Are we sure about that though? Because the Titan Mauler ability specifically says:
You gain access to one weapon one size larger than you, of any weapon type otherwise available at character creation.
Emphasis mine. This implies that oversized weapons are probably at least Uncommon, and that you only gain access to one. But then again, much like anything else Uncommon, if you find them in your adventures (such as fighting a lot of Large enemies) you could probably take those with you and either just use them or... whatever it takes to gain Access for Crafting purposes.

I'm amused by the concept of a giant instinct barbarian who can find oversized guisarmes just anywhere, but cannot find an oversized glaive, glaive-guisarme, fauchard-fork, spontoon, bill, or bohemian earspoon to save their life.
I guess it is more about finding a crafter who knows how to make these. Making the same weapon you know how to craft, just bigger, is no big deal. Making a weapon you do not know is a different matter entirely.

No big deal? Ask a medieval (or current) swordsmith to forge you a functional arming sword sized for an ogre, see how well you fare.
And swords are tricky, I know, but crafting any weapons much bigger or smaller than what you've learned, and are used to, will be a sure recipe for a migraine.

Just a quick double check. there isn't any adjustment to weapon stats in 2ed for size just bulk and cost? So the main thing the giant instinct barbarian gets is the reach? I looked for info on changing the damage die for size but didn't find anything.
Reach and the increased Rage Damage. All you get from using a bigger wep normally is Clumsy 1

The really funny thing is the Titan Mauler-granted oversized weapon explicitly doesn't even change the bulk or cost of that weapon. So the weapon in and of itself doesn't actually do anything but give you Clumsy 1, and then allow you to use the other abilities as relevant.

Large weapons have increased bulk and cost, as detailed in the equipment chapter.

they wrote it as one weapon so jerks like me didn't run around duel wielding bastards swords this edition. you get the benefit to one weapon at a time to any weapon that you can buy at character creation. so if you have room for the bulk go ham. purchasing the weapon in a town for large price is like placing a order with the blacksmith why would you have to forge your self?

I'm pretty sure "access to a weapon" means you can buy more if you want, so by all means dual wield as a giant barbarian.
It's just that Barbarianism strongly discourages agile weapons (you halve your bonus damage from rage), has no real feat support for two-weapon fighting, and "having two weapons" doesn't do anything in this edition except "if you strike, you can use either weapon" (so no bonus attacks.)
So a Barbarian with two bastard swords needs to multiclass to be better at "hitting things with bastard swords" than a barbarian with one bastard sword.

Giant instinct barbarians are really screwed w/o their Large weapons, especially at higher levels; they lose all but 2 hp of their Rage damage. So having one or more backups is essential if you can manage the Bulk (maybe on a riding/pack animal). For frugality and access I suggest a Large staff or club, Price 0, Bulk 2, which you should be able to get from a large tree.
(At least I believe "you can just get it from a tree" is why regular staves and clubs are free; I don't think there's a vendor in every town giving them away as some kind of promotion.)
