I'm confused about how, when, and where to spend Achievement Points and Fame on Boons. Until recently, I assumed that Achievement Points and Fame would be spent on Boons in some sort of online repository. My local group corrected me yesterday, explaining that all I need to do is note it down on my sheet and subtract the fame I spend. However, that still leaves me with the question of what exactly the Boons section under "My Organized Play" is for. Could someone please explain this to me? This is for 2nd edition Pathfinder Society.

The achievement point system isn't working yet, so you can't yet acquire ACP boons. Here's a list of what they are supposed to be when they get the system working: Blog about ACP
The boons section is for the achievement points. While the upcoming boons aren't there yet, you can currently acquire a free, full rebuild boon from there if you feel like you want to make some changes or adjustments to your character.

The Boons section is still be developed. Once it is complete, you will be able to spend Achievement Points (AcP) on Boons. You will receive a PDF of the Boon, personalized to the character, to then keep with your character.
But the functionality is not yet complete.
You spend Fame on boons from the factions. You note the expenditure of the Fame on the Chronicle and now you have access to the boon you purchased from the faction.
Hopefully that helps.
