Please us this thread to request features you'd like to see at the new Paizo Store.

A few general guidelines:

1.) If this is a bug, make sure to report it in the Bug Reports thread.
2.) Be respectful and follow Paizo's Community Guidelines.
3.) If you agree with the feature request, favorite the post by clicking the '+'.
4.) Do not debate a feature request. If you don't like it just don't favorite it.
5.) Do not make suggestions that we go back to the old store or recreate the old rewards program.

Paizo does have plans to add more features to the new store post-launch, but the goal of this thread is to make sure we're aligned to the core Paizo community.

So, what would you like to see added to the new store?

-Jim

Jim,
I think a very practical feature of the former site has disapear and I would like to suggest this feature to come back : the Release Schedule
---
As a Paizo Customer, I would like to get access from a maximum of 2 clicks from the home page to a list of the upcoming publication for the next month, and know wether there are part of a subscription or not, so I can add those product in my shopping schedule when the pre-order becomes available
---

I think that we were a lot to use this page to get the release forecast for every products in one "glimpse"

A same page would be awesome for the Shipping schedule, though we can find this in the forum as well.

This is my recommended feature and I hope it'll get enough "+" to be taken into consideration

Hello Website Team,

From within the individual product page, is it possible to add back the note that lets me know if the product is included in my subscription.

I believe this feature used to exist on the old website.

Thanks,
Fasa

PS: Love the new site! Major step forward!

Please investigate alternative ways of structuring the Library.

I find the paginate by date, but apply the group by category within the page to be particularly unhelpful. I'd really love to have the view by category, but the complete list of that category (possibly split across pages if needed), without being mixed in with other categories.

I would like the ability to filter by "Not Owned". This makes finding products/pdfs that you do not have easier to find.

Also, to have the ability to see that I have purchased an item was greatly appreciated. Hopefully this makes it back.

The My Library page would benefit from having an option to increase item per page , all the way to All Items on one page.

Right now, it's quite difficult to navigate all the products I own to download them. I like the new categories, but have to go through each page to see what I've got is very annoying.

Looks really nice!! Great work!

Nice to see some improvements, and good that you're calling for feedback.

* In My Library, it would be good if when you click Group by Category, it actually grouped everything by category. As it stands, a single category is smeared over multiple pages, e.g. there's an Adventures section on each page, instead of all adventures being grouped together.

* In My Library, sort in alpha order should be an option like Publish Date or Last Downloaded. At the moment, e.g. if I search "flip-mat", thr 144 products I have are in a random order, making it hard to scroll through.

* In My Library, when you search for a product, there should be a way of differentiating products with the same name, like there used to be 'sing file' or 'chapter' versions of a product. At the moment, e.g. if I search for "Guns & Gears", I get 4 products all called Pathfinder Guns & Gears PDF, and there's no indication of which is remaster, non-remaster, single file, and whatever the last one is.

* In the store, there doesn't appear to be a way to filter to digital products unless you view the Desktop Mode of the site. Filtering to digital products isn't intuitive even on desktop, as you can only find a PDF by searching for a product then using the "digital products" filter. It would be great if a product just had different listings, e.g. Guns & Gears vs Guns & Gears PDF.
Also, for some products e.g. Pathfinder Player Core, Pathfinder Society modules, and more: I can't work out how to get a digital version at all, even on desktop.

* It would be good in the store if products you owned appeared as such, or could be filtered out when searching.

Just a small thing, but if I open a category in the library (grouped by category), and the only subfolder is "Digital Editions", it would save a lot of people some time if that subfolder was opened by default instead of having to click an extra time on it.

I'll also add there needs to be a way to differentiate Single Chapter and Chapter-by-Chapter pdf versions in the title, but I've seen this reported in the Bug Reports already which is probably where it should be.

Resize the app.paizo.com iframe on the library so you don't get two different scrollbars to scroll through a page of results.

Please add redirects from the old /products/bt123456 URLs to the same product in the new store. This means old links out on the internet directing you to buy a product will still work.

Can we also get links between the various formats of a product? Like PDF to Hardcover/Softcover/Foundry Code (ideally also mentioning if you've previously purchased one of the other formats?)

I think it is an option? If you click the Sort button there is an option for Name A-Z (and Name Z-A).

Though confusingly, you have to click Apply for it to actually sort, and it will reset the current search so you have to go back to that field and hit enter again.

For products that have multiple variants, can we please have a link that includes the variant so when you share it it loads the variant you were looking at instead of the base variant?

I'm just reiterating the call for the categorisation in the library to put everything on one page. It is extremely counterintuitive to click on a category for adventures, see only one of the many you own, and then have to click through multiple pages to see all of them. Have multiple pages of different categories if it is necessary, but each category should be self-contained and contain all items of that category in your library without needing to change through pages.

Just so it's in this list: the return of discounted CODE-only Foundry VTT products because you own the PDF/Physical equivalent product.

If BigCommerce doesn't support this, I don't know if there might be something possible with the Paizo Connect and the new foundryvtt.store as an alternative?

The font styling of links which are embedded in body content on both the store and blog is too subtle; the very-dark-grey coloration of them does not stand out enough from the black of the surrounding body text. I have encountered places both in product descriptions and in the blog where I didn't realize something even was a link until, being a bit confused, I hovered over it and saw the hover style kick in. There really should be a stronger difference in color and/or something like underlining to make the links more visible.

For instance, on https://paizo.com/blog/welcome-to-the-new-paizo-store , see the visual on the "For more details, check out our Subscriptions at the New Paizo Store blog." text which has an embedded link; and then again at the end of the article, where "Explore the New Paizo Store!" is a link but it just looks like a heading.

Spent only a little bit of time browsing; so these are mostly just minor information flow optimization suggestions. All the following were done on Google Chrome Browser on a Macbook Pro on the east coast. I am only going to highlight suggestions and not the went well portions, because there are many many many many great things about the redesign (different editions for a product is AMAZING).

1. Subscriptions page should probably display "Best Selling" as the default, as A-Z doesn't really make sense. There is no reason "Accessories" should show up as the default first item. This is something you could definitely measure via traffic to following pages.

2. There are only 26 subscriptions, yet they are spread across three different pages. Each page takes time to load. The tiles could be "hidden" under a load more. The subscriptions page takes 800ms to load, but after all the other elements get loaded its 2600ms. To resort by review adds an additional 800ms. Going to page 2 takes another 700ms. This was tested on the East coast. There are lots of opportunities to improve this, either by decreasing load times or just enabling something like 25 elements by default and enable dynamic Elements per page (25, 50, 100, etc).

3. The subscription image and title should pull from some dynamic catalog for the upcoming item. You should also be able to do a click down to see all the upcoming announced items. Given that you can "skip an item" for the month but not be able to see it is a bad experience. You have to click through multiple pages each taking ~800ms to then finally skip a subscription is annoying. I could spend less time on a quick email ;) .

4. When Looking at the subscriptions there should be some clear indication which one you already have. I know this is for a minority of the users; but still a useful feature.

5. Store search bar. The autocomplete is so laughably slow you might as well disable it. I typed in dwarv to see how long it would take to populate the drop down and it took 2.12s (700ms on subsequent searches, seems like cold search takes longer). I'm not sure what you are using for your search index; but that is way too slow for autocomplete. But if you click the search button it's much faster. For example Did a search for sky king's tomb, took 800ms.

6. When clicking the eye icon on the Pathfinder GM core after searching. The text is scrunched. There is one word per line. It's unreadable and defeats the purpose of the preview.

At this point, it seems like there is no button to preview a review, which would be a helpful addition (and the ability to dod spoiler tags if they are not available in some fashion)

the old store Library would list every item you had bought and could download. A long list. But I could scroll up and down, see what I had in a sensible organised form either categorised, and grouped by game system and title (where there were several downloads under the title).

Now I see a piddly few items on a page, and have to page through, hunting to find things. I can't find them easily.
Can you please add a toggle to change the number of items displayed on a page, and preferably ending with an option to display ALL items, no matter how many.

Leave it to the user and their web-browser to cope with scrolling. (On a 4K monitor and a gaming PC with Win11, a browser page of any plausible list of purchased items is easy to scroll. I have no desire to repeat the exercise on the tiny screen of some mobile device.)

This is more of a curiosity than a suggestion, but how are we supposed to know with the current library when an update of our PDFs go through? I know it's not the highest priority, but currently there is no way to know when a product was last updated.

Hey Guys,
Overall I think it's an improvement but I have a few notes in regards to the library.
1. Too much space is wasted in the top blue bar. This compounds with a few other issues that follow.
2. The fact as you expand items, it increases the length of the product window pushing the pagination links and other items lower on the list below the footer causing the need to scroll down to click for the next page. A narrower blue bar from #1 would help this a bit.
3. In the library, once you click on a subitem like Rulebooks, why is there another category called Digital Editions requiring another click. Is there another type of edition that I could view in my catalog because there's no print edition option. Not only does this add a click for every single category I want to delve into, it's also yet another line item in the vertical space which you already have at a premium with #1 and #2 above.
4. I'd highly suggest making the Group By Name/Group By Category as either a dropdown list or radio buttons. Then I would make the Pathfinder/Starfinder/Accessories/other main categories as tabs at the top of the library portion of the page like you do on your main home page. This again would save some of the space wasted on these items in the vertical space you're short on.
5. I understand why the single download and the download per chapter existed in the old store, but that should no longer be needed. With the new modal popups, there's no reason all entries can't be added into one modal and thus can eliminate the need to have two entries for every book you provide the separate chapter downloads for. This would help with the vertical space, but also showing the number of items per page showing actual different books.
6. I was hoping this might change with the refresh, but I guess not. I understand the need for item codes to be an ID in your database and for inventory and finance reasons, but there's absolutely zero reason why the downloads should not have the title of the book/adventure in the name. Why are my downloads titled PZ01051555? It makes it so that I have to rename them once I download them. Remove that hassle from your customers please and just give the download file names something customer friendly.
7. Searching works great, except why can't it just return a list of the items? I understand when I'm searching through my categories, but if I'm looking for Shining Kingdoms and search by 'shining' why am I getting results where I have to click into the categories still? Just give me a straight list of links without having to navigate into each subcategory.
8. The Sort options are.....questionable? Why can't I sort by just category like Pathfinder Rulebooks? With the way it orders them default by dates, it means my rulebooks are scattered across pages. Maybe have a few sort options that have subcategories? Sorty by System/Type/Alphabetical, etc, but still have the sort by publish date, last downloaded, as options as well. I'm sure there are people that the recent will work great for if they download everything every month, but for those looking to grab all their beastiaries and related books, they're going to be going through pages upon pages trying to find them if they can't remember the exact title.

I think that is all I'll put. Others have stated similar, and put in other requests like being able to increase result count to the results in the library.

Again, this is an improvement, and the website overall looks sharp. I will add one request that hopefully was fixed with this new site and that's that your catalog keeps track of inventory better. In the past I've tried to order APs that would show added to cart, but wouldn't actually be in there.

A lot of the issues above could have been spotted by a UX designer. I don't know who developed the app, but if they didn't do UX reviews on this it might be good to get an outside UX review for other suggestions. I'm hoping this is just a few iterations beyond your minimum viable product so you're still iterating with the developers on it. It really is an improvement over the old site, but there are still things that need to be looked at and improved upon.

please sort out the naming of the download files - currently they just have some random strings of characters for the file names, this doesnt help when you have multiple downloads

when you search for a particular product in your library - currently the search result doest differentiate between single file or file per chapter - they both present the same in the list and require you to click through to find out which file is which.

So the Downloads page isn't going to be improved? For example, why is there a section for Rule Books, and another for 2nd Edition Rulebooks that the first should be under? But somehow wall of the Remastered Rulebooks are under... Other, along with every other book you didn't classify into its own category?

Please, reorganize it in a way that makes sense. It's worse now than ever.

Currently the items under My Subsciptions are not hyperlinked. It would be great if the books and subs on that page linked to the store page. For instance so I could see what the next item of my Starfinder Adventure Sub was, or see the description of a book that I'm getting.

A related products section for items. This would cover a number of things including:
* Different versions of the same product (special edition covers, pocket edition books, PDFs, etc)
* Related products such as the maps used for a particular Society scenario or pawn sets for an AP
* Figurines that are tied to a product

I am probably missing some obvious examples. We don’t need an Amazon style Other Customers bought with this product, but some products have others that are strongly related.

Even in the flipmaps, you would have things like Basic, Bigger Basic and Enormous basic.

Ability to add items to a subscription order in order to reduce shipping costs.

We used to have the ability to hold an order for shipment until the next subscription order. If that is no longer possible, perhaps we could have a timeframe in which orders added will ship with the subscription or something like that?

In the subforums, where posts disappear (from the front of the page) after someone else posts after you, can you please remove that bug, or at least ensure that the last five posts still appear, rather than one.

It's particularly annoying where someone engages in thread necromancy, or where someone repeatedly posts in a thread to ensure they stay at the top, because everybody else's posts disappear...

Really need to be able to choose shipping option for subscriptions. In my area, if I am only getting an AP or a Map, it would come USPS. USPS loses, damages, or delays shipments of that size 90% of the time. I never use it when I am getting just one of those Items. I had to have one order resent 4 times, which is 4 times Paizo had to cover the shipping cost.

Is there a way to view your active subscriptions, or is this intended to be handled by the current version of the "My Subscriptions" interface? What I mean is, "You are currently subscribed to the following: Pathfinder Rules, Pathfinder Lost Omens, Starfinder Rules," perhaps with a "next product" for that subscription listed.

The way it's listed now (by upcoming releases) seems ... confusing and obtuse to me. Or maybe I'm the one being obtuse. :) I'd like to see my currently active subscriptions so that, when I consider adding new ones, I don't accidentally add one to which I am already subscribed. Likewise, when it comes time to (sadly) unsubscribe from something, having the complete list would be a convenience.

The review system has lost many features. Could we please get back the following?

- Ability to edit/update a review: mistakes happen.
- linking reviews to your account so readers can find other reviews written by the same person
- Ability to format your reviews, currently, even if you are reposting a properly formatted review (bold text, spoiler tags, paragraphs), it turns into a huge, very hard-to-read block of text. This makes it next to impossible to write nuanced reviews that anyone would actually bother reading.
- limit the ability to post a review to people who are logged into a store account
