Greetings and Salutations!
I decided to come out of lurkdom to ask for a bit of help. The BF and I bought Skulls and Shackles last year but stopped playing around Adventure 4 because of both our work-schedules. In the meantime, I thought about playing a solo (in that I'll probably play three characters by myself) game while waiting for the BF's schedule to free up. Going through the class decks I immediately fell in love with Wrathack's flavor text. Just. "Wrathack is the reason why we can't have nice things" resonated with me so much so that I wanted to play her.
My problem is I have no idea how to play a character like her. I'm more accustomed to playing support characters like Kyra for RotRL and Oloch (I love you Oloch, you are my precious cinnamon roll too good for this world. Even if your starting hand is only 4 cards) for S&S. What is the ideal party for her in S&S especially since Jirelle, Lirianne, Feiya, and Oloch are already being played in the on-hold adventure?
Help, advice, suggestions, tips, strategies, links to works detailing Wrathack's origins/backstories/ongoing adventures (just because I am so taken by Wrathack's flavor text) all would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

How big a party were you thinking? If you're open to a party of two, I would think S&S Lem would compliment her quite well. It could be something of a buddy cop pirate adventure.
Edit: Oh you said a party of three. Well, you will want your party to have good coverage of the various skills, which is why I suggested Lem if you were going to do a party of 2. Damiel is another strong pick, as is Lini. And of course there are other class deck options.

Oh man, Wrathack really IS the reason why we can't have nice things (RIP Heggal and Radillo, RIP).
She was also my first character who wasn't support. I love smashing things with her. But that means that SHE needs support!
As First World Bard said, Lem is almost always a good suggestion. If not Lem, you'll need at least one person with Divine (or the ability to heal, like Damiel).
Anyway, I just got really excited to see Wrathack's name in the forums, so that's why I came in. *shuffles off*

If you care about the backstory, then pair her up with other evil characters. Darago, maybe - I think Seltyiel is lawful evil? I think that Zarlova is evil? I am not quite sure...I thought there was a post around here where peeps discussed everyone's alignment. Sooner or later (probably sooner) Hawkmoon will come around and give us the link to it.
This won't be ideal in terms of mechanics, but for the theater of your mind, you will be rampaging everywhere.
TL,DR: GO EVIL OR GO HOME

My favorite support character in S&S is Alahazra. Give her a couple of cures, and she can heal, and her scouting is amazing. And her charisma will make up for Wrathak's lack.
Lem is also good support, and Lini is all around good, as was previously said. People looooove Damiel, but I personally don't really like playing with him.
Zarlova should be true neutral, because cleric of Nethys, but she may be NE. A lot of the class deck characters are evilish because they're based on NPC codex characters, who are largely villainy. Radillo is definitely not on the moral up and up.

Oh man, Darago was my second "Okay, your flavor text? Yes, plz!" character (flavor texts influence me more than I wish they did) and the idea of playing him with the buddy-pirate combo of Lem and Wrathack has "Story Time!" written all over it. Like, Lem is perpetually in a state of "Don't Die, Self!" ramped up to eleven ever since he overheard Darago casually tell Wrathack that he'll make sure Lem sticks with the group for as long as possible. *wink wink nudge nudge*
And now I'm sort of tempted to try two runs, one with a mechanics-based party (Wrathack + Alahazra + Damiel), the other a theater-of-the-mind party (Wrathack + Darago + Lem) and this is not helping but I regret nothing.
In all seriousness, I'll try out different combos for sure (with the two I mentioned being the front-runners). Thanks for the suggestions!

I do like it when people make decisions on characters based on which has the most awesome flavortext. Wrathack and Darago thank you for your support.
Well, maybe not "thank you" exactly. More like "choose not to destroy you today."

Darago's not at ALL evil. He just doesn't apply any great significance to a body once the spirit's left. It's just rotting biomass. However, since it HAD life in it, a little magic can make it do things (as opposed to the GOBS of magic it takes to animate a golem, or some such). I just bet Paladins would adventure with him. (They might be confused as CRAP... "DETECT EVIL!!! Wait... nothing? Ok, THAT was DEFINITELY evil! STILL nothing?!?!? Is this thing still working? I haven't fallen, have I? That's it. I've fallen, and watching a death mage do good while I'm powerless is my living hell...")

Sorry. Busy day at work yesterday. I'm not sure there is a major thread that lists all the alignments, but there are some interesting comments.

Man I wish that was how my group plays. That would be at least 50% predictible.
Instead they make decisions based on how they would play the RPG with a character of that class, sex and race - most of the time without any link with what is actually in their decks or in the location decks. Mega fun but a strategy nightmare. I must admit we don't care. How many times my daughter told me "No way I would play that kind of Blessing: I'm an elf!".
Been playing RPG with her for nearly 10 years and still cannot answer that kind of remark (and why should I?).

*refrains from making a Senpai Noticed Me! comment*
*realizes it's a little too late for that*
I'm a sucker for flavor text. I openly admit that the only reason I got interested in Magic the Gathering cards was to read the flavor text as opposed to the actual game.
I first thought that the ACG would have some aspect of ROLE playing because it was Pathfinder and was admittedly a little disappointed when it turned out to be ROLL playing. I continued playing because it's still loads of fun despite my apparent inability to optimize. (No, Kyra, why did I check that charisma skill instead of maxing out your wisdom QQ)
I did, however, really like the fact that alignment is not a thing in the ACG because otherwise, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to play Wrathack for her CE alignment. (I don't doubt that I would at one point be told "Your actions go against your alignment.") Also, I just really don't like the idea of a race being inherently good/evil as opposed to someone's actions being shaped by both their environment and who they are as an individual. (And why the only Goblins I like are those from Terry Pratchett's world.)

Aaaaah! Oh my gosh, thank you!!! Where can I find this NPC Codex?

That actually sounds fun! My usual group picks characters purely based on mechanics: "Here, you play this archetype because we don't have one and we need that."
