Seeing Con about to torch the gas room, Juno hurries on her way out of the building, choosing to go past the dolls so someone else can torch them on the way out.

Starting to search her pack for something to help break the wall, Badriyah notices the halfing getting ready to light a flame. As her eyes go wide, she quickly stuffs her gear back in the pack and she dashes out of the room hoping to beat the potential explosion.

Time for questions like these is over. Instead, it's time to LEG IT!

Consequences lights a tindertwig and lobs it into the room. The heavy gas on the floor ignites and illuminates the area with bright, blue flame. Quiet at first, the flame quickly crawls towards the wall with the carvings, and a pocket of gas explodes and sends shockwaves through the entire hideout as the door to the meditation chamber breaks off its hinges and slams against the western wall. Luckily, the explosion does not extend through the carved wall and deeper into the ground.

Small pieces of rock fall from the ceiling as you run to safety of the Riddleport streets, if there is such a thing. The small opening you made above the stairs to the street becomes signifficantly larger as the explosion shakes complex, and the area becomes a lot more dusty than you remember from a few minutes ago.

As you emerge fro the hole on the street, you can see dust falling off several buildings around you, and several roof tiles lie broken on the ground near the building walls.

Small pockets of vapour appear soon afterwards and creep through the street for a few short moments. They are dispersed by wind soon afterwards.

Setare pants after arriving on the street and looks at her comrades and especially the halfling.

It almost seems as if anger as strong as in her focused state of mind in battle is building up. Her words are now clear and fluent.

”This was an unbelievably violent act and could have endangered a lot of people whom you do not know and whose fate is completely uncertain! I hope that you feel the weight of your actions and think about the consequences for your life and your afterlife! I sincerely hope that you will have a moment of truth that shows you the path to a righteous life.“ Setare says and starts walking away to get out of the city as fast as possible and return to the Venture Captain.

Juno glares at Con. "Reckless much?" Despite her words, she's clearly enjoyed herself.

A moment later she shakes her head, catches her breath, and then just keeps running. She'll need all the head start she can get to make it out of Riddleport before the cult catches her.

Rubbing dust from her face and trying to catch her breath after the dash from the explosion, Badriyah simply glares at the halfling, letting the words of the others speak for her. With the job done, she makes her way to the port being sure to toss anything that could link her with the Aspis into the gutters along the way.

These people are evil cultists to a goddess that would have them enslave people or worse. I would say this was justified, Not often you get ot feel morally righteous after a thfinder mission. The bellflowers would be proud of us.

The trip back to Magnimar is a relaxing one. After being reminded to leave the ship's cat alone, you are taken to your bunks to get some rest. You have a few days on the ship to recall the events of the past few days, and sort the shaken pile memories into a neat collection.

The uneventful trip, besides the occasional ship headed in the opposite direction, proves to be quite calming, especially under the Varisian sun. But all good things come to an end, and so does this. Once you arrive into the busy, cosmopolitan Magnimar, you head straight for the Heidmarch manor to meet your Venture Captain. Within a few shourt minutes, you find yourselves in one of the manor's gathering rooms, with Sheila Heidmarch sitting across the table, sipping on tea.

"So... I've heard you had quite the explosive time. That was probably a bit of an overkill.", she sets down her cup, and looks all of you over as if expecting a response.

"I ... I am so sorry ... we ... " and then she looks at Consequences and continues "... were not well aligned and ... and then everything happened so fast. There was gas lea ... leaking. Do ... do you know if many people were hurt?!?"


Heidmarch sighs. "To behonest, less dead than expected. Our informant told me that most got out, even if badly bruised. Three people are still missing. Or were by the time they sent their message, anyway."

She stands up, and claps her hands once. "In any case - it worked as intended. I don't think the Lyssalans will be working with the consortium any time soon. Not in Riddleport, at least. So - Good job, I suppose?"

Setara smiles after hearing that only few were injured during the explosion.

Then she looks at her team mates and her smile gets bigger.

"I ... I learned a lot Lady Heidmarch. Tha ... thank you for the oppo ... opportunity to participate with such professionals! They ... they acted so well ... some ... sometimes I could not be ... believe the things they did. YOu ... you selected a great team of actors!" Setare says shyly.


Heidmarch sighs.

"To be honest, I am happy that less Lyssalans are dead than expected. Our informant told me that all got out, even if badly poisoned by the gas and hallucinating. Three people are still missing. Or were by the time they sent their message, anyway."

She stands up, and claps her hands once.

"In any case - it worked as intended. I don't think the Lyssalans will be working with the consortium any time soon. Not in Riddleport, at least. So - Good job!"
