Ferabras moves to the center of the room and stands by the flail on the floor, hoping to keep anyone from picking it up.

Double move. Should we assume we're in armor and everything, except for the different weapons than normal?

Zolarus moves into the center of the room completely defending himself from attacks. Full defense, AC depends on if armor is allowed.

i believe they took all of our possessions...

Hey have taken your gear, so you rely on your Dex and feat choices. You'll get your gear back after you're confirmed. I think this is the only combat you'll see until then, though.

Got it, I just forgot that detail over our little break.

Good Catch, Ferabras.. I as well forgot about that!

Mikail keeps to his corner for the moment, torn at the directions and not willing to take his much stronger opponents face to face. He takes a defensive stance, sap at the ready until he sees an opening.

Delay for now.. but should an opportunity present itself, he will take action. Otherwise, Total Defense for this round.

So.. Mechanics question. Flanking/ sneak attack bonus is Mikails greatest tool. RAW states for flanking to apply, an enemy is bracketed by two friendlies. Since there are no friendlies, but the situation would still be two attackers vs the one in the middle, will sneak attack still apply??

Mikail, delay or total defense? Both are standard actions. As for sneak attack... I don't know, honestly. Let me look into it a little and I'll get to you.

When making a melee attack, you get a +2 flanking bonus if your opponent is threatened by another enemy character

Re Sneak: Great! I was hoping you would rule that way, but wanted to be sure. Re action: I was hoping for the best of both worlds lol. I was hoping I could delay for now and if someone attacks me, it would be total defense and then if no one attacks me I could move in at the end of initiative. However, since you are right, and I shouldn't be able to play both sides of the field like that...

Finally making up his mind, Mikail grimaces and clutches tightly at the handle of his sap. He takes a few steps forward, on defense in case any of his bigger companions decides to rush him. Total defense

Evlar moves in away from Ferabras and bends down to pick up the flail. He holds it, turning back and forth between Ferabras and Zolarus. "Nothing personal, you lot. I need to stand out!"

Ferabras eyes Elvar a moment, thinking, I can't let him hurt my friends with that thing. He steps close, swinging the sap and gnashing his teeth - carefully - at the eager young man.

5-foot step, full attack vs Elvar.

Hoshiko moves in and sets to protect herself from her allies.

Ferabras thinks he is worthy of being favored in this fight, but his two swipes at the air near Evlar show he may not be the best option.

Mikail, on the other hand, sidles in and catches the half-elf unawares and bashes him upside his head!

Soran and Zolarus

Soran sighs and looks ruefully at the sap in his hand.
This is madness. First, I have to pretend to even care about some self stylized "god", and now I have to attack my own allies? I'm a huntsman, not a common thug! What am I even supposed to do with this thing?! I hope no one is going to take this personally...

The archer's hesitation, and thoughts, are clear as he is slow to move, but when he does it's to bonk the arrogant Evlar upside the head.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Zolarus eyes flash red for a second and clumsily swings a sap at Mikail the Nimble.

Attack, flank: 1d20 + 4 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 4 - 4 + 2 = 17
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

Soran slowly moves in, but decisively strikes the half-elf fellow. He reels a bit, but maintains his hold on the flail.

Meanwhile, Zolarus lands a fairly decent blow on Mikail!

Evlar turns on Soran, a new fire in his eyes. He steps out of the flanking position, dropping his sap to get a firm two-handed hold on the flail, and swings at the Slayer!
Flail: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 for 1d10 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

The heavy flail's head whooshes past Soran's head, which is good because it was moving at a pretty decent speed!

Evlar 10 pts NL, Mikail 6 pts NL

"Leave him alone!" Ferabras whispers intensely at Evlar, before bashing him on the head with the sap and biting at him again.

Sap attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Sap damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Bite attack, secondary, NL: 1d20 + 7 - 5 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 7 - 5 - 4 = 15
Bite damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

If the sap hit knocks down Evlar:

Ferabras turns to Soran and says quietly, "Sorry about this. I know we've been through a lot together, but gotta put on a good show..." then bites him!

With a quick one-two combination, Ferabras puts Evlar down in a heap, the flail dropping from his hands!

Within moments, priests come out into the courtyard and carry Evlar off to treat his injuries. Now it's just you all.

Everyone but Ferabras is up!

Hoshiko delays in her defensive stance just to see what her erstwhile companions intend to do...

Reeling from the blow dealt by Zolarus, Mikail takes a step away, trying to keep the much larger man from pining him in the middle of the melee. As he moves, his sap strikes out, quick as a snake, and taps the snake mans jaw.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Zolarus is surprised his first strike landed and swings again.

I moved Evlar off the map after he fell. There is, however, the flail if any of you want it, haha. It is two handed!

Soran shrugs at Ferabras and mutters in a whisper to the tiefling
No worries. Gotta put on a good show for these bastards...

Then, he doinks the the paladin between the eyes with his sap.

Hoshiko continues to be defensive while Mikail and Zolarus exchange swings. The kitstune is able to get under the nagaji's defenses before dodging out of reach.

Soran, however, goes up to Ferabras and cracks a good one on the tiefling's noggin!

Krant shouts his encouragement. "One down, who'll be next? Pick up the flail! Use it!"

Also, Zolarus, since it is a sap, you do not need to take a -4 penalty to do nonlethal damage. It will always do nonlethal by default.

Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 1 = 20
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Mikail backs away from Zolarus, and then immediately darts back in and gives him a solid thunk with his sap. As the big man drops down beside Mikail, he deftly makes sure no further damage is caused by the fall. With a grimace, he turns about to the battle raging behind him and considers his options.

Finally deciding the bigger teifling made the worst enemy, he launches himself that direction.

Ferabras steps to one side to avoid being surrounded, his fighting instincts coming to the fore even as he tries to keep from hurting his friends.

He lays a quick hand on his side to restore some of the damage he's sustained, then swings again at Soran, returning the knock on the noggin!

Soran grimaces at the whack and chuckles.
Nice swing. You'll have to teach me your melee technique when we're done here. I'm afraid all my training has been with a bow...

He swings his sap again, hitting the tiefling squarely in the head once more.

Unless I missed a hit, Zolarus has only taken 14 NL damage, leaving him still standing after Mikail's strike.

Ferabras, I leave that option to you.

Mikail lands another good blow on Zolarus while Soran and Ferabras trade blows!

Meanwhile, Hoshiko keeps her distance letting the menfolk tire themselves out before stepping in.

Zolarus up!

His head is spinning and stumbles toward the fox swinging again.

The -4 is for a martial weapon which he is not proficient.

Ha! Good hit.. that one puts me out! GM: Sorry I assumed too much in my last post.

With the falling of Mikail, clerics rush out to retrieve his form and set to healing him once on the sidelines.

Krant is happy to see this turning out well. "It's a good hit! Nice shot!"

Sior - I should have 2 more hp (and be at 12), from the Lay on Hands last round.

"Sounds good, Soran," Ferabras says quietly, just before he whacks the archer soundly on the head with his sap. Then, stepping close, he sets his black teeth on the man's shoulder and gives his a quick shake. When his mouth is no longer full, he says, "But first, get some rest."

That should put Soran on the ground, with 30 points of nonlethal.

Soran hits Ferabras with a worthy clonk before the tiefling puts him to the ground! Again, clerics rush in, grab the slayer's body, and rush off to heal his bruises.

Zolarus finds no love with his sap trying to push his own advantage.

Ferabras knocks Zolarus out with a powerful whack with the sap, muttering apologies as the nagaji falls. He then turns and chomps at Hoshiko!

Mikail groans and starts to stir under the healers skilled touch. Eventually, he lifts his head and takes in the combatants still fighting it out on the field, while rubbing his aching head.

The nagaji falls to the ground with a hard "thud".

Awaiting Hoshiko if the player is back as yet. I know they were gone for a time, so keeping an eye out.
