You seem to like witty things yes? I've been reading a series by Gail Carriger. First book is called Soulless.
It's about a steampunk England where Queen Victoria has a department of supernatural events. There's a werewolf pack leader who runs the department, a ton of vampires, and they use ghosts as spies.
Main character is a lady named Alexia Tarabotti who is a preternatureal, a soulless. Because she has no soul anything she touches loses their supernatural ability.
Then to make me seem manlier, I'll throw out a song of fire and ice series.
Sounds interesting. I'll have to check for it on Amazon. Our book stores around here suck.
I've been reading the song of fire and ice series since the second book first came out and have cursed him numerous times every time one of his book publishing gets delayed.

The way I dress doesn't scream rugged man either so I really don't mind LOL. But the books are super witty and a ton of thinly veiled jokes. Plus she beats vampires and werewolves with a parasol. I mean, come on, a PARASOL.

You hit the blue star by your portrait then you can choose spells and abilities. Also your life and mana bars automaticlaly refill themselves.
You have spheres you can distribute in your sphere grid, and don't forget to equip materia. Oh, and you can switch classes using The Crystarium too.

I gave up on MMORPG'S. I get addicted too easily and I have to much to do.
DSP, I spent all my skill points (4) on languages. I'd like to learn the 4 elemental languages so my summoning can be more utilitarian. For sake of story continuity I'd like to say that Cecil has been studying a book of languages at night and it just clicked. That skill is not "true to life," but neither are fireballs, etc. ;-)
