Greetings,

My brother and I are looking for a Pathfinder 2e gaming group for online play. We are very familiar with the 2e system, have been playing in two separate groups with this system for the past two years. Each group has fallen apart/burn out, but we are still very interested in joining games that are entrenched or starting from scratch. We are familiar with open world games as well as Adventure Paths and have had experience as players and GMing for over 30 years. With the pandemic our normal in-person game nights have been online only, so we are looking to fill that gap still until vaccines enter our blood streams...maybe longer.

We are on the West Coast of the US so our playtimes have to be after our workday. We are only looking for games on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday nights, as we have a work/family life balance to maintain.

What you get from us is a combined 60 years of gaming experience in multiple systems (D&D, White Wolf, Pathfinder, Mutants & Masterminds, Warhammer, etc). We love roleplaying our characters, we create backstory, but we love tactical combat the most and playing off one another to combo with the party. You can contact me through discord at Pilsberry#7682

Looking forward to hearing from one of you!

Is it even available for pre-order? Or whatever?
As Mark said, since they’re larger than anything we’ve ever shipped out before, we aren’t offering the ability to preorder them until we can provide accurate shipping costs on each order.

TAKE MY MONEY!!!! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR????!!

First time to PaizoCon, so please take my comments with a grain of salt.

Pros
-The PFS Boon rolls were really cool and I enjoyed getting those wooden tokens.
-Super helpful staff members in the gaming store.
-Convenient hotel with lots of good food options around.
-Registration line looked intense, but the staff for that handled it with professionalism and we stood in line for 10-15 minutes tops at the back of the line.

Cons
-No T-Shirts or Pint Glasses
-It was REALLY noisey in the Grand ballroom and it made it difficult to hear the GM's at my tables. Perhaps segment the grand ballroom to cut down on some of the noise.
-Everyone was very confused where to go for their PFS games and it became VERY crowded in the hallway. Move everyone INTO the ballroom and out of the hallway.

Ideas for next year
-T-Shirts/Pint Glasses/Wearable Pathfinder branded gear for sale
-Put the store upstairs and bring the PF Online and the open gaming rooms downstairs. Include the PF Adventure game demos in that room.

Hey there,

Is this an open invite? This will be my first PaizoCon (and really my first RPG con) and I would love to meet some of you people with who I will be gaming with for three days. I'd love to know who has the good room parties and/or what is fun to try and play adventure wise!

The Main Power I want is for this artifact to change a landscape from one form to another. That is going to be a one use ability and will never allow it to be used again.

Though I do want the artifact to have other abilities that can continue to be used. I want to stick to the restoring the world to it's former glory, with a small step at a time, but no powers that are game-changing. I want the players to be able to keep this artifact with them, much like a wizard with a magic staff.

What about minor powers like Druid/Cleric abilities?

I don't want the powers to be combat oriented by any means, but perhaps something that improves diplomacy with animals, elementals, etc. Or grows plants faster, provides sustenance to others, perhaps a small transportation/teleport ability.

I dunno, looking for something cosmetically cool for the party to have that would help give people viewing them using this power from the artifact as memorable to their fame.

I appreciate your caution, I haven't been swayed one way or the other about a sentient-state, so I will gladly take it into consideration.

I could see a grander plot with collecting more of them for completing the full consciousness of the item. Could be pretty cool to see.

The main theme I want to stay with in the game is kingdom building, terrain improving, slave freeing, and army building. With that in mind, what would be great additives to these artifacts to help along those lines?

I really like the plant growth ability and the defiling magic terrain resistance.

I've thought about making this artifact sentient of some sort as well as some long ago consciousness that was used in the Green Age or something prior to the Sorcererking's coming about.

All,

I'm coming to the community for some advice on building a plot artifact that my players will be acquiring in the next game. I basically need to get advice on some fun uses for this plot device.

Small backstory
Players are running a Ultimate Campaign in the Dark Sun setting that is having terrain/food/water problems. Their small kingdom is based well outside of the major city-states and is sheltered from normal merchant/mercenary traffic. They have a small slave army that they are trying to keep growing to one day overtake the BBG sorcerer-king's armies.

In the next session, they are going to be killing a big baddy corrupted Spirit of the Land/Elemental guarding an epic druid artifact gem that has a one-shot use of changing a landscape hex into another type of landscape (desert/mountain/swamp/plains/lake/forest).

There will be a limited number of these artifacts hidden throughout Athas that the players would be questing for, but this will be their first encounter with one.

My question is:

-What other minor powers could the artifact can provide that would be handy/advance a story in this type of campaign/setting without being over-kill?

Please excuse my first-time post to things like this, but how does one sign up for an event like this?

I'm confused. What is the lottery? PaizoCon First timer here.

Hey all,

Just signed up for my first Paizo Con and I am a recent member for the Pathfinder Society. I'm really looking forward to playing in some Pathfinder Society games at the Con, but I don't know where to sign-up for games that may be running.

Any help would be appreciated!

Still very interested.

Did I mention that I am excited for this game?

Since this is the first time running a game of this magnitude for Bobson, I'm of a srong opinion that we shouldn't make this as hard on Bobson as we are making it.

This is a mechanics based game, and he has to keep in mind that PC races need to be balanced for starting out. To make it super easy for him, I'm going to make a human, dwarf, or elf civilization. This is a numbers and map driven game primarily with some 1-2 sentence flavor texts for events. Let's keep it at that and explore these other options for Game #2 after we play-test what works and what doesn't.

Really interested in playing! I love these types of games! Count me in if there is room!

Maybe being able to pay to make your starting hex a specific type (and an associated bonus eg Economy bonus for starting next to water, defense bonus for starting in hills/mountains, stability bonus from having rich farmland nearby (plains)) might be more attractive.

Having some special hexes guaranteed would be good, they help to add flavor and depth (and potentially mechanical benefits) to the whole thing.

I couldn't agree more. Mountains and deserts represent territory that currently don't provide any real benefit to conquer and settle on. There is, currently, no real value to either terrain type, and I for one would love to find a reason to explore and expand in those areas. Perhaps by adding a mechanical, technological, magical, offensive, or defensive advantage to these terrains it may prove lucrative.

It's my humble recommendation to increase the percentage chance of ruins, relics, treasure, npc allies/antagonists, events, quest chains(go to tile X, Y, and Z to gain this reward), monsters/bandits, and magical/technological marvels in these hexes more than others. I, for one, would send out scouts to each of these areas to potentially claim for the future of my race's kingdom.

Can't wait till this gets rolling!
