Do magical items resize to fit the wearer, and if so, does their bulk change to match their new size?

I'm sure I saw that mentioned as a general rule somewhere, but I can't seem to find it in the remaster.

I haven't been able to find any ruling about that in the rulebooks, but there is a ruling in Pathfinder Society that magic items get resized when you invest them (though so far only listed for Tiny creatures).

Seems fair enough.

Magical items do not automatically change size based on the user (else a Giant Barbarian could not wield their oversized weapon- it keeps shrinking).

I think the standard is supposed to be more "when you change size, your gear shifts with you" and "when you find a piece of gear, the alterations to make it fit you are trivial enough to handwave away." Basically "your gear is always the size you want it to be."

I vaguely remember reading something like that - but I thought it was for a different game system. Pathfinder1e or Starfinder or something.

I don't remember anything specifically for PF2 about magical items changing size. The closest that I can find is in the Treasure by Level rules regarding adjusting the treasure in a published AP to account for the characters playing in the campaign.

You might also consider making changes to the treasure found in a published adventure to better fit the needs of the party, such as changing a +1 longbow into a +1 longsword if none of the PCs use bows.

It doesn't mention item size, but that would certainly be another example that qualifies.

I know it's in PF1E, and it could be in Starfinder too. All wearable magic items other than armor resized to fit a character in PF1E.

Not necessarily all wearable items, but the PF1 rules made it clear that usually the size of wearable items (aside from armor) wasn't an issue because they could be adjusted to fit either through physical or magical means.

Size and Magic Items

When an article of magic clothing or jewelry is discovered, most of the time size shouldn’t be an issue. Many magic garments are made to be easily adjustable, or they adjust themselves magically to the wearer. Size should not keep characters of various kinds from using magic items. There may be rare exceptions, especially with race-specific items.

Armor and Weapon Sizes: Armor and weapons that are found at random have a 30% chance of being Small (01–30), a 60% chance of being Medium (31–90), and a 10% chance of being any other size (91–100).
