Will there be any more tables opening up for the PFS 2 or Starfinder specials at GenCon? How about additional PFS 2 tables in general? I'm going for the first time since the 70s and I really would love to participate in the first PFS 2 games.
They adjust based on ticket sales, although with everything being sold out, there doesn't appear to be room to adjust.
However, they also take GM volunteers up to the edge and add tables as they are able based on those new volunteers.
Unfortunately, the only way to snag one of these new seats is to stay vigilant. They haven't been announced when they've been added in the past, but people are always looking and ready to snatch them up.

More tickets will be added sometime in the week or two so keep an eye out.

Since I signed up to GM it, yes.

Every new person who steps up to GM is another possibility to open a new table for all the players who couldn't get tickets, so if you or anyone you know is willing to pitch in and fill the need, this is a great time to volunteer! My first convention that I volunteered to GM, it was on the spot at GenCon for the Season 3 special when there were enough tables but seemingly not enough GMs (they eventually worked it out and I did not, in fact, have to run a Special cold, whew!). If there's one thing I know about the OrgPlay community, it's that we always come together and pitch in when the need is there.
Also everyone who signed up to GM PF2 this year on launch, like those who did so for Starfinder two years ago, is a hero. Huge respect to all of you!

I'm going to put that in my mental vault to pull out whenever someone throws a pencil at my table or tells me I'm bad GM for enforcing the rules or whatever other random stuff GenCon attendees will do to me this year.
Potential volunteers: Don't be scared off. People are people, but most of my tables have been good, and I've had more than a couple that were pure delight. I had a family of six sit at my 1-99; they were the best fun!

Yes, you're running a system that you don't know terribly well, but the players don't know it either and they're almost certainly not going to hold any mistakes against you. I ran SFS 1-00 on release day at a FLGS two years ago and it was a great experience despite the various things I screwed up. You do your best, be an ambassador for the new game you're running and most importantly try to make sure everyone has fun. I had such a good time doing it for Starfinder that I'm going to my first GenCon so I can do it for PF2.
I have 3 opportunities before Gencon. I am looking for modules that have direct ties to "Pass the Torch: Part I" Any recommendatins?

Any player that I see throw something at a GM (or another player) will be marched to HQ to await security and the police. Assault has no place at any game.

Ok, I may or may not have, had a friend, who may or may not, have thrown a pencil down on the table..
I'm wondering what a player should bring to the table. Obviously things like pencil, paper, and dice but what else is a player expected to bring? Normally I would think a filled in character sheet but since 2nd Edition is releasing at GenCon, that won't exactly be available until a few days before at earliest.

You got the basics, plus I would say mini or pawn to represent your PC on the table. I think you are slightly underestimating PFS players because I would be surprised if a few don't have filled out character sheets at the first game and if not then the second game for sure! lol
We will have PFS(2) pregens, though, so don't worry.
