Are people interested in a player vs. player plus a few others gladiator-style game set in the Hold of Belkzen? Martial-themed characters are the ones desired in this type of game.

The idea is that the PCs are the survivors of various battles and raids involving the Orcs of Belkzen and somehow they manage to survive long enough to be sold to an orc gladiator manager.

Just like in an Ancient Rome, PCs who manage to survive at TEN bouts earn their freedom. Unlike Ancient Rome, the orcs do not offer the loser any mercy.

So it is Kill or Be Killed, Mongrel on Mongrel, Till Carrion Arise!

Oooh! Yeth!

What kinds of character creation parameters were you thinking?

Dark Archive

Assuming there is sufficient interest, character generation will use Pathfinder Rules. Character classes that would thrive are the: fighter, barbarian, rogue, ranger, other classes will be considered on a case to case basis. Spellcasters will be in a distinct disadvantage as those who do not swear allegiance to the orcs (i.e. join them) get their tongues ripped out.

Point Buy 25 pts.
Level 3
Equipment will be provided by the arena though do not expect magical or masterwork equipment.
Race: Humans, Elves, Half-Elves, Halfling, Dwarves (they will definitely be mostly slaves though the occassional renegade may exixt)
Half-orcs (criminals sentenced to death in the arena)
Again other races may be considered on a case to case basis.

Interest peaked. I was considering a gladiatorial game myself. Would you be using the performance combat rules?

Oh, definitely interested! This looks like a lot of fun.

Dark Archive

Will check if the performance combat rules are consistent with an orc society.

Interested. I've got a bunch of unused aliases I could repurpose for this, if you're okay with that. Otherwise I'll come up with something new probably this weekend. My weeknights are often taken over by Destiny 2.

interested. Does equipment provided by the arena mean we are free to choose any mundane equipment? or that you will choose our load-out for us?

Very interested, though for me it is very group dependent. The concept could have very fun story potential, but pvp can bring out the worst in competitive people.

How do you feel about Variant MulitClassing?

Dark Archive

not very familiar with variant multiclassing

Basically, give up some feats for limited class abilities from specified other class.
