Hey guys. Anyone interested in playing some of the higher level Emerald Spire adventures on Thursday. I can run any floor up to 14.

Is there a short description for each pre-generated character, like class, role, etc we could see in order to choose before hand?

OK! I've added a session of "Six Seconds to Midnight" to the Warhorn that Majuba linked earlier. Somebody mentioned somewhere that they were looking for this one, and if I'm not mistaken, this is one of the PFS scenarios from the current season that's not regularly being scheduled as part of the standard Con.

and School of Spirits 7-05. Just gotta coordinate which one. But open for anything.

Ah! ... the PFS Special on Sunday night has always been scheduled after the lottery. Last year it started as a lotteried event, but then people asked for it to be moved to post-lottery and it was changed prior to lotteries being locked in.

The problem with the way it is is that if you want to do it, you'll have to mark it as your #1, and miss out on a chance to sit in a high-demand lottery table.

Has there been any issue in the past with having the special non-lottery?

With over 200 seats for the Sunday Night special, have people not been able to get seats for the PaizoCon special in prior cons? If it hasn't been a problem before because there are so many seats, it would stink to have to miss out on a good lottery event because you had to waste a preference for the Paizo Special.

Do you have to have a Pathfinder Society Character that has made it to 9th level (chronicle sheets and all) or can you create a 9th level Pathfinder Society legal character?

Often, the first three of the new season show up at PaizoCon, GenCon, or both. That may be why they're not on the list for the season-ending cons.

When are you getting in? People usually arrange a game or two on Thursday for early arrivals. You might try to convince somebody to run some of those then if you'll be there. (I'll be looking to run or play a game or two myself, but haven't yet figured out what it'll be.)

I'll be there a whole day early too. If you get any games started, I'd be happy to play/run with you guys.

What are hyper events?

To clarify my advice, it's wise to make choices about what events are more important to you. If you [bold]truly[/bold] don't care whether you get into event A or B, rank them both 4s. (Or rank them both 1s, if those are your only selections. In either case, you would be assigned one of the two when it's your turn.) But in most cases you do care and it comes down to which events you want to leave up to fate and which do you want to get in more than the others.

My model when assigning ratings was to assign 4 to the one I most wanted to get into. 3 was the next highest. Depending on how closely the others interested me, I'd do a handful of 2s. Everything else was a 1.

Am I misunderstanding the system? What benefit is there from rating half a dozen things as a 4? These seem to solely be ranking the order of my choices relative to my other choices. If that's...
