LMK which and why.

TIA.

any of the playable races ;)
Elf, or Human as they get can have bonuses to Penetrate spell resistance.

I'd say a sprint, probably the 100 meter.

Species-wise I back Chess Pwn. Elf or human.

Scarab Sages

There is no plain-and-simple "best" race, nor should there be. Each has advantages and disadvantages, including the races which one wouldn't normally associate first-thing with Wizards!

Humans are extremely versatile (and are, IMO, overpowered in Pathfinder).

Half-Elves are almost as versatile, can dabble in the feats, racial Archetypes, and Favored Class Bonuses of both Humans and Elves, have their own Favored Class Bonus as Wizards which can make them amazing Enchanters, and can choose the Arcane Training and Spireborn alternative racial features, which are both useful for Wizards.

Elves have a bonus to Intelligence and Dexterity, come with the wonderful Elven Magic racial feature and a wider menu of weapon proficiencies than most other Wizards, or can trade that out for a bonus to concentration checks. They also have access to the Spellbinder Archetype. The downside is their Constitution penalty.

Gnomes, on the other hand, have a bonus to Constitution, and the Gnomish Magic racial feature that makes their illusions more powerful, or can swap that out for several other great racial features that lend themselves to a variety of other types of magic. Their downside is that they don't get an Intelligence bonus.

Wayang have the same racial bonuses as Elves, but with a less-painful penalty to Wisdom instead of Constitution, and excel at shadow magic. The downside is they're rather hyperspecialized.

Et cetera.

Elf - best racial abilities to support Wizard.

Elf, Human, Tiefling, Gnome, Half-Orc

All have benefits.

Silver Crusade

Nagaji. Definitely nagaji. That -2 intelligence and +2 strength and charisma are key for playing against type. What other race lets you surprise people just by being a wizard?

Shout out to vanilla Tieflings for their quality abilities. A bonus to your main stat and another to a great secondary stat, a penalty to your dump stat, and an array of useful tricks all help a ton. Nevermind the early boons include of immunity to "______ Person" spells, Darkness as a poor man's Vanish, a tail to help you hold scrolls/wands, and adorable little wings to help those level 5 Fly checks. Heck, you could even hang onto the Skilled bonus to make Stealth a reasonable skill for you. (And even better for your familiar, thanks to the ranks transferring over)

The favored class bonus is unremarkable, but going for hit points is hardly a bad deal on a d6 class.

Human; for the bonus feat + extra skill point.

Never underestimate the bonus feat.

Human and Elf are the Best 2 for a Wizard.

The bonus feat doesn't mean much when most Human wizards are going to take Spell Penetration at some point. So the Elf Magic Does make up for that. And it gives you a bonus on spellcraft checks to identify the properties of magic items. So its slightly better than Spell Penetration.

The Favored Class bonus favors the Human. Gaining an Extra spell to your book is one of the strongest FCB options available. But the Elf's Ability to

Can be formidable. Say your A teleportation(conjuration) Wizard and you start grabbing up the ability of Admixture. Now your Blast spells have more options for targets. That kind of Ability can really boost a wizard even if he can only do it 2 times a day. They do sell rods of that ability but that is 1 less thing the Elf has to spend money on.

After Elf and Human my pick would be Half Elfs.

The Half-Elf has the Benefit of choosing between Human and Elf Favored Class Bonuses. This is a very strong Option because if you plan it out right you can have all the spells you need and Versatility.

In PFS Arcane Training from the Half-Elf is actually a decent ability. All those 1st level wands and Scrolls will be given +1 CL. You Mage armor wand works for 2 hours a charge.

Last Mention is the Wayang (If they are still legal in PFS). They can be hyper focused...but that focus is pretty good. Shadow Evocation and Conjuration are really good spells.
