Suggestions on which campaign would suit a witch

Advice

We are planning on starting a new campaign shortly from level 1. Our cleric has decided to go a Barbarian so right now our group consists of a Barbarian, alchemist and myself a witch. I have played RoTRL so far, all other campaigns are open, which ones would you suggest are best for a witch character to do his thing :) (the AP should be really good too in general)

I really want to play a witch in Hell's Vengeance!

Would be a great chance to play an evil White White from Irrisen.

But most campaigns should fit some type of witch.

It is very thematic to play in witch in Reign of Winter, whether a White Witch or otherwise.

Sovereign Court

Pretty much reign of winter is the most wicked module. It is about witches, feature witches and deal with witches, even a legendary witch is involved in this AP. There isn't even a contest AP wise.

Reign of Winter isn't easy tho, at least compared to other AP. There is quite a possibility of TPK in multiple spots.

I've seen successful witches in both Legacy of Fire and Skull & Shackles.

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'd avoid the ones that are known for being undead heavy, like Mummy's Mask. A lot of witch stuff is mind affecting, and many undead are immune.

A witch would do well in Giantslayer. Giants are inherently good targets for witches and their mind affecting spells. Additionally, the infinite nature of hexes will really help for extended combats and time away from heavily populated areas.

I've played a changeling witch at Reign of Winter and it is terribly thematic. There were a lot of things that make my character feel personally involved.

Way of the Wicked can be interesting for playing an evil witch and use all the nasty options a witch can have too.

Giantslayer indeed. The majority of BBEGs cannot deal with a,witch, though not all.

A witch can be built to deal with any situation so any campaign will suit a witch. As long as the GM is up front with you about the campaign and what it entails you can plan and build an appropriate witch.

You could play a Gravewalker, Hex Channeler, or even combine them.

+1 Reign of Winter. The background stuff for Witch characters, particularly those from a certain region, are really good. I highly recommend looking over the player's guide to see what I mean.
