Hello everyone. After one of my players disappeared I am in the need of a replacement player. This game is going to be a very special game in that it didn't start at the beginning of the AP. We jumped into the start of book 4. So if you've been interested in playing a higher level campaign here is your chance as this is starting at level 11.
I am not requiring that the people who apply here have previous knowledge of the AP but those who have played the first 3 books before will not be turned away because there is no chance of meta gaming because we've skipped that material.
Anyone interested please comment below. Any comments/concerns are also encouraged to be either posted below or you can PM me. I will be on from 10-4 CST to answer any questions. Please see the spoiler below for character creation guidelines.
*Books: All Paizo hardcovers are allowed for feats, spells, magic items except the Occult book. If you want to use other paizo materials(softcovers) ask first but you will more than likely get approved.
*NO third party publishing sources allowed
*Races: All standard races are allowed but that is it.
*Characters should be 11th level.
*You will have 82,000gp to spend. No more than 50% should be spent on a single item. Please keep magic items to those found in hardcovers only. Please try to limit yourselves to 5 wondrous items or less. No such restrictions on potions, rings, rods, wands, or magic weapons exist.
*Two traits will be chosen, one of which must be from the players guide. Drawbacks can be taken but I will take advantage of them.
*Hit points: Roll your hit points as well /level on the boards. If you roll below your average HP for a level you can take average(half your hit dice round up) and replace your roll for that level with that amount.
*Stat generation will be 25 point buy
*All dice rolls should be done in spoilers as to not clutter up the thread.
Right now we have a Half-Orc Warpriest, A human wizard, and a dwarf inquisitor. My players might pop by and give input and they will also have a vote in whom I choose if they wish. As my group is about to head into a VERY large combat and is chomping at the bit to get this started I will be closing this recruitment by Friday Feb 26th. I am looking for 1-2 replacement players.

TwelvePointFivePercent |
Front line. Divine is covered by Inquisitor and Warpriest
Okay. It could easily have been the other way around, was the only reason I was asking - warpriests make pretty good frontliners, and you might be chafing under a lack of 5th and 6th level spells. Good to hear that's not the case.

GM Jol |

Also dotting in, glad someone else asked as I was pondering this morning. When mentioning range, are you looking for a ranged martial damage? spell damage? ranged support class? Have a few ideas floating around but want to make sure it is what the group needs as level 11's take a while to build up properly.

DM Mathpro |
Martial range would be fine. Bard into arcane archer wouldn't be a horrid way to go...not that bards are really good with bows I just like the inspire possibilities. Then again I've always wanted to see what a Zen Archer could do at this level...so many possibilities. Play what you wish to play though don't let me pigeon hole you into something you have no interest in playing just so you can get in.
Just so you know I have a player from another one of my games thats interested in this as well so I will probably take 2 people pending group approval.

MayDay |

Hello! I am interested. I have not played books 4-6, but it looks like that's when the game gets exciting! Which makes this recruitment exciting:D
Edit: I think a "Angel Wings" Aasimar with a Lightning Bow will be my character concept.

Hi. I am quite interested and propose a superstitious Shoanti (Human or half orc) barbarian. He will likely use an earthbreaker. I like the idea of starting at 11th level as that is usually about how high I get to before the game ending. I can post daily except for special events in my life an usually can post more than daily.

So meet Taket, a human Shoanti barbarian who came to Sand Point to warn the town about the giant threat. He was sent because of an omen from a great Shoanti shamen who fortold of the giant's planned attack on the town. He is scarred and tattooed and looks intimidating as hell but has a good heart and will bravely defend his friends. I plan to create a more detailed background for him later.

HP Question - Do we get full HP at first level?

GM Jol |

Looking at Samurai or a Paladin mounted archery build. How are your feelings about kinds of mounts a character would have access to at 11th level? Flying mounts? Unusual mounts? I will go horse and be just fine if that's what you think is best. Either way the character will be more of a tactician from afar, trying to see the battlefield and call out helpful advice to teammates while being able to pin down targets. I have never played RotR so will we be underground the whole time? and the idea of my paladin mounted on his griffon a bad one?

Rorek beat me to the bomber alchemist idea, one of my favorite character types.
Once I get home from work in a couple hours I'm going to make this profile a switch hitter ranger.
I'm fairly familiar with the first three books as I've ran it twice up through the second, and I normally read one book ahead...but I'm pretty unfamiliar with the last three.
Would we still be in Sandpoint or somewhere else in Varisia?
hitpoints: 10d10 ⇒ (5, 4, 1, 8, 1, 7, 2, 3, 4, 5) = 40 so 63 if I'm understanding right.

Aldfrid Banebow |

Here is Aldfrid Banebow, Ulfen Ranger/Fighter (Archer) at your service!
I hope I did everything alright.
Because I forgot to roll the HP first here and then transfer the rolls to PCGen, I'm unable to adjust the HP rolls. However, if it's okay I can just post what PCGen rolled.
Which is this:
12, 9, 10, 8, 5, 10, 11, 4, 11
Again sorry about this. :(

Evan Parah |

Nadezdha, I've noticed on your sheet that you are wearing armor, are you aware that monks loose their wisdom and there extra dodge bonus to ac as well as their Fast Movement, (which I see you have right) if they wear any type of armor? Bracers of Armor are a better choice.
Also your weapon is over 50% of your total gold, which the DM disallowed. I'm pretty sure the no restrictions were for the number of items of the ones he mentioned and not the price.
Just want to give everyone a fair shot and not have the situation where you would have been picked, but had things off on your sheet. :)

Softcover requests:
The primal hunter barbarian archetype from Ranged Tactics Toolbox.
Also, although I won't be using it, the Exceptional Pull feat.
The Startoss Style feat from Weapon Master's Handbook.
The Startoss Comet feat.
The Startoss Shower feat. Also, circumstantial evidence suggests that the 1+1/5lvls attacks are supposed to be additional attacks, since otherwise the feat doesn't do anything different from Startoss Comet until lvl 10, and that'd be strange. Thoughts?
Ricochet Toss from Weapon Master's Handbook.
Finally, the ability for the fighter to take Advanced Weapon Training instead of weapon training with additional weapon groups, from Weapon Master's Handbook.
Sorry to swamp you in requests here, but the new player's companion has loads of good stuff for throwers, so it's kind of hard to avoid it.

I wanted to mention that Taket has an option at level 11 and can either pick up Improved Sunder as a feat (which goes very well with Spell Sunder and is handy in general) or can pick up an extra rage power and be able to pounce. Barbarian pouncing is pretty nasty and some might consider it overpowered. Since I do not really know at what level the combats are run I wanted to get input from the other players and DM before finalizing that choice.

Evan Parah |

Startoss Shower still adds the damage buff to the original feat, so no, its as read. And Ricochet Toss wouldn't be useful with Startoss feats, because the weapon would travel back to you hand after the initial roll, which means no Startoss aside from damage buff. Its the same with using a Blinkback Belt, it would teleport to the belt after the first attack. Your best option is getting the Called enchantment on what you throw. The Returning enchantment also works but you have to stay in the same square so it cuts into your mobility.

I'm not a huge fan of mounts and they won't work for parts of this adventure since there are at least 3 large dungeons that you explore.

The group just returned to Sandpoint.
