Interest check: Alternity

Recruitment

Would you rather the one published in the 90s by TSR or the new version by Sasquatch Games?

What kind of game? Space Opera/Space Western like StarDrive, Dark Nebula, or Protostar? Conspiracy thriller ala Dark Matter or even post apocalypse?

Old school.

StarDrive or DarkMatter

Ok so follow up. If DarkMatter would you want it to be set in modern day or when the setting was published (late 90s)?

Oh, I'm good either way. Having owned the material then, and having lived through the intervening 25 years, I can see lots of opportunities for new conspiracies.

Your call really. I'll play whatever, I loved Alternity and hated to see it go.

Liberty's Edge

I haven't played but I'd be interested in either. I have the Stardrive setting book and the newer Alternity book

Somebody drop me a PM if this goes to get off the ground.

Yo! I have always wanted to give Alternity a fair shake, so curious to see if this moves forward.

I'd be interested in either Star*Drive or Dark Matter. Preference toward old school rules (IIRC I have copies of everything) and heavy preference for the space opera over conspiracy horror.

Hey dickie, nice to see you again. I think with the interest so far and my usual crew I'll have enough to fill a table. It might be a bit before I get things organized, I want to finish out my Strange Aeons games, which is about a quarter through the last book so it will probably be a couple of months yet.

I'll send out PMs to you folks if and when I do a recruitment.

Question? Were you thinking of using the introductory modules (red star something and black star whatever)? I was considering running them as a one-shot for folks who wanted to learn/brush up on the rules (like myself). Had an idea for something original but just don't have the time to put it together while relearning the rules well enough to set it up right.

Dark Archive

I prefer old school, but I have both and would be quite keen to play.

I hadn't really thought about it too much. So if you wanted to run them I can work around it.
