How to go about creating Ling from Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood

Advice

So I'm nearing the end of this very fleshed out anime and realized this guy could make a great character....basic needs
Blidsense of that life sense version from life oracle
Unarmed/scimitar style fighting
Split personality (one side is very protective of his cause while the other is literally an embodiment of greed)
Natural armor
High speed (not sure exactly about this one could be spring attack/vital strike or just fast movement)

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head any viewer that can add more to my list/anyone that could help recommend a build would be awesome

I'd argue for DR over natural armour. Barbarian is the usual method to get this, and it works well with Vital Strike, and gives extra movement. Maybe take the fiend totem or abyssal blood rage power lines?

Any ideas guys?

Most of this would work with an Unchained monk aside from blindsense
Split personality isn't really a mechanical thing in my opinion.

Yah didn't know if there were mechanics that embodied the little 'tis bits I put in there that's why that hit the list and if that's the case then sounds like life oracle 1/monk? Sorta know the monk of many styles would work with that but not entirely sure if I'd have enough feats

The Oracle curse Shattered Psyche could work as a split personality. The flavour is that you're haunted by many voices in your head, but maybe you can reflavour it as one really dominant voice. You're going Oracle anyway, so you don't have to dip for it (not PFS legal, if it's for that).
I'd agree with DR over natural armour. Ling can get hit, but you can't penetrate his skin. The Barbarian's good for that. Invulnerable Rager gives half level in DR. Also retains his improved speed, so there's that. You might even want to go in Rage Prophet after that. Don't know why, but you have the levels to make it really pay off.

Coolio I'll look into it a little more in a bit but from your ''tis bit sounds pretty good is there a way to get claws from barbarian as well?

Not monk of many styles just unchained monk.

Run with a sword (probably temple) and and Crane style or snake style for the other hand
qinggong power Barkskin for the hardening skin thing. Flying kick for fast movement.

With QCs suggestion for shattered Psyche the Oracle dip can give you everything you want.

There's the Beast Totem line that gives you claw attacks, and you can take Bloodrager bloodlines instead as well. Both Abyssal and Draconic bloodlines give claw attacks.

Id Rager could make a solid split personality and you do get fast movement as a Bloodrager and some DR. No reason you can't go unarmed.

The unchained monk is pretty awesome full bab and the regular style feats with that....can unchained classes take archetypes?

Bit confused about what you mean by snake and crane style for my other hand I didn't see those on the list it provided

Grand Lodge

Different unchained classes have different rules for using archetypes, at least in terms of being PFS-legal. In the case of unchained monk, no archetypes are allowed unless the archetype specifically says that it's compatible with the unchained version of the monk. More details here.

Of course, if this is for a private game and your GM agrees, there's nothing stopping you from applying an archetype to the unchained monk as long as the unchained monk still has whatever abilities the archetype requires you to trade out, or otherwise adapting the archetype to suit your needs.

It's been a while since I've read/seen FMA, but Greedling having lifesense doesn't sound familiar to me. Life oracle would certainly let you get it, but are there other abilities that might do the job? (e.g., if you're just looking for something that reflects his ability to react in battle, would uncanny dodge do the trick?)

One thing you might consider is the Alchemist class with the Master Chymist prestige class. The prestige class literally gives you a separate personality with a different alignment in your transformed state, not to mention natural armor and (if you take the Feral Mutagen discovery) claws. I've heard that this can be very powerful combined with the Vivisectionist archetype (not PFS-legal).

As individuals Ling was able to basically sense life force but could not use alchemy himself so he fought more like an armed monk where as greed had his unarmed/claw fighting style with his perfect shield.....and was trying to avoid spellcasting because he simply can't do it but if it were for the flavor of a curse (which he has bottomless hunger almost to a fault where it makes him weak) and the life sense abilities I would be willing to take spellcasting just picking my spells very precisely

Unchained monk also looks very interesting mostly with the full bab

Their Flurry is pretty nice too since you don't have the negative to hits from two weapon fighting.

Their are fighting styles snake and crane are two that focus on defense. I prefer snake because Crane plays on you fighting defensively, the monk gets pretty much 0 bonuses to hit so fighting defensively hurts quite a lot in my opinion. Snake style initially lets you sub in sense motive checks for AC but eventually it grants you unarmed attacks of oppotunity everytime they miss you.

That is kinda nice a little steep in the rankrequirements though for higher ones

True
but sense motive is pretty much the only social skill a monk can use effectively and besides perception there isn't really any essential skills for a monk, some acrobatics I guess but what else? I guess stealth.

How do you feel about the panther style?
