The golem collapses back into the cellar, chipping the mortar from the stairs on the way, and ending up in a heap of stone limbs. The street becomes quiet, and the only thing heard is the seagulls in the distance, and waves rolling in the river. The silence is broken by sounds of explosions from below.

Juno pulls out her charcoal and takes the time to write on the ground around the secret hatch. She draws a few giant arrows pointing at it and writes the words: "PSYCHO CULTISTS LIVE HERE!" "LISSALA SUCKS!" and "THESE FOOLS ARE RICH!"

Content, she slips the charcoal back into her pocket, picks up her axe, and follows the others back inside the complex.

Eastern Room

This room contains several mats and low beds. The walls of this room are deeply carved with jagged runic symbols. A small table sports a large brick of burning incense, but the incense’s heavy scent does not quite disguise an underlying sharp smell.

Perception 18:
While nobody is here at the moment, this is clearly a prayer chamber. Looking around, you find a set of forgotten rune-decorated prayer beads underneath one of the mats.

Kn Nature or Kn Engineering 15:
The underlying smell in the room is clearly carbauxine. It is probably leaking through the carvings in the walls.

(Carbauxine is a colorless gas that is a byproduct of heavy carbon deposits. It heavier than air and highly flammable, and will violently combust if exposed to an open flame. Additionally, long term exposure has poisonous effects.)

Kn Local or Kn Dungeoneering 18:
Long-ago, dwarves learned how to harvest carbauxine gas safely, using it to create exceedingly hot flames that could be used for smelting. Based on what you know on the subject, one of these forges is dangerously close to the safehouse. Could the underlying smell be carbauxine?

"Nobody light a torch or strike a flame." She says in a muffled voice. "There's carbauxine in the room. Stuff is highly flammable and explosive, it's also poisonous, but usually that's less of an issue once you've been roasted."

Her eyes focus elsewhere for a few seconds as she thinks, "Might be useful if on our way out of this place we want to add some fire and explosiveness to our departure."

A heavy iron pipe runs the length of the south wall of this room at about four feet from the ground, disappearing into the eastern and western walls. A pungent smell issues from an alcove to the east.

Not sure about rapiers being used to make cracks in rocks, to be honest. Maybe a large hammer instead? Or a similar tool.
