I would love some feats like...
A extra skill point feat like toughness but for an extra skill point per level instead of HP.
I would like a greater/improved toughness that added more HP and stacked with toughness.
Some bloodline feats that granted abilities based on creature types such as dragons, fey, celestials, fiends, aberrations, etc. It could grant abilities like low-light vision, darkvision, energy resistance, DR2/cold iron, etc. Make them a chain of feats that anyone can get.
I would like to see more racial feats such improved energy resistance for any race with energy resistance. An energy immunity feat for ifrit, oread, sylph, and undine. Feats for dhampir that grant bat form, wolf form, gaseous form, DR2/silver, fast healing 1, spiderclimb, etc. A telepathy feat for any race with limited telepathy.
Dragon78 |
I would love a feat that lets you add a monk's Wis mod(or at least half of it) in addition to his Str mod to damage to his unarmed strike.
A feat that lets you add Dex mod to damage instead of Str for any finesse based weapon.
A feat(or feat chain) that grants an enhancement bonuses to unarmed strike and/or natural attacks.
A feat to use Str instead of Con for fortitude saves and one to use Int instead of Dex for reflex saves.
A feat that improves lowlight vision(x4 instead of x2 in lowlight conditions) and one that improves darkvision(+30ft range)
Dragon78 |
A feat that increases racial bonuses to skills.
More feats that grant spell like abilities and that any race could get them.
A feat or chain of feats that grant a secret identity.
A feat that grants you racial trait/ability from another race.
A feat that gives you extra use of a limited use racial ability such as cat's luck for catfolk.
Third Mind |
I'd enjoy seeing feats (perhaps a feat tree) of body slams that deal solid damage, and debilitating effects, initiated from a successful grapple, so I can better make a pro-wreslter or judo user. Something better than ki throw, and available to all classes.
Would love to see some feats that further expand on the use of improvised weapons in fun ways.
Murdock Mudeater |
I'd also like to see that improvised battering ram get some love. It is basically rules to use a large great club or tree as a ram with a 5-man team. Should be a feat for confering proficiency to a group with a profession soldier requirement. Something to allow even in games that don't use other siege weapons.
Murdock Mudeater |
A feat for wielding undersized one-handed melee weapons as light weapons for the purposes of weapon finesse and to allow them to be thrown as non-improvised weapons if they normally lack a range increment (though no loss to the undersized penalty).
Would be especially nice for GM, as Large monsters with undersized weapons make for better loot for the PCs.
Frogsplosion |

Int to Atk & Damage with finesse weapons feat in the same vein as errata'd focused shot
Greater Guided Hand for Wis to Damage.

Cha to Atk & Damage Guided Hand style feats, maybe specifically for paladins
Roll Point Blank & Precise Shot into one feat

A extra skill point feat like toughness but for an extra skill point per level instead of HP.
Most definitely. There are a lot of skill-starved characters who would love such a feat.
A feat that lets you add Dex mod to damage instead of Str for any finesse based weapon.
There are lots of ways to implement this, but a general dex-to-damage feat is long overdue.
Metamagic feats to reduce spell effiency, and subsequently, lower the spell slot required to cast (or otherwise make them cheaper to cast).
It'd have to be written with care as metamagic reduction can easily be gamebreaking, but if it was carefully restricted to avoid balance issues while making less-used metamagic more viable this would be awesome.
That covers a lot of the ones I'd like to see, but here are a couple more:
* Magical Knack in feat form. When I'm putting "additional traits" on NPC's because a specific trait is a vital component of their build, it's a strong indicator that trait should have been a feat in the first place.
* Some more feats to help out under-appreciated weapons. We currently have way too many classes that overwhelmingly value critical threat range (*cough*Magus*cough*Fighter*cough*) and that's making a lot of iconic weapons like the longsword significantly less valuable. Lots of ways to do this, but something would be very nice, especially aimed at classes that traditionally use very specific weapons.

do people ask for Str to AC?
You can easily get high AC without any dexterity at all, and a melee character can function in a pinch with passable AC anyways. Getting high melee damage without a hefty strength investment is very difficult without dex-to-damage, and a melee character with poor damage output is going to struggle to be relevant to the party.
Secret Wizard |
My wishlist:
Trained Defense (Combat)
Prerequisites: Dodge, BAB +3
Benefits: When fighting defensively, you only take a -2 penalty to attacks. When taking the total defense action, you may take attacks of opportunity.
Brawler Tactics (Combat)
Prerequisites: STR 15
Benefits: This feat functions as the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, but you may only obtain its benefits while using weapons of the close fighter weapon group.
Special: You may use your STR score instead of your DEX score to qualify for feats with Two-Weapon Fighting as one of the prerequisites.
Ki Strikes (Combat)
Prerequisites: Style Strike class feature
Benefits: You may perform Style Strikes with weapons with the ki focus enhancements as though they were unarmed strikes of each type.

Now that I think about it you don't need a feat for extra elemental defense. They just need to create alternate elemental defenses for each element so you can get that wild talent to take extra defenses for a single element like you can for multiple elements.
A feat to use your intelligence modifier as precision damage would be interesting.
A feat that lets spellcasters add their casting stat mod as extra force damage with melee weapons would be awesome.
I would still like a feat that grants anyone energy resistance 5 to one energy type of their choice that is a constant bonus, not x/day or limited duration thing.
Grey Mage |
"Unempower"
Feat. Metamagic. Prerequisite: Caster lvl 5th.
When preparing a spell you may prepare it as an Unempowered version of that same spell, reducing its Spell Level by 2. If you do so halve your caster level for all effects, including range, duration, damage etc. You may not prepare a spell in this fashion if you could not cast the spell at its normal Spell Level. An Unempowered spell may not have other metamagic feats added to it, with the exception of silent spell, still spell, or quicken spell. You cannot reduce a spells level below 1 with Unempower.
Dasrak |
Many spells are not overly dependent on caster level, and halved ranged/duration isn't a severe penalty to them. This metamagic option would be rather broken with such spells. Spells that offer a new save every round are a good example, since they will almost never last their maximum duration against most enemies anyways. A lot of battlefield control spells with minute/level duration would also be unimpeded by this, since they often last longer than you need anyways. Just way too many situations where you're getting a big discount for an irrelevant downside.
I think everyone has thought of an inverse metamagic option at some point, but it's pretty broken unless it's given a draconian downside, and the moment someone finds a way around that downside it becomes insanely problematic. Probably for the best that it doesn't exist.
Subao Shadowmane |
More climb and jump-related feats would be awesome. Probably, a GOOD version of branch pounce(that doesn't make you prone if you miss leaping attack), a feat that lets you jump farther when you charge, or, maybe, even style: 1st feat is jump distance/height, second one is damage increase, third one is some kind of unique utility like making enemy flat-footed for this charge attack or giving ability to make intimidate check as part of this charge aka SCREAMING LEAP.
Skarm |
A feat to add Dex damage with two-weapon fighting.
A Kineticist feat to reduce burn for Utility Wild Talents.
A feat that allows to grant Cha or Dex damage to the Mystic Bolt of the Warlock Vigilante archetype.
A feat that allows to change the Mystic Bolt of the Warlock Vigilante archetype to act as if it was a kinetic blast (of Kineticist), while retaining its benefits.
More feats that allow to benefit from class abilities as if your character was of higher level (for multiclassing), especially for the Kineticist.
A feat that grants you the kinetic blast of the kineticist even if you are not a kineticist.
A feat that grants you a "wildcard" feat like Bar Room Brawler, but of other type.
A feat that allows you to split the duration of Bar Room Brawler into 1 minute segments.
A feat that allows you to expand the duration of Bar Room Brawler.
A feat that grants you flemental focus of the kineticist even if you are not a kineticist.
A feat that allows you to temporarily duplicate a class feature of another class (like Bar Room Brawler for classes).
A feat that allows you to gain extra alternate favoured options.

A feat that allows you to gain higher level ki points for Unchained Monk and QuingGong Monk.
