I bought mine the winter we had 135 inches of snow, I was in charge of a shoveling crew. :-)

Man, I miss s~@&loads of snow.

Pretty sad when you can make more consistent money at a toy store them shoveling snow.

In Wisconsin.

It is not for everyone, however, as I have painfully learned.

I didn't know it was possible for you to like something.
I like you.
How about a hug?

hugs

One hour before heading out :D

Is there anything sadder than a bald man with a ponytail?

I'm sure there is, but I can't think of one right now.

There are currently four television sets in my apartment: two belong to me, and two to my roommate. Both of mine and one of my roommate's were free (1 left by previous roommate, 1 found in dumpster, 1 donated by friend moving out of state). One TV is hooked up to a DVD player, the second has a built-in DVD player and isn't hooked up to anything, the third is hooked up to the aforementioned 360 (also left by a previous roommate), and the fourth is hooked up to an original Xbox (traded a guitar for it in 2003). We don't have cable or satellite. I think the only reason we haven't gotten rid of some is that no one wants to buy them, and we're both too cheap to throw them out.

Speaking of shirts, and GoT, I finally picked up a House Tyrell t-shirt.

Long live the Queen of Thorns!

I did pack my House Targaryen shirt (BLOOD AND FIRE!!), but not my House Greyjoy

a good friend of me loves to wear his Direwolf shirt, his last name: Stark

We have three t.v. sets, a thirteen inch screen Daewoo we bought on sale for forty bucks when we first moved to Seattle in 2001, we also have one my parents gave us (also thirteen inch) when we moved back to Wisconsin, and we have a big ass one that someone else had found on the curb and then had put on the curb themselves when they moved out. :-)

Flying on a clockwork dragon from the City of Legumes to Aborigiville. So crowding. Much wailing

Although I find it rather humorous that I can pretty muchID with confidence our tribe aboard the flight. I'd say 15% of the passenger manifest will be rolling dice this weekend...

Just made one of my awful patented "whatever's left in the cupboard fried in a pan" meals. This particular dish consists of peas, mustard greens, carrots, and sauerkraut, and it smells like a f*!%ing ashtray.

Silly David, MEAT is for frying! ;P

EDIT- (WITH veggies is fine,... if you must,...) ;)

That is nice! Where is this?

In the vicinity of Leadville, CO. A 2-1/2 hour drive, but worth it if you have a day to kill. There are two massive fourteeners nearby, one named Mt. Elbert, the other Mt. Massive. The big lake is Turquoise Lake, the little ones are a string of alpine lakes called the Emerald Lakes. They're used to help fish hatchlings mature.

Fabulous day. So freakin' sore! But happy.

That looked lovely and quiet and peaceful. :)

When I went to Hawaii, struck up a conversation with people on the beach, and they were from that same town.

What the heck? Is everyone required to live in that town of 25,000 at some time in their lives?

Uh oh, she's figuring out she's the lead on The Treppa Show. What we owe her in backpay and hazard pay will drain our budget for this season. Quick, distract her somehow!

Yes, but it's also expensive (outside of store-brand hot dogs). Mustard greens are 78 cents a can.

Canned greens? There's your problem. Fresh or frozen (fresh is probably cheaper). Canning ruins greans.

I honestly can't tell the difference. Also, around here, canned is often cheaper than fresh.

The process of canning removes pretty much all nutrients from the veggies.

That is not true. It diminishes some vitamins while preserving others.

In any event, I am sure Dave did not mention his meal because he wanted us all to critique it.

Lucky for David, "F&&$ing Ashtray" is the next mystery ingredient on Iron Chef.

My grandma both smoked and had a weakness for Sauerkraut, so I'm pretty sure I know exactly how that tastes.

Hopefully it's not something you have to repeat. I can help a little if needed man, :-)

Not making that mistake again... The whole kitchen smells like wet cigarettes. I guess that's what I get for trying to save money.

Frying sauerkraut sounds like a sort of heresy. It should be stewed with shredded fresh white cabbage, kiełbasa, bacon, and other meats, possibly a few dried mushrooms, and spices. Shame I can't send Dave some kiełbasa and fresh cabbage. It's rather cheap here.

You can also eat sauerkraut as it is as a side dish without cooking. It should be healthy... Assuming what is sold in USA as sauerkraut resemble actual sauerkraut in composition and making. It might need to be mixed with shredded carrots, fresh cabbage, onions, and/or apples if it is too sour, though, which might bump the costs.

GOOD MORNING TREEFORTNAM!!!

Dawn breaks over Indianapolis as a monkey and a badger gird their loins (ow!) and prepare for the opening of GenCon!

Hope you preregistered for some games. I didn't roll one die the year I went. Otherwise, it was great.

ENJOY!!!

I did, well, a few. I'm mostly in seminars. But that's all good!
