Yes.
Thought so from previous comments. I tend to be quite curious by nature and ask lots of questions, so feel free to tell me if I'm ever being too nosey.
Also, I've been watching a lot of scary movies lately and have decided that clowns and dummies are equally creepy.

I thought I had forgotten something. We never finished splitting the loot. This is what we had left.
Cold Iron Arrows (50)
Cold Iron Dagger,
Silver Arrows (50)
Oil of Invisibility
Potion of Barkskin +2 (2)
Potion of Blur
Potion of Protection From Arrows 10/magic,
Wand of Cure Light Wounds
I choose Oil of Invisiblity for my rd 3
Kayla choose the wand (I think)
Brynn asked for the arrows as I think he's the only one that uses them.
Everyone else go.
Kayla Adrianas |
Brynn, I'd rather have once of those for all the housework I need to do. So much cleaning to do before the in-laws arrive next week.
Cecil, sure, I'll take the wand.
DSP, too bad she doesn't have more time to play with you. Jason and I play in a couple of other games together.

I feel like I need another check in.
Is everyone still having fun? Is there anything I can do better/different?
More specifically to our current adventure, do you like the travel sequences with potential encounters and stuff, or do you wish I'd just hand-wave you to your destination?
I know I was moving to fast before, but have I swung too far the other way?
Eviscerate or validate me please!?
...lol...I'm laughing at the inevitable jokes...

I'm having fun. I do feet a bit like I'm missing information, but that's fine if it's for a dramatic reveal later. I'm looking forward to getting to the battle front.
GM DSP |
What information do you think you are missing? I may be holding back info intenionally, but it's just as likely that I thought I explained something or I thought it was obvious because I wrote the adventure.
It's ok for you to ask me that kind of stuff here. If I don't want to tell, I won't. But if I thought I had explained, but didn't: that's bad.
-Thanks Cecil.

The political stuff with the prince. I feel like its a plot point and we're supposed to do something, but I'm not sure.

He's one of your main quest givers right now. You are more than welcome to sniff around for more clues. There is some plot stuff there, and I don't really intend for you to find it RIGHT NOW, but if you really want to push it, you can. I don't want you guys to feel like areas are blocked off. You can try anything you can think of.
As to the political crap, that is pretty extensive. Most Royal families are VERY secretive, scheming, ambitious, etc., etc. ALL of the political nonsense in Pollexia could take up its own campaign.
If there are specific questions you want answered. Please ask them out of character here, and, if I can, I'll tell you the answer or nudge you toward it.
For now, you are the King's Dragoons temporarily stripped of official title, but there is a job to be done and you've been asked to do it. You can refuse, or delay.
I try to work consequences to actions by thinking about what would actually happen if the events were real.

I thought that might be the case. Political campaigns tend to be a bit much. I like the mission based stuff I just wasn't sure if I was supposed to get political.
Brynn Halistack |
Arson tends to have that affect.
This made me lol for about a minute.
On topic, though, I'd say for my character, I have all the political intrigue I need to keep toughing it out. "Just taking orders" to an extent, but also not blindly following. Definitely appreciating the ability to adapt to weird requests and us snagging a wish ring we may not normally have come across.
I'd say it's going really well about now and definitely not too slow. Well not for me, only posting on average twice a day :P
Brynn Halistack |
Oh, and hand-wave travel is alright, but I'd guess there might be plot devices within random encounters you could use, too. You know I've never GM'd and that might be too specific of a (not suggestion, what's the word?), but like I said, just saying that after two weeks' travel we arrive works well, too.
Shinami Genbu |
Osslend: You are solely lacking in gear. To the point, that you might die on this trip if people don't help you. Please update your character sheet.
Shinami: You know that your Brass Knuckles deal you unarmed strike damage as a monk right? You probably do, but Hero Lab doesn't account for it.
Yep, one I do the rolls I just do d6 instead of d3. Good looking out!

Ok, bought the Fire Wall Scroll and more rations for the trip. Also switched some spells around, people can feel free to offer opinions on my choices.
