Gruugdúrz walks into the room with the guards who surrendered. Glowering at them. With a sneer, he says:
"I'm not interested in your politics. But we're here to do a job we are. Since you delicate flowers won't fight, tell us all about this kidnapping. And that means telling us EVERYTHING - RIGHT NOW!!"
intimidate: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Gruugdúrz will punctuate this by expending one rage round and using his Demonic Bulk feature. He'll flash his claws for that much more emphasis. But he won't actually attack them.
When he does this, he'll stand at 11 ft 4 in tall, and weigh about a ton, as per the Enlarge Person effects. Just doing this to try and boost his Intimidate result and get them to tell us all. I've enlarged his icon on the map too.

"And whom are the oppressors according to you" states Eldon calmed while trying to support Gruugdúrz with a kinder position.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Thallin moves up to the entrance of the building and stairs at Gruugdurz for a moment. After catching the better half of the conversation the magus raises his eyebrows and adds in his 2 coopers worth. "I would tell the big guy what he wants to know, before he gets angry."
Intimidate (Aid Gruugdurz): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9

Ludovico adds, Look here, we are on a rather tight schedule, so I advise you to speak quickly.

Thallin glances at the rest of the group. "Let me guess. He's going to have a blade to her throat." The magus says as he slowly shakes his head.

"What about the oppressors, who are the oppressors?" insist the Eldon while he looks to the place they are pointing about Enderios.
Then, the elf has a look 'there' wherever they mean, rapier at a hand ready to finish whatever danger.
Perception (+1 vs traps): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Thallin glances over to Eldon and then over to Guugdurz. I wonder which of the two he was calling a dolt.
"We are going to have to decide on what to do with these two. This is obviously sounding political now, which we know full well the limitless ambitions of politicians. If you decided to kill them, please make it quick."
Intimidate (Aid Gruugdurz): 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10
Thallin slings his bow over his shoulder and then begins inspecting the stairs for traps. Taking (10) on the perception checks to inspect the stairs.
Perception: 10 + 7 = 17
Once the magus reaches the top of the stairs he begins inspecting the door for traps.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Assuming there is no traps on the door or stairs apply the following.
Thallin begins to quietly listen at the door.

Ok This makes no sense. The scenario says that 2 wait inside but then sounds like this all happened elsewhere. So im confused... So we will pretend this happened outside. And not you head in. No traps
"No! Don't kill us! We told you what you wanted to know. Just let us go. We'll never come back to Andora! Honest word!" The man begs.
You move into the house.
This charred husk of a structure was probably once beautiful. Stone bas-reliefs depicting Aroden and Chelish military victories line the high reaches of the walls, though what little remains of a second floor is now sealed off by the collapsed roof. Despite the rest of the house’s decrepit state, the floor is swept clean yet water-stained, and a stack of bedrolls and knapsacks are piled just beside the stairs.
Sitting on the stairs you see Thalia, a fair-featured human woman in her thirties with curly black hair and a fashionable sky-blue Andoren dress, sits on the lowest stairs with her hands tied before her and her
captor Almant Enderios holding the other end of the 30-foot-long rope. Despite having been kept prisoner for a number of days in less-than-comfortable conditions, Thalia is in good spirits and is still healthy. She is reading an essay of some sort as you approach. A man stands guard with his sword drawn but lowered. He is an olive-skinned young man in a long red woolen coat. "Who are you and why are you attacking us?" He demands.

No worries. I have come across a lot of scenarios that have had inconsistencies. We will roll with it.
"You first! Who are you and why are you attacking us? Why is that woman tied up like a dog?"

Before following Thalin into the other room, Gruudúrz will address the two captives: "You two are pathetic! Run as fast as you can back to Galt. And next time you dainties try to fight, you better wear brown trousers! Just leave, NOW, before I get hungry and change my mind about not killing you!"
intimidate: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
… he will then follow Thallin into the other room.
"This looks easy. Too Easy. I don't like it!"
Gruugdúrz will cast a Shield spell on himself. (AC 24 for 5 minutes)
He'll have Magathaz, his Lucerne hammer, at the ready.
He's got Orc names for all the tools of his trades (his weapons), if anyone's wondering.

![]() |

"What in the hell do you mean runaway? What is she running away from, and what makes you think you own her?"

![]() |

Gruugdúrz will move closer to the guard, but just outside the reach of his Lucerne hammer, Magathaz. Then he'll address Lady Thalia: "Excuse me for asking, Ma'am. But can you tell us what this windbag … " pointing to Enderios " … is on about?"
"This still looks much too easy! They have some tricks up their sleeves. I know it! Hopefully I can drop that guard quickly if he tries any funny stuff."
He's bracing himself mentally for a fight. Especially since he's almost provoking it himself.

The elf observes cautiously the environment and Lady Thalia reactions.

Will DC 14: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 I guess that is a glitterdust, so... blind
"Oh! What is this! F&+~!" screams Eldon as he is unable to see.
Despite the new state, he starts reacting before the enemy can move. The elf uses his spell combat ability to cast shocking grasp on his rapier, and 5 foot steps to attack the offender at the last place he saw him.
Arcane pooled cold iron rapier-PA-Spell combat+shocking grasp: 1d20 + 10 - 1 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 1 - 2 + 3 = 14
Blind mischance 50%: 1d100 ⇒ 42
He just finds the air, but then follows with his normal attack connection, while still holding the charge of the spell on his blade.
Arcane pooled cold iron rapier-PA-Spell combat+shocking grasp: 1d20 + 10 - 1 - 2 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 10 - 1 - 2 + 3 = 16
Blind mischance 50%: 1d100 ⇒ 67
Cold iron/Magic/Piercing damage+PA+Shocking grasp electrical damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 4d6 ⇒ (5) + 6 + 2 + (6, 4, 6, 5) = 34
So basically spell combat (full-round action) to cast a spell and make an attack with a -2, using spellstrike to transfer the free attack of shocking grasp to my blade. As I fail the first attempt, the charge is hold and it comes into play in the second attack.
