I'm back at work myself after my previous 24-hour stint. Now I have a 16-hour stint to get through. Plus, I was figuring out my bills, and there really isn't a lot of money left over this next pay period, despite working balls-out. It's frustrating, but I should be caught up with everything by October, hopefully.
I feel your bill pain. I really do. Most (if not all) of my overtime is going towards getting my house worked on.

Sickbed is a lot less comfy now I know there's a palm-sized spider somewhere in here.
Awww... is it cute round web builder or a cuddly hairy hunter? Cause web builders are frightened of you. Ok the hunters are too they just tend to be a bit more aggressive about their fear. The web builders will find a corner to build a web in and then catch and eat all those annoying insects. The hunters want tasty insects too but they crawl all around looking for them. When the hunter is afraid he tends to bite. Fortunately a palm sized hunter at any of the Northern climates is almost certainly not poisonous and it can't do any more damage than a pinch would. Heck I surprised one in the shower just last week and got bit on the toe. I promptly removed him from the bathroom so I could shower without drowning him. Good thing too. Cause he found a more appropriate girl friend who I caught him seducing in my basement near the laundry machines. Probably will be a ton of the little guys and girls next spring. I will probably be busy relocating a bunch of them to to front yard where the ants like to battle so they have plenty of food.

Sorry about the scary spider Treppa, but yeah, they won't bite unless provoked. It's hard not to be unnerved when they move as fast as Spidey Gonzales. My sister's cat used to like to catch and eat those big ones.
However... cyborg Treppa would be cool, but Spider-Treppa would be much much cooler.

I wrote! It might even be good!
Neat reading, if short.
Wouldn't that sentence be better if it was:
"... chamber - it was Theophilos" or "Theophilos, one of the eunuchs barged into his chamber"
Also, "Yet he took cate of us" needs correction, I think.

Thanks very much for your comments/constructive criticism!
You're definitely right on both counts. :)

I'm not sure what kind of spider is under my bed. I feel bad because I found it by leaning on it as I climbed into bed. It fit into the palm of my hand with its legs folded partly up and was kind of pale granite shaded. It had a radially symmetric build like a fishing spider, but this is an arid place so not sure what it was.
I didn't have glasses on, so I didn't check out the eye or genital arrangement as recommended by spider identification sites. While I was trying to figure out through a narcotic haze if it was real, it limped down the side of the bed and underneath.
There's a little brown hunter on my windowsill and something bright red was in the bathtub earlier. Oh, and a teensy something in one of my dresser drawers.
I did not know this place had so many spiders.

I was thinking more this, only orange-er and with teeny hands.
If Trump was an alien, I think Spewey would be a closer fit.

After getting burned several too many times, I won't touch politics with a ten-foot pole. Or even one of any other size.

Yes my Laboring is done for the nonce. I came home and collapsed, after a couple days of under 4 hours sleep I was pretty worn. 10 hours asleep according to the FitBit. That's a new record (since records began in May)
I might sleep some more, I'm feeling that way. However, a day off isn't something to waste. I have to check my poor neglected vegetables today

I missed my chance to submit to Wayfinder this time, but honestly there was little enough time to get it done. Next time, perhaps.
Mayhap I shall keep an eye out for the next time they ask for submittals. I had something in each of two older issues a few years back, but since then had better things to do with my time. Since that is sort of no longer the case.....

Meh, I'd rather the kind that pays.

Not a bad idea. I'll put it on the list.

Heal indeed Treppa!
And catch up on sleep Monkey!
I got sucked away (meaning we DID make it to the beach this weekend) into a torrential downpour. :(
(I distinctly remember ordering NO rain on my ONE day at the beach! The Condominium management shall hear of this!) :P
I think there was more seaweed than water, (Honestly, I've seen lees green in my salad!) And the wave was 1 red flag, (the lifeguard said it was barely red, but was fine to swim in, just dont head out for the sandbar) but the waves were fun to body surf. If you like being beaten like a pinata. ;P (Apparently my kids enjoy that kind of thing as much as I do)
Honestly, I think we spent more time driving to and from than we spent in the water. But we DID get in the water! And I don't get to visit with my family but a couple of times a year, so it was good. Great even. :)
Unfortunately, I didn't get to warn my friends before I had to bug out. Sorry all, I will catch up on Pbp's and such soon. Like tomorrow. Night.
I still have to prep a lesson and a script for a class of 11-14 year old theater students for tomorrow first. :P
And with that, wave-beaten Wizard go night.
Night! ;P

Just got a smoke detector. It is in the shape of a gigantic gray moth. Then yesterday one of my cats saw it. True to form, he did all he could to get at it, which ended with him hanging from his claws from the door beneath it then fell down to the floor. So I picked him up and let him batbatbat at it. Since then he has ignored it.
Sorry, little dude. I hade no idea you wanted an all-you-can-eat moth buffet that much...
