November is hell-month on the wallet thanks to all those video games. But this year I'm employeed a bit differently than before (designer for an actual video game firm rather than at a university) so I might actually be able to write some of those video game expenses off this time. Yay!

Speaking of screaming like a little girl, nothing like unexpected scratching sounds coming from above you in the middle of the night to freak you out a bit.
Finally got a fussy and teething little one back to sleep at almost 3 in the damn morning and there is something in the damn attic. We've had squirrels up there before but it sounds bigger than that now. Either there is a really big ass squirrel up there or a raccoon found it's way in. Probably wants to hibernate up there for the winter or something. :(

Also, depending on your parenting style...
...you could dip your finger in 1 part whiskey 2 parts water and rub it on the baby's gums. It won't intoxicate them or anything and it numbs the pain a bit. Good for when everyone needs to sleep.
Mom was out of whiskey, so she made me a white Russian in my bottle.
