My metabolism shifted round my 27th. That was also a time of extreme stress so I did a s%#$ ton of stress eating. So it packed on quickly, and didnt go away easily...

And with the world as it is I've also been doing a lot of stress eating.

I don't know what I do is specifically stress eating. I think I carry my stress in my back. I just really enjoy good food. It runs in my dads side of the family. I am probably one of the healthiest of that side except the little ones. I think when I get hitched in November and we get our own place I'm going to devote a lot of energy to getting into a good shape so I can be one of the few on my dads side to make it past 60.

I need to start yoga again...

Could have been. I've been petting other kitties... :O

Is ok. I'm not the jealous type.

Also in my quest to finish the fridge nutella, I discovered this. Please reduce the nutella to one eighth of what the recipe calls for, I did it and its fine. Anything else would be sweetness overdose. And there's no need to add nutella to the bottom of the jar.

Ya I also eat when I'm stressed. Like there aren't many chocolates in the fridge left. I'm sort of trying to scratch my ice cream itch with nutella oats. Its cold, milky, thick and chocolatey.

That is a thing i am interested in now.

So gran are you back to having to work again yet?

Depends on what you mean. I've never been laid off, always had 40 hours, but the hotel hasn't reopened yet. Supposed to next month, some time.

I for sure mean them reopening.

No.

well They keep predicting a second wave soon (I'm not sure that it even slowed down in Tn) so maybe you won't Although it might be in august? So you might get a month.

I don't look forward to opening again. But we'll see what happens.

I hate that we are slowly creeping back up to busy and hiring people on again. It feels to rushed but I guess we will see.

I know our sister property has rehired 2 housekeepers and a part-time desk clerk. I think one of the reasons the owners want us reopened soon is that they are having to turn away some business because of the time between renting rooms. After someone checks out, they go in, clean the bathroom and strip the bedding from the room, then leave it empty for two days. Then they go in, clean the room again, put fresh bedding on, and sell the room. So basically, they only have 1/3 of their rooms available each night. So they want us reopened so we can do the same.

Ours is close to that but 1/2 instead of 1/3 We are pretty well selling what we got.

I've started streaming my Minecraft bedrock world. So far I have 1 follower but they are super supportive so their is that. I guess I need practice and a face cam.

A thought/concern I've been having. I tend to hear about my coworkers having more problems with people at work then I do. Now of course i'm night so I see less so. that is expected. Even when it is the same people however I tend to get less rudeness directed at me. I usually chalk it up to me being kind of a big fella that looks like the kind of person you shouldn't upset, or maybe it's my winning attitude. (yeah I can shift gears fast) I am recently thinking that maybe some of these guest are just being needlessly rude because some of my coworkers are minorities. I don't get it because i'm not. I don't know it's probably multi-faceted and varies from person to person. Plus once again I don't see people as much. It's just something I've been thinking about.

2nd shift tells me that they get more rude people than I do, but they're not minorities so I'm not sure that's the whole issue.

I am like half way through the 2nd book in the 5 book dark prism series by brent weeks. It's so good.

Fine, I'll wear a shirt! But no underwear!!

Underwear is a three-edged sword.

Well, three-edged swords did exist, and they did come under the category of small(s)swords, so that's true.

If that was captain... Captain is both older then I thought and has very larges breasts. Who knew?

I feel like i'm especially getting the dumb ones at the hotel right now. I guess all the smart ones are staying home.

I will NEVER hear dwarven songs like Tolkien again.

Thank you!

I was honestly expecting that to be pretty boring and dour. That's exactly how dwarves would play music.

That, or they've read what I've posted about you in the MENSA chatroom and are avoiding you like the plague. Which is extra funny, because there actually is a plague to avoid right now.

Oh my in laws let the baguette I baked for them sit in the fridge so long it went mouldy and had to be thrown away because someone gave them stuff from a commercial bakery (who have no qualms in adding sugar) that tasted better. I told them I wasn't baking anything else for them. Bread making takes like 3 hours, so that's 3 hours of my life that got thrown into the dustbin. I'm pissed to put it.

That's just rude of them.

Otherwise, how are things going?

Less busy or I wouldn't be posting here. But I'm getting irritated at last min oh we're going to so-and-so house so don't cook lunch and dinner for us - at 10 am in the morning where I've already defrosted everything in prep for lunch.

Or like, at 11am - is lunch ready yet? I need to meet a client at noon. Da fk? I get lunch ready at noon most days and you say I cook too early, you prefer lunch at 1pm?

Maybe you should just make a bunch of sandwiches and such, put them in the fridge, and tell them "Lunches for the week are ready. Grab one when you are hungry."

Or not. That might make them upset.
