, and in other board games, I win the first time I play & never again, or not at all.

I used to play MtG, but I'm not near any gaming group that I am aware of.

I am also still learning to cook with peppers. Wow this last one was hot!

Thanks for posting the site! I love those dungeoncraft articles. They were the best!

I like you. You're funny. :D

I havn't read it yet, but I will soon.

It was just a thought. Sometimes I just throw out ideas to see if they are useful or not.

I'd like to see Dragonmirth again too.

I also miss the little mailbox dragon that used to be at the beginning of the letters.

Kobolds YAY!

I have to say that I look at the ecology articles as a DM, rather than as a player. Maybe they should be dual articles in Dragon and Dungeon. Player knowledge in one, and DM uses in the other. It might not be practical, but I think its an idea with potential.

PARIS HILTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As if the first movie weren't bad enough! Where can I contact the studio? Someone has got to talk these people into some sense. I wouldn't even give the first one over to MST3K if it were still running, its that bad!

It should be like the best samurai and western movies. Maybe even like a good sports movie. (I'll take your word that there is such a thing, I hate sports)

It should be about teamwork and accomplishing goals. It should be a little gritty, a little humourous, and directed by someone that has made good movies before, like Brian Singer, or Peter Jackson. I know nothing about making movies and I could make a better movie than the first D&D movie.

end rant

I would like some variety for the covers. Why not an occasional old style cover amongst the newer stuff? I can't say that I like the cartoonish covers, but I buy it anyway, since I find something useful nearly everytime. I do like the more distinctive name on the cover.

BTW, I work at Borders and our periodicals guy is a pretty bright guy. ;)

Oh well. I did like those articles.

Yay! I shoulda checked your site more often.
