The purpose of this thread is to clarify questions arising in the creation of characters and character concepts. This is a SPOILER filled zone, do not venture further if you do not wish the adventure path to be spoiled for you, and spoiler tags are not required when posting here.
This thread is a GM Reference thread for the Hell's Vengeance Adventure Path, this one for pre game stuff. Links for the individual threads for each part are as follows:

Well, I will start the Ball.
Hell's Rebels Player's Guide: Child of Kintargo (campaign trait) give additional options if one takes the Noble Scion feat, should Hell's Vengeance Player's Guide: Chelish Noble (Campaign trait) give similar bonus options?
^ Can the PCs actually BE member of House Thrune?

The Chelish Noble campaign trait gives you exactly what it says it does, nothing more (so no, it does not give the same options as Hell's Rebels' Child of Kintargo trait).
As for a PC member of House Thrune, it could certainly work, but individual GMs would need to sign off on it, as it could produce a few complications...

I think the answer to that question is the same as the answer to the following question:
would the foreign noble/dignitary in question be fine with swearing mind, body, and soul to a foreign monarch?
Might be why he/she/they is/are actually there, at least partly.
He/she/they might be there to make an alliance (Politcal, Economical, Military, etc) with Cheliax on behalf of his/her/their country, starting undercover might be to judge if it's a "good" idea and the like.

One of my players asked to play a ghoul-character. Are there any suggestions how i could accomplish this without getting too powerful for lvl-1-chars?
Maybe granting special special powers with growing class-levels or slow the level-advancement of that character?
My suggested answer would be NO. The campaign is a highly social and urban setting, not a wilderness dungeon crawl. Having a monster as a member of the Silver Ravens would be a good way to have noteriety take off like an Apollo rocket

Wrong AP.

i finally found this: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/bestiary/monstersAsPCs.html
i will go along with these rules, now a quick question for point-buy-method on creation:
For undead do not have any score in CON it would be very unfair to grant 20 points suggested for 6 Stats when the player needs to spread them on 5 stats only. What do you think i should subtract or how could i handle this otherwise?

- Undeads are destroyed at 0 HP.
- Undeads are healed by Negative Energy, and harmed by Positive Energy... in most APs, that wouldn't be much of a problem, but in HV, the PCs will face of a lot of Positive Energy channeling, Smite Evil, etc enemies.
+ Ghoul have quite a nice stat boost: Str +2, Dex +4, Int +2, Wis +4, Cha +4.
= really depend on what class said PC will be, and if they get the Augmented subtype.

Thx for your thougts, KMWM.
i actually cut the stat-boni in half, remaining: +2 Dex, +2 Wis, +2 Cha
and grant the player 17 pts for gaining Stats (instead of 20). Therefore he will start out at full hp and uses his Cha-Modifier for Hitpoints.
The player hasn´t decided yet what class it will be or if he plays a ghul at all. But this is no harm for we played only two times by now. The villains did the first two jobs so far and the potentially ghul-player is the only one that cannot see in darkness ;) The rest of the party consists of a dhampir cleric (necromancer), a dhampir antipaladin, a strix rogue and a tiefling rogue.

I have a couple of questions:
1) I have a player planning on being a Fearmonger Antipaladin. Has anyone had issues with Intimidate run amok?
2) One of my players would like to take the Damnation feat chain. My assumption is this would preclude him from completely giving himself to House Thrune and missing out on those benefits. Also, has anyone out there allowed a player to start at level 1 with a Patron already in place?
