Info on Drow Society

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Dark Archive

Does anyone know of a web page that gives info on Drow Society such as who owns what city, who the 12 great houses are and info on their hierarchy, that sort of thing?

Shadow Lodge

Hrm. Most of that info is collected on the unofficial Pathfinder Wiki, but originally the biggest source is Into The Darklands, with a lot of Second Darkness too.

Dark Archive

Ok and its a full-on description of every detail like who runs each house, details on drow life and its cities?

Scarab Sages

No, what you ask for is beyond the scope of any Golarion book today.
What you will find is:

Into tha darklands: 13 pages on Sekamina (the layer of the darklands the drow are found), it's layout and inhabitants

Descent into midnight: 12 Pages on the Demon lords of Golarion and how they are worshippes, expanded in Book of the Damned 2 - Lords of Chaos

The Armageddon Echo: 12 Pages on the Drow of Golarion, info on their society and their genesis, general information on the demon Lords they worship

Endless Night: An adventure set in and around a Drow city, 10 pages on the city proper, 6 pages on the drow art of fleshwarping.

No race/ethnicity/nation is described in the level of detail you ask for, and if they ever get around to do so, I doubt that the drow will be the one to start with.

With Orcs, Goblins and Kobolds of Golarion, I see no reason not to have a similar book for Drow.

Scarab Sages

Me neither, but the level of detail in those books is less then what I think the OP is lookin for.

Well...that sucks. But I guess Ill order it anyway to see what I come up with. Im planning on writing a pathfinder series on a drow assassin and really I just need to know who the great houses are, who the important people are in each, what cities they own, where the darkland surface entries are, and info on the layout of the second and first cavern levels.

A SIGNIFICANT amount of the information you are looking for can be found in Pathfinder AP Volumes #15 and especially #16.

The article "Drow of Golarion" in #15 is 12 pages long.

The entire adventure "Endless Night" in #16 takes place in Zirnakaynin, the largest drow city on Golarion, and there's a LOT of info in there about drow.

Furthermore, there are two drow-related support articles in that volume. The first is a 10 page gazetteer of the city of Zirnakaynin, which has a lot of info about the 12 greatest drow houses are in addition to maps and location info.

The second article in that volume is a 6 page article about drow fleshwarping.

And beyond Zirnakaynin, there's a fair amount of info about drow in "Into the Darklands."

And there's a big poster map of the city of Zirnakaynin in the Second Darkness map folio.

All in all... we actually HAVE published quite a lot about the drow of Golarion. It just doesn't exist online as a web page, nor does it all exist in one single book.

I would, personally, LOVE to do a big drow book for Pathfinder, though.

Read: do... big... drow... boo...

And seriously, we would love you to write a big book about drows. As long as it keeps the quality matching that of The Lord Of Madness or else you will be given to fleshcrafters.

Feel free to help out The wiki By adding data from your research. The wiki only hosts cannon data though

Silver Crusade

Rival Guide features a small band of survivors from one ruined drow house, though I can't recall what city they were from. There's probably not a lot of new cultural info there, but they could present some new drow-centric ideas.
