Was just having some fun, and thought I'd poke at the cookie-cutter equipment list that so many casters in PFS have. Not saying that the list is bad, just saying it's a very common set of gear that I see a lot.

You are pretty much dead on ^^ not personally a fan of the ioun stone since it inevitably leads to arguments though. ^^

And to be fair, almost everything is standard equipment for almost all of my characters.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

That is a great picture! I have most of that stuff on every character.

what would you suggest as alternatives OP

Grand Lodge 5/5 *

I love this.

Personally the Jingasa, Handy Haversack, Potion of CLW, Wand of Healing, and Cloak of Resistance make it on to almost all of my characters.

The headband is a given - extra spells and higher DCs are great.

The Ioun stone has only ever made it onto martials for me though.

Reactionary is an odd trait, I generally consider it to be the bar on which I judge traits. If a trait isn't better than Reactionary for me (in utility and/or flavor) than I'd won't take it. (Personally, I try and avoid Reactionary though)

It's actually rare that a single character of mine will hit every dot on the list. But they do add up to the trend. BTW, the complete set there costs about 24000.

They're all legitimately good items, don't get me wrong. For me it's more a question of what the character will specialize in. Do I need that extra con? Do I need metamagic? Am I likely to get crit and is it bad if I do? Do I need to go before the rest of the party or just before most enemies? Do I think I need pro-evil all the time?

There's plenty of good options for each slot besides these ones.

The Exchange 4/5

this made me laugh thank you.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 ** Venture-Lieutenant, Netherlands—Leiden

I'm missing the spring-loaded wrist sheathes.

My alchemist actually has three wayfinders; one with the clear spindle carefully hidden under his clothes, one ordinary one worn normally, and a discerning one in hand like a tricorder.

Spell storing haramaki seems out of place. The list is missing the initiative boosting ioun stone, masses of scrolls poking out of the haversack, eyes of the eagle and lesser extend rod.

Hmm. My 11th level Summoner has.... 8/13 of those. But Magical Lineage isn't so great on spontaneous casters and the very idea of being close enough to use a spiked gauntlet makes him physically ill. But yeah, that set of somewhat mismatched gear can make you look pretty silly.

Then again, slap on some Sleaves of Many Garments and you're back to looking awesome.

The only standard my casters have are the headband. But the primary stat boosting gear is standard for almost any class

The Exchange 3/5

2 Spring-Loaded wrist Sheath
A metamagic rod
A cracked Dusty Rose Prism
A bundle of wands bought with prestige
A dream journal of the pallid seer
and a miniature shovel!

I tend to skip a lot of the defensive items on the list.

Since Leandro seams interested, here is a clean copy of the picture.

And you're right, I totally forgot the spring loaded wrist sheaths.

I was initially joking, but now you've provided that I'm gonna have to accept the challenge and actually make one using it :D

You forgot the first aid gloves. No well prepped PFS member ever leaves the lodge without a pair.

Let's see on my newest spellcaster I have a +2 Belt of Strength, +1 Brawling Armor, and a +2 Wisdom Headband. She is disturbingly effective for a character I never intended to become a spellcaster.

Post that build, son. Inquiring minds want to know.

Jingasa takes a slot from my circlet of persuasion, magical lineage gets in the way of irrepressible and perception is a class skill,
You also missed the multiple lesser metamagic rods of extend =)
