"Ooops!" she says as she dismisses the spell.

She kneels next to the fallen enemy and taps her with a charge of her wand of infernal healing.

"I happen to like this effect...but this might feel...a little uncomfortable," she adds.

As the group tends to the captive, Thallin begins searching the building.

Ludovico approaches Dylara and says, You are wounded. I have this magical wound that heals wounds. With your permission, I can apply some of its magic to your injuries.

Eldon helps to tie up the surviving political offenders. While the others patch their wounds, the elf holds his rapier at the ready in front of their faces "A fake movement and count you dead woman. No more magic today"

Dylara smiles at Ludovico and pulls out her own wand of cure light wounds after sheating her sword.

Thallin collects up the letters and puts them into his backpack. "These letters look to be incriminating."

Thallin approaches Thalia and shows her the letters. "Now we have more then just the words of this woman. I am sorry to say that my gut instinct seems to have come true. You father, by the sound of it, is intending to eliminate you from the political table."

Than considers the situation a moment then continues talking to the young girl. You mentioned, earlier, that you would inherit your fathers interests if he where incarcerated. If we where willing to help you in this matter, would you be willing to lend your political weight to the pathfinder society in exchange for our efforts?"

Unfortunately, Thallin is one of the few characters I have that is not diverse in knowledge skills. His race is Kellid.

The only knowledge skill Gruugdúrz has is arcana.

Rubbing his hands together, Gruugdúrz asks:

No, I am Chelaxian and I do not have either of those knowledge skills, yet.

Ludovico contemplates Thalia's words and says to Thalin, Well, this was not the outcome we set out to accomplish, but, ultimately, our mission was to secure funding and support for other operations that I will not mention here. If Thalia agrees to aid us, I see no issue in supporting her now

Ludovico is talking it out, wrapping his LN brain around the new development. :)

“Depending on how politically tied he father is, incarceration my not be an option. We could help Thalia work out a mutually beneficial situation, or we could approach someone opposed to her father’s political ambitions and apply what we know there. “Thalia,” Thallin says as he turns to look at the woman, ” will probably know who her father’s opposition is.”

"It seems we have both someone to blame for the events and an opportunity to fulfil our ultimate goal" the elven warrior looks back at Thalia "Good, I vote to go to the guard with this proves. If they are reluctant to go against the major, then we will have to call the Andoran authorities in the capital"

And so, the elf makes the woman to stand up and escorts her to the guard if the rest of the party agrees.

"We should just go to the captain of the guard. Hes a true Andoran." Thalia says.

You know that by Andoran Common Law, the courts would be well within their rights to confiscate all of Tercio's holdings leaving Thalia with nothing. It probably wont happen that way but it could.

"Or, this could all blow up in our faces," Saarai says. "But the guy seems like a real jerk...he certainly didn't help us any. But if he's pulling all the puppet strings here, let's cut them and see what happens. I've always found it easier to ask forgiveness than permission."

"Thallia's father certainly wasn't helpful. All this intrigue would explain why. Going to the guard is probably a good bet. As much as I like fighting, the local guard won't look too kindly on my more dead bodies round here, I'm sure."

Thallin takes a moment to consider all the gears in play. "My gut is not sitting well with this. Something seems off, and i'm not sure what it is. This could very well be a shell game of misdirection. If at all possible, I would like to verify that these letters are indeed in her fathers hand writing. To do that we will need a document with his writing on it."

"You could sneak into his office again," Dylara suggests.

"There should be plenty of documents to compare the handwriting with there."

Its his. No doubt. Thallia will id it. So what now? The society gave you a 2 part mission and one is down, you hope.

"I leave the final decision to the group. I feel moderately confident that the writing is his. I am OK with taking this to the captain of the guard. That being said, I will follow what the majority of the group feels we should do."

I believe to acquire funding for the war efforts at the Worldwound.

"We could attempt to blackmail her father into submission, by threatening to expose his little ruse if he doesn't play ball.

"The problem I see with that is that it would probably only work as long as we were here in Andorran."

[Dylara Yssal]

"I say we report him and let Thalia inherit everything. She will back us with the funding."

[Saarai Shae]

"Bah...why not? Let's shake things up a bit!" Saarai agrees. "We would certainly have an ally more eager to help us...well, if this works, that is."

"That's assuming this isn't some sort of backwards manipulation. I'm sure I am reading into this to much. Lets get this over with."

Thallin agrees with the process of handing the evidence over to the Captain.

Very well, then, if that is the group consensus, let us see the Captain. The most important thing, and the primary goal of us being here, is to secure funding and support for ongoing campaigns.

Ludovico looks at Thalia. This plan will suffice, assuming the state does not confiscate all of the Andares estate and assuming Thalia stays true to her word.

"Well, that seems settled for the moment."

Then addressing the alchemist and her surviving guard, making sure the hands of both are bound good and proper:

"Up on your feet, you lot! We're off to see the Captain. Wouldn't want to interrupt a Halfling's meal time. Much. No funny stuff on the way either. I'm not always of a sunny disposition."

Gruugdúrz will tie a rope between the two of them, so he can control them on the way to the Captain's if anything goes amiss.

"Does anyone think they should gagged?"
"I can just see them trying to tell the locals WE are the bad guys."
"It would be easy for us to be mistaken for slavers in Andoran."

"I'm OK, if you want to gag them, but I don't think the gag will be any less ominous."

Dylara cuts off some of the dead man's shirt and gags the two surviving enemies with it. "That should keep them quiet."

Eldon supports the group idea and keeps silently following them to the guards "This is Andoran, let's have faith justice will be applied"

Also with the documents you found you know, Collectively, the documents provide incomplete evidence that the Andares family has colluded with several other noteworthy families to rig local elections and keep each other in important offices. The documents also suggest that Sander Bryton might be involved in helping Tercio Andares to remain a consul in return for similar treatment. If Thalia hears of Bryton’s possible involvement, she shares that although he is suspect, he may be able to provide you with military aid.

The captain is aghast by the evidence and the allegations, but overjoyed to see Thalia. Then Goes to arrest Tercio.

What now?

[Thallin Quin]

Thallin shrugs. "Now that Pandora's box is open, I don't see any motivation for any of the offending houses to aid us what so ever. In fact, I would assume they would now consider us contemptible. The only option I can think of at this point, is what aid Thalia will be able to provide, once she is capable. We could present a case to the other noble families of Andoran, and possibly the supreme elect. What we are asking for is in the best interest of all free men. I'm sure the people of Andoran would prefer not to be the slave of a demon nation any more than the rest of us. Now that we have provided the city with something of value, with the evidence of corruption, maybe the council or the other nobles will see fit you lend their weight in the fight taking place at the Worldwound. It can't hurt to ask."

"Maybe we should follow the captain to be sure the arrest actually happens."
"If several families are in on this they may not go at all quietly."
"If they do fight with, or kill, the captain that could undo our work here so far."

Did the halfling captain go alone, or with an escort?

He brought guards. Also Thalia will provide monetary aid once she has it but doesnt have the ability to give military aid.

Then we have succeeded on funding the war effort, but not found any military support.

"In order to make an attempt to persuade Andoran to join the fight at the Worldwound, we should approach the Andoran council or Elect. If Thalia adds her voice to ours, we might be able to persuade Andoran to join the fight."

[Eldon García]

"Wait, you said before that one of the suspects, Bryton, might provide military support" Eldon open his hands on a sign of where the solution might be "Let us have a meeting with him and see what can we arrange with the man. Aiding him to elude responsibility on this affair might soften his will when it comes to provide military aid on the Society goals on the Worldwound."

[Saarai Shae]

"That sounds like a decent plan," Saarai says to Eldon. "Let's try that."

"Thalia, can you introduce us to Bryton?" asks Eldon. If so, the elf proposes for the group to arrange a surprise meeting to the man.

If no one is against, the group moves to Bryton's house with Thalia, arranges a fast meeting and forces him to accept an agreement to support the Worldwound Society exploration military on exchange of him cleaning the responsibilities on Thalia's kidnapping.

"Do you see this arrangement as fruitful Mr. Bryton?" poses the elf with a half-smile.
