Quote:
*message* to Halistria ::You handle the floor, crone, and I'll dance in the air.::

*Message to TikTik* -snorts with laughter- Crone indeed! I have lived only the tiniest fraction of the years given to my people. As for being bound to the ground, well, my alliance with the winds has grown ever-stronger since last we met. Perhaps I will join you for that sky-dance once we've cleaned up this mess of yours.

Halistria has finally followed the trail of smashed doors to the diminutive source of her amusement. Finding TikTik surrounded by what appears to be a wizard, two fighters (one of them better groomed than the other), and the remains of the really-dead-this-time undead, she laughs again. (It seems Lotus and the prisoners are not visible at the moment.)

Really, you little scamp, can't you go for ten minutes without summoning trouble? Was that putrid corpse of... something, outside the gates your fault, too?

Halistria appears to be a lovely (surface) elven woman with platinum hair and striking azure eyes. She is in a simple, but well-made dress, that seems designed to accentuate her graceful movements. Breezes move about her constantly, accentuating her dress and hair. She doesn't seem to be wearing armor, and carries little gear.

Noticing the rest of the group she says

Where are my manners? I'm Halistria D'Harvash. I was summoned by that scoundrel there to sing at a wedding. But now it appears that the bride and groom are missing. And there was something about a dragon? I have been blessed by Shelyn to have some talents with music, healing, and the winds. If I can be useful getting this wedding back on track, I am at your service.

"They were killed on the spot." says one of the prisoners.

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

It is a portable hole, not a bag.

::That was Thogg's work, I believe.:: Tik-Tik replies, pointing his stinger at the barbarian. ::And you are late! How could you sing at the wedding if you miss it, you old windbag?::

::Never mind that now. I've got to get these prisoners out of here. Is there any place we should meet?:: Tik-Tik asks everyone.

Thogg leers in a positively inappropriate manner at the Elven woman who has joined them. "You are a much more pleasant site than the rest of my companions. You we will keep."

"My blood is up and this place holds no sign of the groom. Lets go to where ever Count Saleno lives and break his door next."

Does anyone here cast Greater Magic Weapon? Thogg would benefit greatly from it.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Lotus steps out of the bag of holding,
We best the tows folk inside to a safe place quickly
She notices Halistria D'Harvash and the fact she looks as if she is helping, Lotus casts detect evil to see what other evil may be around,
if she sees past her Illusion or not Lotus will say
Well meet Elf are you here to aid us, I thank you

She nods, then heads back into the hole

Still trying to catch up with the goings on, Halistria nods back at the re-disappearing Lotus.

Knowledge Religion Check to determine that Lotus is a cleric, and to which deity: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (8) + 12 = 20

She looks Thogg up and down and says Well aren't you a strong specimen of manhood? I think I'll keep you too. But who is this Count Saleno and why does his door deserve smashing?

And you, you scoundrel-- why are you keeping prisoners in your portable hole? Worse yet, why are you keeping a cleric of the goodly Sarenrae prisoner? (presuming the DC was not high to know that) Are you possessed?

It only takes a DC 10 knowledge check to recognize a holy symbol. :)

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

::First, I used it to get them out of these cells. They aren't mine. Second, I am not possessed. Have you old eyes started failing you?:: Tik-Tik asks as he folds the hole up and places it securely in his backpack. He leaps into the air and pauses long enough to open the windows. ::Besides, you saw here get in willingly.::

::I'll be back as soon as I can.:: Tik-Tik broadcasts to his allies before he flies out the window and toward the city limits.

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

*Message* to Tik-Tik. Fine, be that way, lizard-lips. Oh, and I would head a bit to the left if I were you... there's a guard on the other side of that tree. *Windsight* My eyes are just fine, thank you very much.

Oh, and you can come back to the jailhouse if you wish, but your massive shaggy friend seems to be off after this Count. I intend to follow him, since he, at least, wants my help.

To Thogg Shall we go crush something evil, my impressive new friend?

I don't have the Greater Magic Weapon, sorry. But a couple of my songs can give attack and damage bonuses...

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

::Lizard-lips? And here I thought you liked it when I drank my alter self potions.:: Halistria is getting the distinct impression Tik-Tik is teasing her.

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

If and when Tik-Tik gets the Towns folk out side the city, Lotus will usher them out and send them on there way, with the blessings of the dawn-flower.
(Been keeping an eye on them so they do not take any of Tik-Tiks stuff)

Then ask my diminutive new chum for a ride back, and his name.

If you have any other Q's of the freed nows the time to ask

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Now the task of setting the locked up free Lotus heads off to catch the group going to the head mans home. She jogs up with stops next to Halistria.

Well meet far elf, Tik-Tik says you are a singer of songs, here to entertain. Could I ask do you have other skills for this will be a fight to the death, I have faced this Dragon once and would have aid next time"

Why dont we have a chat

Walking slightly behind the group then jogging to catch up."Afternoon Ladies, are you also here for the Wedding which has become sort of a Dragon hunt." Kaz Chuckles "What can you do about local customs."

He looks at the ladies more closely. "Where are my manners?, I am Kazimer Tumaz and this as you put it Halistria, strong specimen of manhood is Thogg."

"Lady of Sarenrae, I want to thank you for your help with those abominations against Pharasma."

Female Aasimar Cleric 16 (Sarenrae)

Well meet Master Tumaz, your art with the swords tells me your a man who has seem much combat. I feel we will need such skills before this day is done. Please, there is no need to thank me, like you I am acting to save the innocent, as I believe the others are, and me this is an act of devotion as well which I willingly

Lotus smiles and then looks at Thogg
How ever i feel Master Thogg may be doing this just for the joy of a good fight
she chuckles,

"There has hardly been any fighting to speak of. I'm working on it.

Thogg suddenly brightens. "The brothel! We were told the count might be there. We should go there now. That at least will be sure to not be a wasted trip."

Grand Lodge

Female Drow Bard 8/ Oracle of Wind 7

To Lotus: Well-met, Lady of Sarenrae. You are brave indeed to have survived one encounter with a dragon, only to return and face it again. I think when this business is done, I will need the whole tale, so I can set it to song. For now, may I start with knowing your name?

To Kaz: And you also, Master Tumaz, well-met. From the shredded condition of the finally truly dead, it appears you and your friends are master warriors. I think you may hardly need my help, but I offer it anyway.

To Tik-Tik: And you, you scoundrel. First off, I am *not* late, the wedding hasn't even started yet. And second, there seems to be some sort of madness at work here and I'm sure you're at the heart of it. You're capturing people in your portable hole, and now we're chasing a count into a brothel. I thought the point was that a dragon had kidnapped the wedding party. Why are we now following a barbarian to a whorehouse?

Male Fort: + 1 Ref: +3 Will: +3, AC: 17 Touch: 15 Flat-Footed: 14, Init: +5 CMB -2 CMD 11, SR 12

::Could you stop him?:: Tik-Tik asks with a raised eye ridge. ::We're looking for information, Hally, and the Count may have it. You do not try to cook spiced crab legs without the recipe, do you?::

::How's your hearing, old lady? I do believe I said I was using the hole to free them. Need I repeat myself a bit louder?::

not so random roll:1d100 ⇒ 20

On the way to the brothel the same Bloodless(people with scythes) that Thogg scared off is seen approaching the party and he is not alone. He has 3 others with him.

He says "Those are the troublemakers. Well I don't remember all of them being there, but I doubt they are innocent."

Another one that is wearing what appears to be a sheriff's badge then speaks in a loud voice. "Because you have caused civil unrest, and committed violence against proper and legal authority figures you will be put to death. Put down your weapon, holy symbols, spell component pouches, along with any other offensive minded items. Those of you not identified as committing such crimes shall be spared. I will not ask again."

I hope we got a free action, because as soon as Lotus sees them it would have been "O look undead abominations from beyond the grave that are abhorred by my entire faith that has sworn to destroy such horrors on sight, humm what to do

NO QUARTER WILL BE GIVEN, I NAME YOU ABOMINATIONS OF UNLIFE, AS SUCH YOUR EVIL NECROTIC FORMS WILL BE ENDDED, HERE AND NOW!, THE GODS DEMAND IT, SO READY YOURSELVES FOWL UNDEAD FOR OBLIVION!!!

A good old rallying speech always helps to stop Intimation

Lotus: If you can see them they can see you so no free actions would be given. They have already been told the story of outsiders by the run that was run off. <--normally how things work

In this case you get a surprise round because I think you start casting and ignore their babble. As soon as you started to cast though they would have cut their speech off and got into "fight mode", just like the party is.

And... as to my question, didn't Hali have faster reflexes and start singing before Lotus began spellcasting?

Hoping Hali got off *Inspiring Song of Courage* (+2 to Allies attacks, damage, and saves) before spellcasting or combat started.

Don't worry about morale, Lotus. The bard's got that covered. Just go crush the bad guys. aka -teasing- Stop shouting, can't you see I'm singing here? ;)

Then Hali will use *Lingering Performance* (automatic) to leave that resonating in the air for 2 more rounds.

And target a cluster of them if possible, with my next action: *Sonic Blast*

We are in a PbP so it is hard to say. I will be nice and give it to both of you. Remember standard actions only for surprise rounds. :)

Lotus:
LOL on the "jazz hands of courage." Imagine a mime bard?
For my next number I'd like to do "walking against the wind of 'inspire competence'" or "get out of the invisible box of 'counterspell'."

Thanks GM! For no particular reason other than I'm excited to get going on my first battle with the group, I think this battle is shaping up like so...

4 bad guys approach and tell us to lay down our arms
Halistria begins "Song to Inspire Courage"
Lotus begins casting "Protection from Evil, Mass" (roll a d20+15 for those of us with SR, please)
4 Baddies stop talking, start attacking (25 initiative)
    Thogg attacks (21 initiative)
    Kaz ?
    Keffle?
Halistria casts *sound burst* (*lingering* inspire courage is active for 2 more rounds)(16 initiative)
Lotus gives rallying speech, unless something else (14 initiative)
Tik-Tik cowers in the back (8 initiative)

Sorry if I'm stepping on your toes GM. Just psyched to get going.

Lotus is providing: a +2 deflection bonus to AC and a +2 resistance bonus on saves, +2

I have Prot f. Evil. Yay! (and TikTik wouldn't have if he'd waited for Lotus or the DM to roll, as he ought. Now who's getting senile?)

When it's Halistria's action (after all those speedy people)
she'll leave "Song of Inspire Courage" *lingering* for two more rounds (automatic),

and cast *sonic blast* targeting as many foes as she can without hitting allies.

For everyone to read:

Kaz gets in the center of his companions and casts Haste "szybkość i zręczność do moich towarzyszy."

Haste:
Haste

School transmutation; Level bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3

Casting Time 1 standard action

Components V, S, M (a shaving of licorice root)

Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)

Targets one creature/level, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart

Duration 1 round/level

Saving Throw Fortitude negates (harmless); Spell Resistance yes (harmless)

The transmuted creatures move and act more quickly than normal. This extra speed has several effects.

When making a full attack action, a hasted creature may make one extra attack with one natural or manufactured weapon. The attack is made using the creature's full base attack bonus, plus any modifiers appropriate to the situation. (This effect is not cumulative with similar effects, such as that provided by a speed weapon, nor does it actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round.)

A hasted creature gains a +1 bonus on attack rolls and a +1 dodge bonus to AC and Reflex saves. Any condition that makes you lose your Dexterity bonus to Armor Class (if any) also makes you lose dodge bonuses.

All of the hasted creature's modes of movement (including land movement, burrow, climb, fly, and swim) increase by 30 feet, to a maximum of twice the subject's normal speed using that form of movement. This increase counts as an enhancement bonus, and it affects the creature's jumping distance as normal for increased speed. Multiple haste effects don't stack. Haste dispels and counters slow.

I'm placed on the map but I'll wait to see what they do before guessing at my actions. Thanks for the Haste, Kaz.

I know they are getting 2 standard actions a round. Monster special ability.
-------------------------------------------------------------

rules for energy drain for temporary level loss:
For each negative level a creature has, it takes a cumulative –1 penalty on all ability checks, attack rolls, combat maneuver checks, Combat Maneuver Defense, saving throws, and skill checks. In addition, the creature reduces its current and total hit points by 5 for each negative level it possesses. The creature is also treated as one level lower for the purpose of level-dependent variables (such as spellcasting) for each negative level possessed. Spellcasters do not lose any prepared spells or slots as a result of negative levels. If a creature's negative levels equal or exceed its total Hit Dice, it dies.
