The Razor Coast has drawn men to madness and slaughter since the world was young. Tulita natives, born from the same fire as this jagged coast, claim the Razor existed long before the world’s other lands. It is a crucible of flame cooled by the ocean’s caress and its mountains, reefs, and lightless depths teem with as many terrors as lustrous spoils. The Razor bucks the trappings of civilization in much the same manner the storm-tossed sea spurns the men who dare mount her. This is no place for the weak-willed. Untested souls are food for its storms, its fickle gods, its ancient spirits, and the evil predations of unfathomable creatures. No less dangerous are the men who make the coast their home and whose dark desires put most horrors to shame.

If Hargrove hired Karskor Thul to steal the Jawbone and then Karskor decided to just keep it/was working as a double agent for one of the cults, that would be hilarious. It's too early to say if it is the Jawbone or not though, scrimshaw was super popular. Hell, Baldwin gave us all scrimshaw kits at the beginning of the game.

I leave it up to the party if they want Astrianna to go or not. She has wanted this since she first met the Commandant, and I am roleplaying her accordingly.

However, I am player first, roleplayer second. If you convince her to go to the barnacle she will go .(Honestly if I were roleplaying 100% true to her character she would ditch everyone regardless of what they said.) Just to note, if she does go with the Commandant she will definitely be gathering information as well. Pillow talk has changed nations.

There is a huge difference between a character running off on his/her own and the NPC inviting a character for some fun entertainment.

Slumber hex requires damage or standard action to wake. If everyone awoke after falling to the ground the hex would be far less terrifying.

There are several possible reasons, but backsng down is a punk move.

Completing the objective, proves aptitude, resolve and professionalism. Leaving the off duty dragoons alive proves we're not criminals, nor psychopaths. It shows that we're a valuable, desirable, marketable resource possibly better than what they've got.

It's an "in your face, what else can we help you with? And, in the future we prefer full disclosure or your people could end up dead. And, it'll be on you."

Nothing helps business like a little grandstanding.

But... we're craven punks.
