I know in the past they gave their opinions on lots (if not all) of items but with the change to a vote I am interested to know their take on it.
I heard someone clam that there was another cull. (I had to get 1 last pun in.) If so, it doesn't appear very deep (not intended to be a pun). Around 75 items. I wonder if that means the voting is all over the place, and there were no clear lines in the sand (also unintended as a pun) for elimination. I expected 100+ items, based on the previous culls.

It's more of a percentage cut, than total number. And in that sense it was very much in line with the others. Just under 20% of items were culled.
Was this in addition to the 3rd cull?

Description
When worn, these leggings shed dim light in a pastel color of the user's choice. Three times a day, when any bard within audible range is performing using a musical instrument, the user may activate the leggings as a standard action. In doing so, the user voluntarily falls under the spell irresistible dance but everyone else within a 20 foot radius must save or also fall under the same spell. On each successive turn, anyone remaining within the item's radius must save again.
The user may end the effect at any time as a free action. Doing so releases everyone else.

Anyone else think they are hanging in there by just a thread?

Sadly everyone, I think I am out of the running. I will continue to vote but I wished I had made it to the Top 32.
Site was just out for a bit. Anyone else suspect anything?

Maybe this is some kind of psychological experiment to see how quickly we turn on each other with each passing cull. Soon there will only be the strongest! All others will be blood at the feet of the 32!
Looks like our voter tags have been updated. We've always voted in Season 9.

In an effort to avoid being too specific in the praise thread all I can say is 'armor' or 'weapon.' With wondrous items I can name a slot thanks to someone's wonderful work. I am wondering if anyone thought about breaking arms and armor into types. Would it be too difficult to add that information now? Is that information too specific to collect (since there are smaller numbers of arms & armor)?
Also would anyone other than me find it easier if the current column were a different color than the rest, or maybe hide the older columns?
Hey all! So was this secret cull 5 items? :-) Last seen vs 3rd cull numbers equal 5. Just wondering. :-D
armytroy wrote: Hey all! So was this secret cull 5 items? :-) Last seen vs 3rd cull numbers equal 5. Just wondering. :-D Total number of items seen after cull 2 was 448. Total items seen after cull 3 is currently 373, which makes 75 items culled in total.

They haven't yet announced another cull since the third one, no.
They announced that a fourth cull was going to happen this afternoon, but they never posted after the fact to confirm that it actually did happen as scheduled. So there may have been another stealth cull.
Perception: 1d20 + 27 ⇒ (18) + 27 = 45
I don't see any cull. But maybe.

We of the Stealth Cull Observation Squad are noticing a suspicious lack of 79 items at time of posting.

Yeah, looks like that cull happened sometime yesterday. The percentages match up with previous culls.

I concur. Not to disparage any of the items that seem to have been hit by this stealth cull, but I tested this assumption by trying to think of a few items that I know had issues, in things like CL and aura, and the four I could come up with off the top of my head where notable in not being seen today. It's anecdotal, but after testing it and then going over the list in detail, I would bet good money we have been hit by a stealth cull late yesterday evening.

It's worth saying...if you believe in the stealth cull, and your item has not yet been seen don't give up hope yet.
If that purported cull were exactly the exact same percentage as Cull 3 there are still 9 items that are alive but unseen.
EDIT: Having said that, escalating percentages have been the rule. But there is a good chance there is at least one more item out there.
Since it was announced beforehand, I'd assume there's a bigger chance for the cull to have happened, rather than not.

Well, looks like I have been culled. It's a shame, as I think this years entry was my strongest. Ah well, there is still the Critique My Item thread to figure out what went wrong... :(

No new sightings in the past hour or so and we are sitting right at 80% of items seen today.
We've got stats for item types, and percentages culled and such. I'd love to see some similar stats on item cost vs items culled.
What's the sweet spot on the price scale is my question.

I wouldn't be stunned to see another 2 or 3 show up...but this is probably about it.

I was thinking something similar. Specifically, the cost of the items that made it into the top 32. Has it changed from year to year?
So...if we're assuming there's been a fourth cull, then why are all the sightings being made in the 3rd cull column?
Dates have been changed, but x's haven't been added.

Because there has been no official confirmation of such a cull. At this moment it is still only a hypothetical cull.
So what's the group wisdom think here--if my item was confirmed as seen by a real life friend last night at 11:05 pm EST, but no sighting reported on the spreadsheet for today, am I probably culled, probably not culled, or "no way to know"?

AM STILL SCHRÖDINGER'S CULL. HOPE AM LET OUT OF THIS BOX SOON; SCHRÖDINGER'S CAT AM REALLY MESSING WITH AM ALLERGIES.
I have just seen an item currently marked as August 26, but I can't seem to update the spreadsheet!
Can somebody who has editing rights to the spreadsheet PM me?
Edit: Never mind, I reloaded it a couple times and now it works. Somebody gets a reprieve (but you probably shouldn't mention it right now).

I...honestly don't know. I think it is more likely than not that a cull would have happened sooner than that, but it's certainly conceivable it was done later.
If I were you I would be prepared to have been culled, but distract myself by working on a map for round 2.

The last word from Paizo was that a cull would probably happen around 2:00 pm PST (5:00 pm EST) yesterday. We don't know for sure, but there's a reasonable chance that an item seem late yesterday is still lurking somewhere, unseen by spreadsheet contributors.
