NPCingSoran moves into the golem room and twists, watching both opponents. Seeing Ferabras is alone against his foe, he fires at that herald! Bow!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 for 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 damage!

Possible Crit!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19 for 2d8 + 10 ⇒ (8, 8) + 10 = 26 additional damage! The arrow hits the man in the jugular and he falls to the ground, bleeding out almost immediately.

Zolarus heals, while Hoshiko tries to spear the man on her black blade, but misses by inches. Ferabras, seeing his foe fall, moves up to the remaining Herald and slashes using your first attack here, nearly carving into the man's ribs. He lets out a cry of pain and begins murmuring prayers to Razmir in a panicked voice!

Sorry, This week has really sucked, and it hit me out of nowhere!

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Mikail withdraws his blade from his opponents body and attempts to stick him again, but the blade passes harmlessly over the mans head.

Sorry! Been going through some pretty intensive interviews and haven't been near wifi for very long. I've barely had enough time to update the games I'm Gming...

Soren grins wryly as he takes one down, and fires twice at the next.
Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Damage: 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

Mikail's attack goes a bit off, but Soren sinks an arrow home on the masked herald. He groans, clearly feeling the injuries, but still fights on with the feverish belief of a fanatic!

Ferabras, Zolarus and Hoshiko are up!

Ferabras attempts to attack the remaining herald, but the doorway makes it too difficult to land a hit. "Step back, Hoshiko," he says, "draw him out! If he won't come, Soran will fill him with arrows."

Hoshiko takes two solid hits and takes a 5 ft out of the way to allow others the opportunity to kill the foe...Hoshiko also goes full defense...

Both Ferabras and Zolarus fail to hit the man, who dances in a pained way to avoid the attacks. Hoshiko slides backward to allow others forward.

ROUND 3!

Mikail and SOran are up!

Mikail once again dances forward, attempting to fell the man before him.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (17) + 5 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (5) + 1 + (5) = 11
He growls slightly in exertion, then smiles as his blade comes back red, another hole poked into the half armoured man.

And the herald falls as Mikail pierces him with a sharp pointy blade!

End of combat!

On the corpse of each man, or nearby in his room, you find the following times two: potion of cure moderate wounds, potion of invisibility, potion of stabilize; Other Gear masterwork rapier, masterwork light crossbow with 20 bolts, +1 studded leather, +1 light steel shield, black robes, iron mask, sunrod (2), thieves’ tools, 124 gp.

After the combat ends Hoshiko motions for one of the healing potions as she is down on one knee recovering...

Once everyone is healed, Ferabras opens the door he's standing in front of.

Mikail digs through the items they pulled off of their adversaries and finds another potion. he quickly offers it around to see if anyone else needs it more than he does, and if not, quickly drinks the brew.

Cure Mod Potion: 2d8 + 1 ⇒ (7, 5) + 1 = 13
Seems a waste using a cure mod for 6hp of damage..

Once his wounds have knit together, he stands, feeling refreshed and eager to finish this out. He quietly moves to the door in front of Ferabras and checks it over before the big man opens it.

Listening for any commotion beyond the door, checking for traps.

Zolarus stops Mikails hand before drinking the potion and offers his curing wand to heal his companions' wounds. He confidently stands behind the tiefling waiting to explore the next room.

Mikail, don't be wasting a cure moderate wounds pot on after battle healing. Please use my cure light wounds wand if you need extra healing. The same goes for everyone else. Just tell me how many charges you are using.

Mikail stops at the Nagaji's admonishment, and gratefully allows the oracle to heal his wounds. "Hey! That was swell.. Thank you!" he says.

Ferbras opens the door to reveal a small room. This small chamber is immaculately clean, with the bed crisply made, the floor swept, and all of the personal effects carefully stored and organized. Judging by the personal items, this is Egarthis' room.

Mikail carefully steps within the door, searching all about for something of interest.

Mikail finds what looks like a gaudy gold dagger in a drawer. Appraise checks, please!

A map of Tamran hangs on the wall. Marked routes on the map show the growth in various sectors of the city. Specific businesses are marked for "conversion and tithing" along with scrawled estimates of how much in tithes can be extorted from each. While not damning in itself, it does show the progress the temple has made in the city and its future plans.

On the bedstand you find a half finished poem, marked at the top with 'For Iramine, to celebrate your great conquest'. The poem is horrible and marked up in several places. It is definitely a love poem.

Lastly Mikail finds a small ledger. Inside are several coded transactions, as well as a roster of the temple. Your names are inside, along with several accurate and somewhat demeaning comments on your work ethic, appearances and potential for advancement in the Temple.

No appraise, unfortunately..

Mikail holds up the golden dagger for the party to see. "Hey guys! look what I found! Isn't this cool? It looks valuable. That much gold, it has to be worth something!" Continuing on through the room, he finds the poem and is unable to completely cover a snicker. "Someone needs to put this guy out of her misery!" he mutters, poem following the dagger into his pack. "This map and the ledger may help.." he says to everyone. Flipping irreverently through the pages while everyone else works to get the map down, he snickers and giggles at the individual descriptions, reading them aloud for all to enjoy. Reaching his own, he exclaims "Hey!! That's not nice!!"

"Ignore the comments about us. He was right in a way. We would never have made good Razmirans in the long haul. I am more interested in evidence of their corruption. Would the ledger suffice?"

Soren keeps watch with a nocked bow by the door while the others search, and makes sure they aren't caught unaware by any Razmirans.
Nice find Mikail. I'm sure we can find someone to sell it to for a nice haul. I don't think Egarthis will be needing it after we show everyone the map and the ledger.

The double doors opposite the doors that brought you upstairs suddenly swing open with great force, startling you from your discussions!

"Egarthis will be keeping his things, thank you. But as for you? I believe Razmir has tired of your antics, worms. Kill them," He utters the last to two hellhounds that he holds fiery leashes to. He releases the leashes and they spring forward to attack!

Ferabras steps up onto the dais where the statue of masks once stood, then brings his blade down on the hellhound from above!

Mikail follows Ferabras onto the plinth of the statue, stabbing down at the southern dog. "Get off him, you ugly brute! Bad dog!" Mikail yells out, stabbing at the canine.

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Ferabras swings and cuts deeply into the hound's flanks, while Zolarus attacks the other and barely misses it. Mikail stabs the southern dog and elicits a yelp of pain!

Seeing his Hound in such pain, Egarthis snarls and murmurs a spell, pointing at Ferabras! Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16 for 4d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5, 1) = 16 fire damage!

Round 2: Hoshiko is up!

Soran takes a step back and fired two arrows at the hound that bit him.

The other hound steps back five feet and snarls, then vomits forth a cone of fire that washes over Mikail and Soran! Fire damage, Reflex Save DC 14 for half: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9!

Soran, Ferabras, Mikail and Zolarus are up!

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Mikail manages to jump out of the way from the fire, only his tail and his cloak getting scorched. He dodges back into the fray, rapier poking at the dog once more.
Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 5 + 1 = 25
Confirm: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 1 = 24

Damage!: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (3, 6) + 2 = 11

Makail's dodge and subsequent stab earns a yelp of pain from the hell hound!

Soran and Ferabras are up!

Ferabras feels the fire washing over him, though it affects him less than Egarthis might have hoped. Fire Resistance 5 He steps down from the dais towards Egarthis, saying fiercely, "I've been waiting for this. " He calls on the virtue that runs through his blood in spite of the infernal taint, directing its power to smite the cult leader.

5-foot step, activate smite toward Egarthis, full attack.

Soran fires two more arrows at the hound after trying to dodge the fiery blast, but taking the full force of it! He snarls at Egarthis and calls him out as the healing wave washes over him.

Soran's first arrow misses completely, but the second flies straight and true! At least until Egarthis knocks it casually from the air!

"Fools! Razmir is more powerful than you can possibly imagine! What profit is there in denying a god?" Egarthis steps back five feet and snarls at Ferabras!He murmurs the words of a spell and seems to grow stronger!

Round 3: Hoshiko is up!

Hoshiko attacks the hellhound one more time flanked by Ferabas...

With a yelp the northernmost hound disappears in a pull of oily smoke!

Soran, Ferabras, Mikail and Zolarus are up!

"You'll soon find what profit there is in dying for a false god, greedy fool!" Ferabras cries, following implacably after Egarthis.

He brings his blade down in a deadly arc, then bites at the high priest for good measure!
