Bummer. Oh well, never hurts to ask. :)

Ok, crunch is updated, the fluff will be a work in progress as Isabel and I collaborate. Feel free to give it a review.

I still need 1 trait, but had a question...is the Leadership feat going to be allowed? Sorry if you already answered, hard to review the full thread with a crying baby to watch ;-P.

My question seems to have been over looked.

Do you mind if we re-flavor the campaign traits as long as mechanically they are the same?

Definitely interested in this. Will put together a Dwarven exile Druid who has been using his talents to help a small human community on the border between Brevoy and the Stolen Lands. He would join the expedition in an effort to not only reduce the bandit attacks in south Rostland, but also to ensure that the wilds of the Greenbelt are minimally impacted by exploration and colonization efforts.

Dotting for interest, I'll be putting in a zen archer concept I've wanted to play for a while but never had the chance.

Here is the Shaezon rebuild. I believe i've hit all the points, but if not please let me know and I'll make adjustments.

Also, just for fun He is now a She.

BTW I'm in a couple games with Talomyr, he's a fantastic player, very reliable and good with the RP.

Quinn's eidolon is complicated... being of an odd and questionable birth - his eidolon is actually something
of a 1/2 brother from another plane - and is the reason behind his strong link to this summon.
Isthasy is draconic for Brother.

Background:
BACKSTORY
His Birth
"... We shall name him Dragon Eyes!"
Quinneons' father looked deeply into the childs eyes, with a quiver in his voice of nervousness, and spoke. "Quinneon Darastrix-Saurivic (Draconic for Dragon Eyes)... Quinn with the Dragon Eyes. he is our first and he shall be our last."
His Childhood
Through Gozrah - Quinn has an unmistakable link to nature and to dragons. The marking at his birth was only identifiable by his draconic eyes, but as he grew other features came to play, but far more subtle. However, these feature become more distinguished as he gets older.
His family lived outside of cities and towns, frequently staying in Brunderton, providing skins and furs for trade as well as being utilized as scouts for military companies fighting the good fight against invaders. He raised along the lake on the South end of the Gronzi Forest (West of the Valley of Fire). His parents were both killed in a expedition, as guides to a group fighting against the undead in the Valley of Fire. He was injured badly during the attack, but a creature pulled him from danger and hid him from the storm of battle. That creature was Isthasy {Eidolon}.
His Journey's Start
Still a young lad, Quinn was familiar with the forest and nature, with the aid of his new companion - was able to survive quite well of the land. It was when he came upon the scene of battle that memories of his parents passing, and the carnage left behind - that he took to the scene to locate survivors and see about getting them aid.
This became something of a job for the youngster - he would find these battlegrounds and lend what aid he could relocated the injured found to Brunderton. As he grew older he looked to increase in the efforts he could provide. Isthasy, his once little whelpling of a companion has grown in size to become viable as a mount, well - a mount for a halfling anyways. He has also grown, not a great deal in size, but in experience and power. The two set out to see about doing a greater good.

His Last Escapade
Quinn and Isthy set out to Restov, to answer a call to aid in the exploration of the Stolen Lands to the SW of Brevoy. He has found that an Inn/Tavern is often as good a place as any to come across travelers and like minded people. He settles himself into a chair by the hearth, with Isthasy coiled up near his feet like a big cat, and he sips on mead while keeping an ear open to conversations.

* NOTE: I will be on vacation form Sept. 13th to the 24th - we will be spending most of the days riding through Tennessee - and not be on-line. After that I am a work from home guy easily capable of posting daily. IF ALLOWED I would take Drawback - Attachment to Eidolon (it makes sense with his background, but if not allowed I get it).

I'd just like to point out--Mach's more of a skill-based character than an arcane specialist.

Kingmaker recruitments always get a lot of interest. I'm dotting in as well. Not sure what I'll be submitting yet, but I'll come up with something. I have some concepts to try.

Interesting. Two characters from the same family, but with entirely different perspectives...

Yeah, I noticed that too! Though I guess even identical twins could become polar opposites if the environment they grew up in was so different.

Talomyr checking in with the final version of my submission, Freya Velson. She's kind of a mutt, but for categorization purposes I suppose it is best right now to put her with the Arcane types.

I am. I thought i rewrote it all to the adventure. I must have missed a line.

I guess I should have expected such a good response, Kingmaker does seem to be a very popular AP to play. It's always flooded with applicants.

There are so many good characters I'm having a hard time picking only six. In fact I'm seriously considering running two tables with the selection I've received.

It could be very interesting to run two groups at the same time and see how they handle the challenges differently.

The Stalwart defenders:
Aest. - Serafina 'Switch' Koenig. - Female Human Ranger.
Helikon. - Titian Stagson. - Male Human Cavalier (Beastrider).
Jovich. - Lord Christian D'Elgante. - Male Human Cavalier (Daring Champion).
Jereru. - Tomas Dusek. - Male Human Swashbuckler.
Seth86. - Zartana. - Female Tiefling Ranger (ilsurian archer).
theasl. - Floria Lebeda. - Female Human Ranger.
Tassadan. - Cander Vitritch. Male Human Monk (Sohei).
Adderyn. - Teryll Mireynason. Male Half-elf Bloodrager (Black blooded).
Xyen. - Roksana 'Rok' Jedynak. - Female Half-orc Cavalier

The Divinely inspired:
Peet. - Elena Voritzova. - Female Changling Cleric (Erastil)
Jesse Heinig. - Lisl Morozov. - Female Human CLeric (Adabar)

The Subtle wits and blades:
the_Infidel. - Jory Haltine. Male Halfing Bard (Detective).
vayelan. - Colwin the Toad. - Male Human Rogue (Scout).
Kevin O'Rourke 440. - Richard Harmon. - Male Human Vigilante (Dragonscale loyalist).
Amergin the Wise. - Eliran Lebeda. - Male Human Bard (Courtier).
Thron. - Darian Aulamaxa. - Male Human Bard (Arcane Duelist).

The Power of mind and blood:
Andostre. - Niadroub Kliip. - Male Human Arcanist.
Dragoncat. - Mach Snow. - Male Tiefling Mesmerist.
Nikolaus de'Shade. - Isabel Rhelian. - Female Aasimar Mesmerist.
WesF. - Shaezon Silverfall. - Female Elf Wizard (Conjurer).
Kev_1270. - Quineon 'Quinn' Burrfoot. - Male Halfling Summoner (Unchained)
Talomyr - Freya Velson. - Human Female Witch (Elements)

Once again, if I've missed you it's due to so many applicants, let me know.

@Darian Aulamaxa. Yes the Leadership feat will be allowed. I will need to go over any cohorts with you before allowing them though.

Are you still planning on waiting until the 17th before closing Recruitment?

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Important announcement.

Due to overwhelming demand the closing date will be moving to 10/09/17. That is this Sunday evening. I have received so many good responses that drawing it out any longer is pointless.

Anyone who has expressed interest you still have a couple of days, sorry for the rush but it's getting hard enough to pick as it is now.

Note, I'm on GMT +12 so take that into account for your application.

Edit: Ninja'd by Andostre. :)

Revised with background, personality, and appearance now listed in the profile. Onward!

I'd have to give her stats and gear the once-over to make sure she fits the rules, but how's this look? Kingmaker's one campaign I feel like an Aldori Swordlord would fit into (or at least an aspiring Swordlord).

EDIT: To save you having to check her profile for it - Xan's an Angel-Blooded Aasimar Fighter (Aldori Swordlord) originally from Mendev who decided to give a royal "up yours" to everyone who thought that just because she was born an aasimar that it meant she would join a religious order.

Certainly could be interesting. Although with how I've written Xan's family, Zartana would not have had a fun time. Would at least give a reason for them to be close - Xan's basically maintained an attitude throughout her life that her celestial blood doesn't mean a damn thing about her and her being so vocal about it might've been what kept Zartana from really going off the deep end and becoming "Stereotypical Tiefling #42,783". :P

Indeed yes. I'm happy with that =^^=

Alright, I think Darian is now officially done and ready for review.

Seth86 wrote:

Twins would certainly make things interesting. Easy enough to slot her into Xan's backstory too.

Speaking of; one of the things in the first post of this thread mentioned writing a paragraph or two telling the GM about the character. Have I just missed what you wrote for your character or is it not in this thread?

Also, hi Valeria. :)

Chazaq is a large, tempermental man, who either has an arrogant sneer, an irritated scowl, or bored indifference on his face at all times. With tanned skin and shaggy dark hair, he manages to have one feature even more interesting than his size; his eyes are a burning red-gold, with slitted pupils, and a glare from him is usually more than enough to convince others to give him his way.

Born and raised in New Stetven, he spent the majority of his youth working construction, his size and strength even from an early age giving him greater opportunity than many others his age. His mother was a simple tavern wench, who also doubled as a whore when money was tight. As time passed, and his mother became too old for whoring when money was tight, he moved on to working as a bouncer at higher end establishments, his size and imposing demeanor ensuring that he was always well tipped (or bribed, as the case may be).

10 years ago, when the entirety of House Rogarvia disappeared, his mother showed him a ring with the Rogarvian crest on it, and explained in hushed whispers that his father was a member of that House who "frequented" her when she was younger. Despite such slim evidence, the thought that he might be noble went straight to his head, and he immediately convinced himself that it was he who deserved to sit on the throne.

Nobles are not as easy to intimidate as merchants and drunks though, and with little more than a raised eyebrow and an amused scoff he was forcefully escorted from every noble house he visited, each time his anger and humiliation growing. Eventually his temper snapped. But again, House trained guardsman are a step above what he was used to, and they beat him down quickly, and threatened worse if he did not leave. So he did, taking his mother south to Restov, fuming every step of the way. Once his mother was settled, tired and weakened from the long trip and her old age, he set about finding a way to get vengeance upon those who slighted him, and take his "rightful" place as a Rogarvia. A charter to establish an entire new kingdom will do quite nicely, for a start.

Phntm888 here, submitting this guy. He was in a Kingmaker game that died due to players dropping and conflicting GM styles. I really want to play but…I can't post 1/day

27 submissions, and only 5 non-core races. Surprising to see that in an "any Paizo race" recruitment.

Already playing this in one of the DM's other games, not gonna press my luck!

GM_DBH wrote:
It will close on 17/09/17. (Sep 17th)

I found this character in my alias list.

It will be easy enough to change out the family house in the backstory to represent a house actually in the party. Slaves don't get to pick their homes, after all.

The GM must have been VERY specific about acceptable information, because all the notes I normally include in the alias to help me stay on track and be able to prove the numbers are missing.

It looks like the character was built with 18 points. The quick solution will be to increase the 2 9s to 10s (one is actually being increased from 11 to 12 before racial reduction, but still only 1 point).

I'll double check to see if one of the campaign traits actually supports a catfolk slave background, too. Edit: And none of them really do, though I supposea tweaking of the "Noble Born" write-up would give him a flavor tied to the house whose name should be used in the background.

And attributes modified.

Edit 2: Oh, and if I remember correctly, the dead girl mentioned in the background was from the backstory of the Lebeda family member in the party. Those kinds of shard details can be important.

I would like to submit this alias. I will update him if considered, as I am using my phone.

Thank you for running.

I am throwing my hat in the ring as Kingmaker was my favourite game GM'ing that I never got to play myself.

My character is a human paladin, noble born, which I made to explore the depth of chaos and turmoil inside an apparently black and white character like a LG paladin.

Stats:

Male Human Paladin (Defender)
N Medium Humanoid (Human)

Statistics
Str 16, Dex 12, Con 14, Int 10, Wis 8, Cha 16

Combat Gear: Peasant's Outfit, Dagger, Splint Mail, Scimitar, Heavy Steel Shield
Other Gear: Rope, Torches, Bedroll, Caltrops, Rations, Flint/steel, candles, prayer book, holy symbol (flavor), Potion of CLW.

Background:

Jain presents himself as the typical no-nonsense, honorable, loyal and devoted paladin, yet his past makes this calling a struggle to maintain every day as his inner demons fight with the angels of his better nature. He has been cast out from his house of Surtova and taken up service with a temple to Iomedae, his chosen deity, in the city of New Stetven.

While his armor shields his body from the blows of evil beings, there is very little protecting his fragile mind from the memories of his violent and cruel childhood. He tries to find peace in the protection of the innocent and upholding his deities moral codex, however, it might just be a matter of time before he has no armor left.

Just to be very informative for everyone. It's just after 12.00 midday for me now. I'll close recruiting in 24 hours, then I'll audit and arrange the parties.

I'll be blunt, there are so many good characters I am going to try running two tables, six in each party. It's picking the characters and putting parties together that's going to be the hard part given the selection I have to choose from.

I won't put a deadline on when I'll have finalized the selections, but at least a day, maybe two.
