Has any one already separately compiled a list of the best 1001 ideas threads (and similar) privately and would be willing to share it?
Otherwise I guess I'll start a labour of love in the next couple of weeks...

As Voltaire once said, "First, we must define our terms."
What qualifies, for you, as "best"?
Do the threads in question need to provide a fully detailed walkthrough, or are threads that are just spit-balling ideas and concepts adequate?
Some of my favorites, ideas I would rank towards "best" would start with a search for Covens. Just so much flavor available, so much you can do when you involve a Hag, or three. Grab your favorite, or "best" half a dozen Coven-related threads... should be a decent place to start, at least.

No such list - I outsource that sort of thing to search engines - but I could give you a bunch of suggestions if you like. Are you looking at threads here or ones on other forums too?

Really for 'best' I just mean the ones that didn't peter out after 3 options.
I'm happy enough with the single line descriptions as well as the more in-depth work.

I've started a small list on my profile based on some posts I still had open in tabs. I'm going to keep the list public and keep working on it as I come across anything.
I haven't always linked directly to the first post in a thread either.
The issue with searching seems to be that they don't all use the consistent '1001...' terminology.
I think primarily on Paizo forums first but if you have any good links to other sources, I'll just add your post to the list.
I think the broader we can make the list the better a resource it can be for pretty much anyone who needs it and if it starts to get unwieldy, I'm happy to curate it into different lists with different criteria.

From paizo.com, besides 1001 many have names including 101 or 100, and searching for cleaves or looking at Goth Guru's threads will find more.
A few I've liked & in most cases contributed to:
worldbuilding via random races
inconsequential flora/fauna
spaceship rooms
outdoor objects
teleportation errors
reasons to leave town
villagers
job notices at an arcane college
From rpg.net; the mods are neutral evil even when their cause is just, but there's a fairly large number of people active there and they create some useful material. This is not a complete list - it's just what caught my eye skimming the last few pages of creative threads.
legendary weapons
creepy events
problems
SF Lovecraftian entities
rationales for swappable abilities
fantasy setting things
places & their secrets
non-evil uses for necromancy
fortresses

I had a few glitches with the list system, so there will be a few duplicates on the list at the moment, but I'd like to get this resource sorted out eventually.
I'm going to keep digging for more threads to add, if anyone wanders through the list while I'm working (not just you avr) and notices any dupes, can they post in here and I'll fix them up.
Because I'm at 40-ish already (and will eventually separate any paizo links to their own list item), I will definitely look at trying to categorise them further when the list is close to completion and splitting into separate lists.
Also, yeah, I do need to go through the Cleaves threads.
Forgot about them.
I think there's also a contents of crates one I'll have to look up.

Anyone have a list of different spellbooks? I'm not looking for "list of spells by level" generators but rather unique spellbook designs like
1. Bound in human flesh and inked in blood
2. Dragonhide with copper-edged paper
3. 17 cuneiform tablets bound in horse hair and contained in an eelskin box
That kind of thing. G squared, anything like that on your horizon?

There's a thread on ships around the Shattered Sea which I liked.
Sorry Mark, While I do remember seeing a lot of spellbook designs in Pages from the Mages in Dragon magazine, I don't remember seeing a thread for the same.

All threads added to the list. Now at over 50 different resources about resources.
I'll keep compiling for now and then look at fine tuning in a bit.
Had some real life work to get sorted recently too, which slowed me down.
@Mark: I haven't seen one. Start it and I'll add it to the list. It's a great idea.

I don't know if it's the same kind of format as most of the list threads, but I remember seeing something exactly like this. My knee jerk response is the Voodist-Monk was involved with the thread, but casters aren't his favorites, so I may be mixing my memories. I'll scroll through my favorited posts and see if anything jumps out. Just so I'm not chasing my tail, you didn't do a non-list style thread on this topic did you?
I still don't know how to format links on these posts.
Quick search found a thread under rules sub forum entitled "Non-book spellbooks"
The other thread I'm thinking of involved someone talking about making real world props for his games. Specifically creating unique and artistic "real" spell books for his players.
