Real update time: Been on a solid scheduling kick the last few days (Thanks to T Swift, Rihanna, Missy Elliot, Nikki Minaj and John Denver). My current plan is to have it finished written tonight and sent out to the folks that approve it so they can review it Monday/Tuesday. My trusty event data entry sidekick (Katina) is already working on getting Pathfinder Society events entered on paizo.com. After that she'll enter everything but the date and time for events so once the schedule is approved we can get that information public ASAP.
cheers

In addition, what plans does Paizo have for implementing their Twitch stream (if at all) for PaizoCon?Both Nick and Greg will be running Celebrity Gaming sessions again this year. I'm not sure that the hotel's wifi connection would be robust enough to handle live streaming, but I will pass along the suggestion to our community team.
I'm not sure Nick's session would pass the Twitch's community standards...or any community standards. :)
but it was a ton of fun last year.

Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask this (trying to find detailed info about Paizocon can be a bit frustrating sometimes), but will we be notified by email when the event lottery goes live? This is only my second time attending Paizocon, and I didn't even find out about the lottery for last year until a week before the con itself. :(
Thank you,

Basically, there are a number of 'special events' each year that have limited seating. The most common are games run by a Paizo staffer or prominent 3PP. Some seminars might also have limited seating.
Since there might only be 5 or 6 spots open for a given 'special' game, and MANY more than that number who want to play, they do a lottery. You go in and throw your name in for any limited seating event you'd like to take part in. Then, they randomly pick for each such event to see who gets in. The entire thing is automated and very well run, so you can't get double-booked for example. I believe there are also checks built in so that if you are lucky enough to get into a special game, you are less likely to get into other, in order to avoid one person randomly getting into a number of special games or events while another person doesn't get any.
Even if you aren't lucky enough to get into any of the special limited-seating games, there are still plenty of open games (most are PFS) so you'll be able to play plenty of games.
Keep your eyes open because when the lottery goes live, you want to pounce on it asap!

You actually don't need to pounce on it right away. Normally they announce the lottery, and there's roughly a week to put in your preferences before the Paizo Automotons process everything. So, don't delay too long, but there's no need to rush to get your preferences in ASAP.
Yep. The whole point of the lottery is so that you *don't* have to be at your computer the moment event registration becomes available to have a shot at getting in to stuff.
We should be emailing everyone who has a PaizoCon ticket shortly before the lottery goes up.

Timeline for event registration will be short (and hopefully sweet) this year as we are getting far closer to the deadline than we should be.
For the lottery, being as honest with your rankings as possible is what we recommend.
When the lottery ends and we publish the scheduled results, any seats that were not filled by lottery are available (along with additional events like PFS games and seminars) for open registration.

For stuff like the events schedule going live and lottery preferences opening, I like to do a soft rollout, meaning you may see things up on the site before they are officially announced. If there are problems, people usually spot them before we email all attendees. This of course, only occurs for things where an extra day or hours provides no advantage for actual event registration.

Zero. We might push the currently entered events live. Nothing but PFS has had dates or times and location entered though. KAtina's still entering the descriptions. I'm doing a final pass on making sure that there are no conflicting events/schedules. But looking at the amount of stuff I have left to do before I have to leave, I will not be done with that tonight.

Kudos for updating us :D

Events are visible. Katina and I are still entering dates and times so a bunch of stuff is showing as all day long. We probably will be finishing that up sometime tomorrow. Most of the Paizo run seminars have not been entered yet.
If there is anything wrong with your event that you submitted please email me ASAP at PaizoCon@paizo.com. Thanks!

FYI - In Pathfinder Adventure Guild, 7-18 Faithless and Forgotten 3: The Infernal Inheritance is listing as part 2. Might cause some confusion.

A couple questions from a first time con-goer:
1. Is it common for the majority of the "lottery" events to be friday in the morning and early afternoon? I had already booked my flight long ago and wont be arriving until friday afternoon, and it appears I'll miss out on even having a chance to even play in most lottery games. I had assumed special events would be more spread out over the weekend.
2. If you use the Buddy system, does every lottery event require you to use your buddy? or can you pick which specific events you want with your buddy? My buddy is arriving on an early flight and wants to sign up for events that I wont be in town yet. But we still want to try and get in later events together.

No, normally the lotto events are spread throughout the weekend. I don't know why they are all listed as Friday only.
