Rolling Twice on Attack rolls?

Aside from Greater Weapon of the Chosen and Perfect Strike, are there any other feats/class features/abilities that let you reliably roll your attack twice and take the better result? (Reliably being every round, or failing that, enough uses to last most combats/days)


An Inquisitor with the Preacher archetype can reroll attack rolls (and make the enemy re-roll theirs).

Also, Dual-Cursed Oracle, though they're arguably better off using their abilities for saving throws.

Switch to 5e and get advantage ;p

It's such a powerful ability, you'd need a number of sources of it but only fortune is going to last a combat.

Hermean Potential is what I came across recently, pretty decent for a 1st level spell. Quickening it / finding a way to use it swift/free seems like the best bet so you can refresh it when needed without interrupting full attacks.

Any advice on ways to make it a free action? (Best I could come up with was trying to find a way to put it on the bloodrager list for G-bloodrage, or just using a spell combat mindblade magus.)


Why are you trying to get this? Having it work once or twice via hermean potential doesn't seem like it would be that helpful. Like if you just want to be sure you hit you can make people whose attack hot when you roll a 2, don't need two dice for that

Just experimenting with crit fishing, no amount of bonuses to attack can make it more likely that you'll roll within your crit range, but rolling two dice gives you a better chance.

I'm not saying its for optimisation / powergaming, i'm just curious to see how far you can increase the probability of getting a crit during your turn. Also, as a side note: I'm curious to see if its possible to achieve without devoting a precious swift action to. :)

You don't need to use a swift action with G. Weapon of the Chosen, it's a passive ability.

I'm aware, I was commenting on the "Any advice on ways to make it a free action?" part of my previous post. (GWotC has some wonderful uses, but its difficult to qualify for it for most classes, and it only works for a single attack, I made this thread to see if A: there were other reliable ways to get twice rolling with different prerequisites and B: if there was a version which would allow me to twice roll multiple attacks. The free action part is just curiosity to see how flexible/frequent I can make the uses of Hermean Potential, as a first level spell I'll have plenty of uses if I can get access to it, I could use quickened spell to use it every turn, but it's somewhat unappealing because it eats up the valuable swift action.)


Do any metamagic feats increase the number of attacks hermean potential applies to?


While this isn't a reliable means of rolling multiple times, if your GM allows the use of 3rd party traits you could pick this up: Lucky Tattoo


while not exactly what you are looking for there's a paladin archetype that prevents you from ever rolling 2 times and taking the lower of the rolls

Get a channeling buddy to pick up Fateful Channel.
Or, be a life oracle with the spirit guide archetype. Select life as wandering spirit. At level 7 you have 1+cha + 1+cha numbers of channel energy per day. In PFS that currently works out to 14 per day for me. If I really maxed charisma harder I could get 16,but other kinds of items are good, too.
