Sorry about that everyone I must have checked the thread on my phone then forgot to go back when I was at a computer forgetting it was my turn.

5 damage, 3 reduced by the periapt, instead of using the shield I'm discarding it, plus the turtle for the remaining two damage.

BR redeux |

In future when we hit a rallying cry, I can pick 5 random allies and assign them to everyone. Then you can determine the order you attempt to acquire them. Generally going for the easiest ones first and then determining if it is worth it to spend resources on the harder ones is a good strategy

EmpTyger |

Who encounters their Betrayal Demon first: Amaryllis or Athnul? Or can we decide the order?
Ideally, Athnul would go first, and evade. If Amaryllis goes first, she’s unlikely to make that Wisdom 9 check, which could cause Athnul to discard her blessings from the 1d6 combat damage. Which would prevent Athnul from being able to evade, which means that she has the Wisdom 9 check too!

EmpTyger |

I’d vote for saving blessings.
Admittedly I’m biased, since Amaryllis can’t use weapon upgrades.
But we need to permanently close all locations, and the henchmen require DEX/Perception/Stealth/Knowledge.
- DEX: Amaryllis has a d8, everyone else is d4 or d6.
Perception: Athnul
Knowledge: Nyctessa (mythic)
Stealth: No one
Only Nyctessa really has a shot without blessings. Athnul is unlikely without 1, Amaryllis needs at least 1, and Uliah and Ramexes are unlikely without at least 2.
And that’s before any closing checks.
Also, blessings are extravaluable this scenario, since they count as evades.

FYI - I'll be out of town starting Friday June 29th and will be returning sometime in the evening July 5th. I won't have access to the database to make game updates but I should have limited access to the internet in the mornings to answer questions.
Also as a reminder, the Cards against Gnomanity pbp event starts July 9th. This game DOES qualify for the new ACG boons.
If you haven't seen the event thread, check it out HERE

Arboreal’s summon |

Just wondering if posting an update like this would be helpful
Bow turn 8 Amarylis (blessing of ascension)
Location decks as per above linked post except
Canyon has been shuffled and cave viper (card 9) is on top
Ramexes is here
Abyssal river is card 6-10 only
Nyctessa and amarylis are here
Nyctessa could have examined top or bottom card (6 or 10) at the end of her turn
This is an alias of Ramexes

EmpTyger |

Amaryllis encountered another Demon Patrol. Right now, DEX + Banner of Valor gives me 2d8+a reroll = 41%.
Can anyone offer a blessing? 3d8+a reroll = 90%. (And it's an easy closing check, just discard a Divine card.)
Without a blessing, I might still try going for it, hoping for Mirror Image to protect me if I fail.

![]() |

The basic 1 die to a check or to explore. If I have another corrupted blessing I can recharge instead of discard.

EmpTyger |

Thanks again Agent Eclipse!
And good idea with the updates, Ramexes.
For Turn 9 Uliah
- Dark Forest ? (I think it's shuffled with an armor and a spell missing, but Athnul can confirm?)
Athnul is here
- Wounded Lands has no changes
Uliah is here
- Molten Pool has cards 1-3 revealed (Nectar of the Gods, Demonic Fly, Spiny Shield)
- Canyon has been shuffled and cave viper (card 9) is on top
Ramexes is here
- Abyssal River is closed
Amaryllis and Nyctessa are here.

Ramexes 9251-4 |

No I don’t recall dark forest being shuffled since last update
Will look at updating where this is and take my turn tonight

BR redeux |

Wow! Thanks Ramexes and all for helping track all the changes while I was away!!!
Dark Forest shuffles with the location ability, though I don't recall seeing that ability used so in my most recent update I haven't shuffled it. I did assume you wanted to examine the top card though, so that's in there.

EmpTyger |

Ramexes has to summon a mercenary at the Canyon. Amaryllis has a blessing in hand, so if you want to just evade it, I'll recharge it to let you do so. But, since it's only a Combat 12, I figured I'd give you the opportunity to be bloodthirsty? (Which would let us scout an extra card at the Canyon.)
But no pressure either way- totally up to you.

BR redeux |

Yeah, Really wish there was an easier way to show the acquired cards. I'm hoping the new database we're testing out for the Cards against Gnomanity Event will eventually be able to have that information readily available since I realize that does influence decisions. Until that happens, If the group ever wants me to post a list of the currently acquired cards then just ask here or on hangouts and I'll get it posted.

BR redeux |

Looks like amaryllis and athnul lack armor card feat so they can't take the armor 2.
1-2C Summary
Athnul/Baerlie - No Upgrade
Ramexes/Merisial - No Upgrade
Nyctessa/Agent Eclipse - No Upgrade
Amaryllis/EmpTyger - No Upgrade
Uliah/Akaitora - Armor 2
Go ahead and post starting hands/locations for next scenario

EmpTyger |

Summarizing our effectiveness against the Worldwound Cadre henchman army barrier.
- Diplomacy 12: Ramexes, Uliah
Knowledge 12: Nyctessa
Combat 18 (x2): anyone
That means 1 of us will have to do either Ranged or Survival, which is a skill none of us have. As far as helpful boons:
Everyone has blessings.
Amaryllis would get a reroll if she attempts the check herself.
Uliah and Ramexes have Find Traps spells.
Does anyone have any other boons or powers that could help with either?
(I don't remember what Nyctessa's Thieves' Tools or Athnul's Teamster and Snake do.)
Probabilities for Amaryllis + her reroll:
4d4 = 45%
5d4 = 88%
6d4 = 99%
So, it probably makes sense for Amaryllis to take the unskilled check first, ideally with a lot of help. (Unless someone happens to have a good boon in hand for Ranged or Survival?)
Nyctessa takes Knowledge (mythic + medal)
Uliah takes Diplomacy (mythic + medal)
Athnul + Ramexes take the Combats (mythic for Athnul; mythic + medal for Ramexes)

![]() |

Thieves' Tools is 1 die to Disable or automatically beat a barrier with highest difficulty 11 or lower. So unfortunately not very helpful.

Ramexes 9251-4 |

I dont have find traps any more I used it on my turn However if we use Uliahs find traps and combo it with my blessing of pharasma we get 5d4 on the dodgy roll

Hey All --
I'm just looking through the Sign up sheet for the Assault of Absalom special taking place during the Gameday convention
I just wanted to make sure all of you were aware of the special and had a chance to sign-up if you're interested. Assault of Absalom is a multi-table, cross-campaign special. Meaning that actions or inactions from your table can directly impact another table, and vice versa. It will be fun, so I definitely encourage to sign-up.
Also, there's a good chance that once the current tables fill up, I will be opening up an additional table or two for more people to be able to sign-up. If/when that happens, I'll most likely need to put our current game on hold for the duration of the special (Oct1 - Nov 12). So for this reason, I again strongly encourage each of you to sign-up for the special if you haven't already (there's a limit of signing up for one-table so you can't sign up for multiple tables). If we have to take a break from our campaign for the special then we'll pick up afterwards.
Also note that the special can be played two ways-- You can either play for tier advancement, or play for non-tier advancement. If you end up signing up with a character from our current game, I ask you please don't play for tier advancement. It will be ~4 scenarios long and would take away from the balance of our current game and can mess up your character progression. So if you play with your current character, play for non-tier advancement (you'll still get the rewards, just not the tier feats). Alternatively you can always create a new character or use a pre-gen to play in the special and then choose to play for tier advancement or non-tier advancement.
Anyway, let me know if you have questions, or feel free to also post in the linked thread! Thanks,

Message from the Head Box Runner:
----------------
Hello players!
We have received the final piece of our convention support, the special convention player rewards!
First off, if you are a BRAND-NEW player to the Adventure Card Guild (as in, the character you're using in your game is your #XXXX-1001 and you have not played any other characters in organized play) you can assign the Welcome to Pathfinder Reward to that character:
Society Initiate: You may only assign this reward to the first PFSACG character that you create. At the end of a scenario, if your character is dead, you may cross this reward off; your character is no longer dead. If you have a role card, you may instead cross this reward off to gain a card feat.
In addition, EVERY player AND box runner is going to have a 10% chance after each scenario of scoring a reward. These rewards can be assigned to any of your PFSACG characters... they don't have to apply to the character you were using. If you roll a 1 or a 20 on your d20 roll at the end of a scenario, you'll get to choose from any one of the following faction rewards:
Note about faction rewards: Faction rewards are a special type of benefit tied to the factions that use their considerable influence within the Pathfinder Society to pursue their own agendas. You may apply no more than one faction reward to a given character at one time. You may use no more than one power from a faction reward per scenario. Each faction reward specifies additional requirements that, once fulfilled, grant additional uses of the reward’s power. Once you have used all of the powers from a faction reward, including the powers that have additional requirements, you may assign another faction reward to that character.
Player Reward 1: Concordance Faction Reward
[ ] [ ] Elemental Scholar (The Concordance Faction Reward): You may check a box that precedes this reward to reduce Acid, Cold, Electricity, Fire, or Poison damage dealt to you by 2.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Exceed the difficulty of a check to acquire a card that has the Acid, Cold, Electricity, Elemental, Fire, or Poison trait by 6 or more.
[ ] Exceed the difficulty of a check to defeat a monster that has the Elemental trait by 6 or more.
Player Reward 2: Dark Archive Reward
[ ] Collector of Wonders (Dark Archive Faction Reward): On your turn, you may check the box that precedes this reward to draw an item that has the Alchemical or Magic trait or a spell from the box.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Acquire a boon that has the Book trait, a boon that lists Knowledge in its check to acquire, or a spell.
[ ] Succeed at a Knowledge check to defeat a bane.
Player Reward 3: Grand Lodge Reward
[ ] [ ] Society Agent (Grand Lodge Faction Reward): You may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to automatically succeed at your check to temporarily close a location.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Acquire an ally that lists Diplomacy in its check to acquire.
[ ] Close a location on the first turn of a scenario.
Player Reward 4: Liberty's Edge Reward
[ ] [ ] Freedom Fighter (Liberty’s Edge Faction Reward): After you roll on your Charisma check, Diplomacy check, or check attempted before you act, check a box that precedes this reward to add or subtract 1 die; take the new result.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Defeat a monster that has the Captain or Gnoll trait.
[ ] Succeed at a Charisma or Diplomacy non-combat check to defeat a villain or a henchman.
Player Reward 5: The Exchange Reward
[ ] Master of Trade (Exchange Faction Reward): After the roll on your check to acquire a weapon, an armor, or an item, check the box that precedes this reward to add 1d6; take the new result.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] All of the cards offered by a trader you visit have an adventure deck number lower than that of the current scenario.
[ ] Succeed at a Craft non-combat check to acquire or defeat.
Player Reward 6: Silver Crusade Reward
[ ] [ ] Cleanser of Abominations (Silver Crusade Faction Reward): On your turn, you may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to banish a scourge or a card that has the Curse trait.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Defeat a villain or henchman that has the Demon, Fiend, or Undead trait.
[ ] Play a card that shuffles at least 1 card from another character’s discard pile into his deck.
Player Reward 7: Sovereign Court Reward
[ ] [ ] Lawful Citizen (Sovereign Court Faction Reward): You may check an unchecked box that precedes this reward to evade a monster you encounter or to ignore a power that would move you.
You may use this reward up to 2 additional times if you fulfill the following requirements. When you fulfill the requirement, check the box that precedes it; when you use the reward, cross that line off.
[ ] Succeed at a check required to move.
[ ] Bury or banish an armor to reduce all damage dealt to you to 0.
This is the first online ACG event where we've been able to give out rewards like this, so I'm SUPER excited to offer them to you all! Good luck, and I hope each of you wins at least one!!
Tyler
I have confirmed the "Society Initiate" boon will be given to any of you with a charcter # of 1001 for this game. I show that as Nyctessa and Amaryllis

BR redeux |

Unexpected boon, thanks! (Hopefully Amaryllis won't need it.)
I had already included the extra 1d4 in my damage roll. So Amaryllis should be okay?
Amaryllis wrote:Ranged Combat damage: 1d4 - 1 + 1d4 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (1) = 2
Ah, yes, I missed that. Sorry!
And yeah, hopefully you don't need it, but it can always become a card feat after you get your role card.

![]() |

Hmm I wonder if that will be retroactive for those who had a character die. Had someone in one of our games get rather down after losing his first character.

Ramexes 9251-4 |

Just checking what our options are at this point
Recharging ruby and using blessing gives 2d10+3 or 72 pc of dc 12 survival

Uliah, Warpriest |

I'll take the Diplomacy check, unless someone else wants to take it. I imagine Nyctessa can roll the Knowledge Check, leaving the second Combat check for Athnul.
Does that sound like a plan?

Ramexes 9251-4 |

Well i will be at Paizocon UK until Sunday so may be a little distracted

EmpTyger |

I'm assuming we're going back to the following: (Unless anyone has a way in hand of doing Ranged/Survival?)
- Diplomacy 12: Uliah
Knowledge 12: Nyctessa
Ranged 12: Amaryllis
Combat 18 (x2): Athnul, Ramexes
Luckily, the top blessing is Deskari, so Blessings of the Gods will each add +2 dice+2! So maybe use those if possible and hold onto things like Blessing of Abadar and Find Traps for the next army?
(And remember to use your Knights of Kenabres for a bonus d6 if possible!)

EmpTyger |

(Assuming Amaryllis is doing the unskilled check)
Using my own Blessing of the Gods as Deskari gives me 3d4+2+a reroll.
Could I get a little more help from someone? For reference:
3d4+2+reroll = 29%
4d4+2+reroll = 83%
5d4+2+reroll = 99%
Amaryllis has Blessings of Iomedae and Abadar in hand that she can offer in exchange.
