I have one additional opening for a game that's just kicked off. Here is the link to the original recruitment: Link to Recruitment Page
In addition to looking through the build rules carefully, please take a look at the gameplay thread and make sure you can deal with the narrative style -- this is going to be a lot of talking and description. Some players like that, some don't, but that's what this is. This is a sword and planet homebrew that is very complex, and the narrative is more like reading a Malazan Book of the Fallen novel than a standard dungeon crawl or other common campaign format. It has its own cosmology and lore assumptions that are extremely different from FR, Golarion, or similar settings.

I've received an inquiry about this game that I think prompts and additional clarification
--the rules are a kind of half-gestalt where you get a the class abilities (i.e. the 'special column in the class table), but not the spell casting of another class. It's intended mainly to give you access to something like a fighter for additional feats, or another class with bonus feats or free talents of some sort.

Okay, I’ve spent the past few days looking at your gameplay thread and I really like the fish out of water concept as well as the narrative style of the campaign.
I’m thinking an otterling of some sort (just can’t resist the cuteness factor) but I’m not sure of a class yet. I should have something fleshed out later today.
Also, I am just returning to the boards after disappearing for a year due to personal matters (if you have any questions PM me)
Thanks and good gaming!

Just so you know how you'll enter -- your earth soul will take over one of the other crew members of the Dawnlight's Last Glistening when you're ready -- I think the other characters are going to be spending at least a few more posts/days getting clarification on the place of their host bodies in the setting before they head off to the temple to try to find the High Scrificiants regalia the following day.

Let me just give everyone the quick set up from the game thus far -- there's a planet called Sutar'ra, and it's had 2 big disasters since it's 'Golden Age of Tech' when everyone was psionic, and they had skyscrapers, robots, spaceships, and computers
(1) Some of the sorcerers contacted evil entities in a place called the 'Inferno' -- basically the Abyss/Hell. These 'Infernals' used sorcerous cabals to invade. There were 3 Great Infernal/Demon wars between the children of the younger gods, and the followers of the Infernals. This ended with something like a standoff, where no side completely won. The demons were getting the upper hand until the second disaster happened --
(2) The 'dragon gods' of the Sanguine Storm invaded while the other two groups were slugging it out. These are godlike elemental creatures in the shapes of dragons that are tied to hundreds of 'false' elements like flame, breeze, sand, etc. that are parodies of Earth, Air, Fire Water. The elemental armies of the Sanguine Storm outnumber the demons and their opponents together over 100-1. They've gradually worn down all opposition over the last few thousand years, and were on the verge of devouring all remaining life, when they were stopped by the imposition of a supernatural 'veil' by most of the gods, and the druids, sacrificing their life energy to erect this barrier.
Now, the Sanguine Storm is trying to find a way to destroy the Veil, and it's clear they're interested in eating the rest of the cosmos if they manage to finish nomming on Sutar'ra. One of their creations just told the players they have hungry eyes for Earth if they get done with their current project.

It's in some ways an expansion of ideas I started thinking about with that game that became several similar homebrew worlds -- we'd love to have you along if you'd like to play.
Thank you for the invitation!
I would say yes with pleasure, but with the rules in effect here i'll need some time to build a character, because i no only the Psionic rules and nothing of the rest.Sebecloki |

no hurry, lapyd told me they need some time too -- the campaign set up is easy to include new players in, so there will be no plot issues whenever you want to start. A new Earth soul can enter the world at any point.

Quick question can you have a multi-class archetype and the abilities from the 'special' table of a second class (i.e., no spellcasting), only the stuff in the column labeled 'special'.
Also, I’ve done a lot of reading as I’m not familiar with some of the source material but Im pretty close to settling on something. Im leaning toward something druid-ish but I don’t want wild shape or a pet so I’m making harder on myself.

Yes
for fluff -- you're one of the last druids (there's only maybe a few dozen on the entire planet at this point, maybe as few as double digits -- like 30 or so). Almost all of them were involved in a ritual to impose the Veil, and sacrificed their life forces. They were almost replaced by a new order known as 'Mana Wardens' or 'Elemental Guards' -- elemental gishes that have arisen to serve some of the same protective functions as the old druid circles.

Alright, this is what I’m looking at:
An Otterling (mink) Untamed fury (multi class archetype Druid/Barbarian) / Legendary Ranger vmc Bard
He should be useful in and out of combat with a bit of versatility. I plan on taking the possessed hand feat thinking that the former owner (Druid) has stubbornly hung around. Also, vmc bard might change to vmc Oracle but we shall see. If anyone have any input or ideas let me know.
