PaizoCon!!!
I hope you all are as excited as we are. This year we have tried to make sure that we have an FAQ for PaizoCon launched at the same time as the announcement. You can check it out here. As we know more information we will update the FAQ.

Sebastian wrote:Second sentence: "2012’s event will take place on July 6–8 at the Marriot Redmond Town Center hotel in Redmond, Washington. " So no, not at the same place. :DWoot! Let no one schedule their wedding this weekend!!!
Is this the same venue as prior years?
I saw the sentence, but couldn't remember if it was the same place! Thanks Liz.

THIS. IS. AWESOME.
Love the July dates.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the new location. Redmond Town Center is the absolute BEST location to do this. Great restaurants. A game store.
We are even close to the Malt and Vine for Friday night!! W00t!
As the location has moved, we will need to reevaluate the Thursday night Meet and Eat event, as well!
Well done, Paizo....WELL DONE.

Previously we were at the Coast Hotel in Bellevue. While a nice location, we needed something a little bigger. We are very excited about the Marriott Redmond Town Center. I think you folks are going to like it, too. Personally I think the area is much more walkable (more food and stuff within walking distance).

I am super super stoked! This'll be my first 'con ever, so break out the cheap hooch!

Ya'll must have read my mind in changing the dates this year. I was not looking forward to bringing a 2-month old along again. A 3-month old is way easier ;-). It seems the family tradition of each new child going to PaizoCon before his/her first birthday shall continue...
Congratulations on rolling up a new little bundle of joy!

So it's the same weekend as Westercon 65? Fortunately, that's also in Seattle next year, so it will be possible to do both with a little park-hopper madness.

Hotel employee says they have no event scheduled for those days and hence no special room rate...I'll give them a bit to straighten it out and try again. Whee!
Same thing they told me -- a little over an hour later and they still don't have anything.
Oh well, will try again later.

The part I'm most looking forward to is that we'll get to share some details about that awesome thing that I can't even tell you about yet!
D'aww, my public execution, Vic? You can tell the folks all about it. I'm happy to return the spirit of Roman blood sport to the greater Seattle area.

Book'em, Dan-o! I'm so there! Again!
Can't wait to check out the new location...
Next up: Hotel reservations, airline reservations, event planning, game planning, and...oh, yes...clearing all that with my wife. :-D
I'm pretty sure somebody told me they heard that she said it was ok.

Providing I'll get a visa, that is.
If I remember, you're rather tall, so some people (not me) would need an apple crate to reach. ;P
Aside from Kickstartering it, you could also apply for the Trans-Atlantic Fan Fund if you'd like to do a few more conventions while you're at it.

Yeah, I'll bring the crate with me. TOZ will gladly assist if necessary.
I have a few Polish conventions up ahead, maybe I can LARP a beggar there.

Does this mean a change in venue for the Meet & Eat as well?
Also: Grar! One week earlier and I could celebrate my b-day at the Con!

Quite likely....the Crab Pot has been awesome these past 3 years. But, it was a short distance away from the Coast Hotel, so it really worked out well. That'd be quite a bit more distance from Redmond, though.
I live in Redmond, so I'm pretty familiar with the area, but the trick is going to be finding a place that can handle 100+ people. Haiku is a new Asian seafood buffet that has opened in the town center, and it is the exact same location where we held the very 1st meet and eat event (with a whole 24 people). So, that'd be a really cool place, but it would be limited to 60 people MAX for their party room AND it might be pricey for some ($25).
My current thoughts are that we might stage several Meet and Eats in the Town Center. Lots of restaurant options....Claim Jumper, Desert Fire, Haiku, Golden Chopsticks, Matts' Rotisserie & Oyster Lounge, Spazzo Italian Grill & Wine Bar, Thai Ginger....well, heck! Check out the options!!
I'm not sure what the plan will be, but we will try to arrange something for that Thursday night!
