Short But Sweet!

With ToyFair behind us and the hobby game industry's annual GAMA Trade Show only about a week away, things here at Preview Central are busier than a four-armed girallon in a handshaking contest. Expect a few more trade show photos to leak at GAMA, but until then, I wanted to show off a digital sculpt of two figures I'm very excited for in June's Dungeons Deep set.

Up first is the Mad Prophet, a deranged gnome culled from the pages of the NPC Codex. This maniac has my favorite eyes in the set since the Leaping Boggard in The Lost Coast and I think he doubles easily for a fanatical gnome spellcaster player character (which is to say, "a" gnome spellcaster PC). The Mad Prophet is a Small, uncommon figure.

Speaking of short player character minis, here we have the Sundering Axe, one of my favorite female dwarf images in the NPC Codex. The Sundering Axe is just as happy to flatten you with her hammer than to cleave you with her axe. Take your pick, orcs! The Sundering Axe is a Medium, uncommon figure.

That's it for this week! I've got to ration these guys out, as it's a long time until June!

See you next week when I'll reveal more new figures from the Dungeons Deep set!

"...busier than a four-armed girallon in a handshaking contest"

Best. Line. Ever.

Also, love the gnome!

That gnome is amazing!

That gnome is crazy scary! He kind of reminds me of Marty Feldman.

Those are both home runs, imho. LOVE the gnome. My next character may be a gnome caster JUST so I can have an excuse to use that mini. And I always am happy to see new female dwarves! She's missing her beard, though.

Gnome-Mad!! Yes another gnome. And a female Dwarf!! This set is looking better and better (and it was already looking pretty darn good!)

The mad prophet looks great. He has recurring nemesis written all over him. And the dwarf female is sweet. Always happy to see both sexes expanded some in the more "common" player races. This sets shaping up to be one of the best.

The link for the dwarf girl does not work...

Not a big fan of non-monster minis (excluding the NPCs from RotR from Lost Coast) or NPC Codex adaptions (so far) - also does Harsk know his axe has been stolen?

You can use this link until they fix it. One too many 0's in the date.

Amazing work on both. The gnome's eyes really stand out and make him creepily awesome. Getting more female miniatures that aren't cheesecake is always a step in the right direction, at least in my opinion. Great minis!

Thank you Kor!

I noticed one new error in your Pathfinder Minis "Dungeons Deep" page - the Bone Golem should be large. ;-)
Also i think the Sarcophagus is medium - but i don´t know that - it could count as large because it has 3 pieces.
Tanks again for your great work!

Well, it seem like every set has at least one. That one mini that you really don't like. Mr. Bugeyes the that mini for me. It's probably going to look artistically great, I just don't like it. I like the rest of the minis in this set, especially the dwarves and the dungeon dressings.

Erik,
Are there going to be any iconic figures (possibly alternate poses) in this set or are all the iconics not relegated to the Iconic Sets?

Yay for the female dwarf! I like that interpretation of the art from the NPC Codex. Plus female minis of the non-human races are great.

Another white gnome? C'mon, you can make gnomes more diverse you know?

Love the female dwarf idea as it is something which is seriously lacking in pre-painted minis. However, to be fair it was tough recognizing her as a female! The bug-eyed gnome is fantastic! Very nice.

That's a female? So glad I'm not a dwarf.

too be honest, I like that she is not in a dress or even worse, chainlink bra and panties. I like that she looks like she could hold her own in a fight. If the mini is even close to this digital sculpt, she will be one of my favorites in the set.

I absolutely love that Dwarf. I am already planning to snip the hammer off one copy and the axe off another so that I'll have three variants without even having to bust out my paints.
